Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement in 2024, and really good infrastructure.
Placements: Our college provides 100% placement to all the students. Many big companies have come to select candidates. Highest package our college got that year was 4.8 LPA. Lowest package was 1.8 LPA. About 95% of our college students received offers for internship courses.
Infrastructure: Seriously, it's too good. I'm saying this because it's not that I studied at that college, that's not the case at all. Mess I lived in felt like my own home, not a mess. To be honest, all the seniors were very supportive. Our college also organized annual sports events as well as a mess.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful & qualified ( many of them from IIT Kharagpur). Our college's pass percentage is 90%. Faculty of our college is really good & helpful. All the professors in our college are a treasure trove of knowledge because they explain all these things in great detail, which everyone understands.
Other: Because I was too much interested in mechanical branch. Not all workshops exist in our time, but it's done now. Our college celebrated its 100th anniversary that year, so a grand event was organized. Which I will remember for the rest of my life.

College is very good for Diploma in engineering.
Placements: Maximum 80 percent students are placed. The highest package was 400000 per annum and the lowest package was 300000. There are many companies that recruited our students. Companies such as L&T, DXE, MANDO, Krishna maruti, Pinacal, Polybond etc., were recruiting.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in the old building in our college but at new building there is a free Wi-Fi. Labs are seperate from other buildings. Class rooms are very big. And a library is here in which there are many books available. Hostel is very unclean and canteen food is very poor.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality was excellent. There are 6 semester exam in our college and per semester 2 class test are held. Pass percentage is 100 percent and the students are prepared for industry.

I suggest others stay in the hostel.
Placements: Almost every student got placement atleast in the mechanical department. The lowest salary offered for the 1st year is Rs. 10,000 per month, and the highest salary offered is almost Rs. 20,000 per month. Top companies for the mechanical course are Viraj, L&T and Royal Enfield in 2020. They took a maximum of 5 candidates from a total of 70 candidates. Top companies hired a total of 15 students.
Infrastructure: Our course is very simple. We got visual education and also very good practical accessories. The best thing in our college is the lathe machine. There are 4 hostels of which 1 hostel is for girls, and 3 hostels are for boys. For each year's students, there is a separate hostel. We have a big playground, a good kitchen and a dining hall. We also play sports.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they care about us. They solved every problem, and they have very good knowledge. Their teaching quality is superb. If you are pursuing in our college, then you can be industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like mechanical engineering and cars. I think we have learned everything. We learn about electronics, electrical and computers in the mechanical course. We celebrate Viswakarma Puja very well, freshers welcome and farewell party. Now, there is no farewell due to the covid crisis.

KGEI has taken one of the most important roles in enlightening the mankind.
Placements: I passed out of our college in 2018. I got an 8.2 GPA. The packages offered are from 10,000 to 25,000 per month. Companies like L&T, JBM, Pollybond, Reshmi, etc., came and recruited qualified students. Every student can take part in the test of recruitment, and based on their merit, companies select them.
Infrastructure: Nowadays, the college has improved so much. Internet access is available now. The labs are too good, and teachers help us with anything that we couldn't understand. There is no storage of equipment. Classrooms are clean and have big windows. A cafeteria was opened recently. The food is quite good. Hostel facilities are very appreciable. Four hostels are available in total. The college has a big playground where annual sports are held. A fair called Bishnupur Mela is held every year.
Faculty: The teachers are kind and helpful too. They always help and clear our doubts about any subject. They give study materials also. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers trained the students to gain industrial knowledge. In practical classes, they share their experience to motivate the students.
Other: KGEI is a highly reputed college. I joined this college and the mechanical department to learn more about automobiles. I wish they should enhance providing practical experience on campus. Freshers welcome, Teacher's Day, annual sports, farewell and Pooja are held by the students.

Overall, I had a good experience with the college and faculty members. I recommend this college.
Placements: Now we are in the 3rd year of 5th semester. Many placements were conducted over the last few years. But this year, because of COVID-19 pandemic situation, only one placement was provided by a company named Hyundai. It offered a salary package of 2.5 LPA. Actually, around 50% to 60% of mechanical students got placements in the previous year in L&T, Mahindra, TCS and many other small companies. As it is a diploma college, the jobs are not very high level. However, we easily get jobs with a salary of Rs. 10,000 to 12,000 per month. There are many internships.
Infrastructure: KG Engineering Institute is one of the oldest and great government institutes for diploma students. Here in our course, many workshops like fitter, moulding, machines, Lathe, hydraulic, etc., are provided. There are workshop assistants also. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls for every year of the course. Playground, library and also Wi-Fi are available. There is also a canteen for lite food like tea, biscuits, bread, pakora, etc. Our campus is huge, but the way of placing the building is not much good.
Faculty: Teachers here are educated and also well trained in offline and online classes. They teach us carefully and solve our doubts. They give a proper idea of every basic structure, which helps us in the laboratory and workshop. Some of the classes are held in the audiovisual hall for a proper view of materials and objects. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.
Other: The campus is far from the local crowd. There are a few types of scholarships on the basis of marks in every trade. Annual sports are held.
