Well-equipped labs, helpful faculty members, but needs placement improvement.

Placements: I am from the 2023 electrical diploma batch. Around 40 percent of students are placed. The highest package is 3.2 LPA, the lowest is 1.2 LPA, and average is 1.8 LPA. Top recruiters are L&T, Exide, and local industries. About 25 percent of students got internships in small firms. Roles offered are junior engineer and technician.

Infrastructure: Electrical engineering department has well-equipped labs, decent classrooms and access to a shared library with relevant books. Wi-Fi is limited. Hostel facilities are average with basic rooms and common washrooms. Mess food is moderate in quality. There are limited medical and sports facilities.

Faculty: Faculty members are generally helpful and experienced, with good knowledge of subjects. Teaching quality is decent but mostly theory based. The curriculum is standard and somewhat industry-relevant but lacks practical exposure. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty. The pass percentage is around 80-85 percent.

Other: I chose the electrical diploma course (2023 batch) due to personal interest and job scope. The course has good practical elements and experienced teachers. Still more industry visits and workshops would improve it. Campus crowd is friendly, with occasional events and small fests. The surroundings are peaceful, but connectivity is limited. Extracurricular activities are minimal. Scholarship options exist for reserved and meritorious students. Campus life is simple but decent.

The reality of KG Engineering Institute.

Placements: This college has a good placement opportunity. Every better student or average student gets 4 or 5 other companies. There are companies for the below average students. Teachers or professors help to get placement on the college campus.

Infrastructure: The hostel and inverse structure of the course are updated. There is new infrastructure and new buildings for the hostel. The food system and hostel room system are very good. There are many fans, light, and a good water source. There is a security guard for the security of this hostel.

Faculty: The faculty of this college is very good and very friendly. All faculty are helpful to the student who needs any help in urgent or any other problem. The faculty feels that the student sometimes faces financial difficulties in paying the exam fees or the hostel fees. Thereafter, the faculty members are very good.

Other: According to my statement, the college is very good for the new engineering student who wants to experience the engineering life or has interest in engineering terms. This college is very helpful for the students.

Placement quality of this institute and study quality are very good.

Placements: 80% of my batchmates are placed in various companies with different packages. Top recruiting companies are Maruti Suzuki, JSW, and L&T. The lowest package is Rs 12,000 per month, and avarage package is Rs 18,000 per month. Remaining 20% of students are interested in higher education.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this institute is very good with different buildings and different branches. The classroom and laboratories are clean throughout the whole campus. The quality of canteen, mess, sports, and hostel is also very good. Library facilities are available with each semester.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, good, qualified, and knowledgeable in this institute. Teaching quality is also good. This course is helpful for industry training. Semester exams are based on study quality because there are no options for cheating in the examination hall.

Other: I want to become an electrical engineering, so I chose this course. Campus and scholarships are very good at this institute.

Placements: 100% of students get placed in the electrical engineering department. The highest salary offered is Rs. 21,000 per month, and the average package offered is Rs. 16,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 14,000 per month in the electrical engineering course. Average infrastructure and placement.

Placements: 70% of students get placed, and 10% go for higher education. The highest package is 2.4 LPA CTC, and the lowest 1.4 LPA CTC. Top recruiting companies are JSW and Tata EV company. 100% of students got internships (paid and unpaid). Top role offered is diploma engineering trainer.

Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the hostal. Some labs are in bad condition in the old building but new building has some good labs. Classrooms are in the same condition as labs. Library is in terrible condition, necessary books are not available and few good books are there that contain the syllabus.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful from the start of the day but some teachers are rude in behaviour. We have to do atleast two internships in the course, two projects, and also have to give presentation on the two topics. It does not make students industry-ready, the students who do not place are still suffering.

College placed most of the students in many companies. Surroundings of the college are good.

Placements: Most of the students of our college are placed. The highest package is probably 4.75 LPA. All the students are taken for an internship in various companies like Alaknanda Balmukund Ispat Pvt. Ltd., Ardent, etc. The company Ardent comes to college campus for an internship, and for the other mentioned company you have to go there.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Labs are available and occur on daily basis. Classrooms are in good condition. Library is available on college campus. Hostel is good for staying. Food quality at hostel is very good. Wi-Fi is not available for students in college.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and their teaching skills are very excellent. Teachers take classes regularly. Regular basic class tests are conducted. They provide notes for study. The course makes students suitable for industry work. It teaches students manners, behaviour, and other extra things.

Good infrastructure, friendly teachers, and a peaceful environment.

Placements: I have completed diploma in electrical engineering. Around 90% of students from the electrical branch got placed this year. The highest package is 4 LPA. Top companies are JSW, Maruti Suzuki, Aditya Birla, etc. The role offered by the company is DET which is good at diploma level.

Infrastructure: All the required equipments and machines are available in lab. The classroom is also clean and well-structured. Good number of lights and fans are available in the classroom. Washrooms are also well cleaned. There are four hostels at this college Netaji old hostel, New hostel, Modern hostel, and Saradadevi Chatrinibas. Facilities are good in the hostel. Mess and sports are also good in the hostel.

Faculty: All teachers have good and high level of knowledge. Their teaching quality is good, and students can easily understand. They provide understandable study materials also for future scope. Semester exams are good if you have studied well. Otherwise, it will be tough for you.

Other: At KGEI, every department is good and provides good knowledge. There are also so many cultural events and fests in college like freshers welcome, farewell ceremony, reunion, sports, Independence Day, etc.

Placements: Placements at this college are better. Our placement officers are now trying their best to place students, even through off-campus drives. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month, the average is Rs. 15,000 per month, and the highest is Rs. 20,000 per month.

Infrastructure: It was established in 1922. The infrastructure needs to be repaired. The mechanical workshop and fitting workshop need improvements. A new building is also being constructed. Classes are going to be held there in the next month. Hostels are in the same condition as workshops. One can enjoy hostel life through sports. A canteen is available. Medical facilities are also available for initial treatment. The mess is not recommended.

Faculty: We have the best faculty members with a great sense of teaching. They do not teach us, but rather make us feel. Their educational qualifications are at another level. A faculty member holding GATE rank AIR 53 and WBJEE rank GEN 15 teaches us here with humility and politeness.
