KIET is good for engineering and placements.

Placements: KIET is the best place for good placements. Students without backlogs are placed in different IT companies. Almost 80-85% of the students got placed from my branch, ECE. The average salary package offered is around 4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA. Our college has more than 350 recruiters. Almost 80% of the students got internships in IT companies and start-up companies.

Infrastructure: KIET provides many opportunities to prove yourself. The infrastructure is well-structured. The quality of food in the canteen and mess is very good and tasty to eat. Medical facilities are good. Sports students can go up to the state level. Labs, classrooms and library are well-structured, neat and clean.

Faculty: The teachers play a key role in KIET academics, and they all are from IBM company. They all are skilled and well-qualified, and most of the faculty members are PhD doctorates. The teaching method is very good. This course is relevant to students who want to work at the industry level. Exams are not that difficult if you study hard and prepare well. You need only 30% to pass.

Other: KIET conducts big events like KIET Wings, and it is a famous event in Kakinada. They also conduct NCC camps, NSS camps and Hackathons. There are different kinds of fests and events organized by departments as well as management, such as Innotech, Endeavor etc.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as options or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, or any other examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, with the mentioned marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) or equivalent along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from the academic year 2000 onwards. Candidates who have appeared for the final year of 10+2 and who are awaiting for their results are also eligible to apply on provisonal basis.
