The admission process for B.Tech courses at KCG College of Technology is quite simple. The applicants are selected based on the merit score which is followed by counselling.

The counselling process is called TNAE  (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) that is chaired by Anna University for admission in B.Tech programs.The recent cutoff according to rank as per the year 2023 is about 29656 rank and above based on the performance in TNAE. The cutoff is subjective to each course and varies each year.

KCG College of Technology does not require candidates to appear for any mandatory entrance exams in order to qualify for BTech or BE admissions.

The admission to both the aforementioned courses is merit-based in the last qualifying exam. KCG College of Technology admits candidates on first cum first served basis.

KCG College of Technology is not very difficult to get admission to, if the candidates are able to secure a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12, for courses such as BTech. Whereas, for courses such as MTech, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in graduation. Moreover, candidates must qualify entrance exams such as TNEA, TANCET or other equivalent exams. Candidates can apply for admission online through the official website for the same and enrol for candidature.  

Candidates must have BTech, BE, BSc, MCA, or MSc in a related field with aggregate marks of 50% and above (45% for SC/ST, OBC/Other categories) and must be qualified in TANCET / GATE for admission. Direct admission to TANCA Counselling is available to candidates with a valid GATE score.
