B.Tech. in Computer Science and Design - Batch of 2025

Absolutely satisfied with my college faculty.
Placements: In my course, which was B.Teach in Computer Science and Design, 75 percent of students were placed. In my course, the highest package was 9 LPA, the lowest package was 3 LPA, and the average package is 5 to 6 LPA. Amazon, Accenture, Infosys, etc., recruited. 55 Percent of students got internships in Accenture, Infosys, Genpact, etc. Top roles offered in my course was web Designer, Graphic Designer, etc.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure that were available in our department were extremely good. It consisted of digital labs, wi-fi, digital classrooms, and a library for different departments. The quality of facilities in the hostel was excellent. It consisted of AC and non-AC rooms, and there were 6 hostels, four hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls, and these hostels had 24/7 monitoring systems for security. The food quality was excellent, they kept non-veg 6 days a week, along with veg and for every block there was a medical facility which was 24/7.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable persons. The course was relevant because it offered hands-on experience in industrial projects and in-house projects. The semester examinations were very easy if the student studied well, and the pass percentage was 90%.
Other: I chose this course because I like graphics, animation, and game design. The best things about my course were learning new things while doing it and gaining experience. There were things to improve in my course, it was excellent. We celebrated an event called Lavaza every year, and we invited celebrities from different industries. Tech fests were organized on campus along with scholarships, and there were many extracurricular activities like dance, sports, music, NCC, NSS, arts and drama, and we called them clubs.

The college provides good placements, training, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: The college was excellent, and coming to the placements, the college has excellent placements and training. Seventy per cent of students have been placed this year. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Cognizant. Roles offered are software engineer, data engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are very good. They provide projectors in teaching classes and provide Wi-Fi and smart classrooms, as well as extraordinary lab facilities. The library has a smart library, and extra facilities are available all over the college. The hostel is good, and the food is good. They provide Wi-Fi and a good atmosphere in the rooms, along with medical facilities. Sports and games are very good, and they conduct games for all hostellers to make them happy.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful, and they will teach everything you ask. They are friendly to every student. Their teaching quality is very good, and professional faculty members were assigned. The course is relevant to the curriculum, and the pass percentage of the college is 90%.
Other: I chose the computer science course to learn coding and to gain knowledge of the tech field, and they taught me very well. They will conduct an event called lavaza every year. This is my favorite event. The university is very good.

B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) - Batch of 2028

Absolutely trash faculty here.
Placements: Our college is a great place to get your research skills upto the mark as it supports research-based studies more, and it encourages research more than the studies going on statistically in the classes. If you want to join my college, then come here if you have an interest in doing research.
Infrastructure: Hostel Wi-Fi is provided, and necessities like water and electricity are provided 24/7, but the food isn't that good. The hostel and campus are ragging-free, so there's no stress about it, as the hostel management is strict about it. There is a lot of free space to roam around in the campus and the hostels.
Faculty: The teachers help with research purposes more, as I told you earlier, and the teaching quality is quite decent, as the course curriculum is quite irrelevant in this AI era. The semester exams aren't very difficult if you have always scored above 80 percent in your boards.
Other: This course is the only course that is untouched by the AI, that's why.

A decent college with good opportunities. If you put in effort.
Placements: The placement scenario for this CSE department is that around 62-75 percent of the students from our batch got through campus placements. The highest package offered is around 12 LPA to 15 LPA, mainly for the product-based international rows. The lowest package is about 3 LPA. While the average package ranges between 4 LPA and 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Infosys, HCL, Tech Mahindra, etc.
Infrastructure: Veltech has good infrastructure for the CSE department. Classrooms are fully equipped, and labs are well-maintained with decent systems and internet connectivity. The library is large and has a good collection of technical books, journals, and digital resources, which are helpful for academics and projects. Hostel facilities are average to good, and rooms are clean and regularly maintained. The best food is manageable, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
Faculty: Most faculty members are available for their support and are approachable, especially in course subjects. Teaching quality varies from faculty to faculty, but overall, the concepts are explained. The curriculum follows a structured university pattern that covers fundamentals like DBMS, OS, CAN, DSA, and programming languages. Students need extra self learning to be fully industry-ready.

A good college with supportive faculty, decent placements, and campus life.
Placements: Placements in our college are average to good, depending on the student's skills and academic performance. Around 60–70% of students from my batch get placed through campus placements. The placement cell is active and provides training in aptitude, technical skills, resume preparation, and mock interviews. The highest package offered is around 6–8 LPA, the lowest package is about 2–3 LPA, and the average package is nearly 3.5–4 LPA. Most students receive packages in the average range.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is good and well-maintained. Classrooms are spacious, properly ventilated. They are equipped with projectors and boards. Laboratories are well equipped with the required systems and instruments for practical learning. Wi-Fi is available across the campus. Though the speed may vary at times. Library has a good collection of textbooks, reference books, journals, and digital resources. It helps with academics and exam preparation. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with clean rooms. Along with regular water supply, and basic facilities. The quality of food in the mess is average, hygienic. Menu is changed regularly.
Faculty: Faculty members in our department are qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most teachers explain concepts clearly and are approachable for doubts both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching quality is good, with a balance of theory and practical sessions. Some faculty members also encourage students to participate in seminars, projects, and workshops. The curriculum is relevant and structured, covering core subjects and the basics required for the industry. It provides a strong theoretical foundation, but students are expected to upgrade their skills through self-learning, internships, and online courses to become fully industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty.
Other: The campus crowd is friendly, diverse, and supportive, with students coming from different backgrounds. The environment is positive. It helps in personal as well as academic growth. I chose this course because it provides good career opportunities and a strong foundation in core subjects. The best part of the course is the balance between theory and practical learning, along with guidance from faculty. The college conducts technical and cultural events, fests, seminars, and workshops regularly. It helps students improve communication and teamwork skills. Extracurricular activities, clubs, and sports are encouraged.
