Master of Computer Applications (MCA) - Batch of 2026

KIIT diaries from freshers to lifetime experience.
Placements: I am a student in the MCA batch 2024 to 2026 at KIIT. Based on the performance of previous batches and the efforts of the training and placement cell, I have high expectations for our placements. MCA 70 to 80% students get placed every year. The highest package ever for a MCA student is 25 to 30 LPA, and the lowest would be approximately 3 to 4 LPA. The average package range is 8 to 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies are majorly the IT firms like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture etc. I expect 70 to 75% will secure Internships like previous batches, that too with companies like TCS. The top roles offered are Full Stack Developer, Software Developer, and Data Analyst.
Infrastructure: The Infrastructure available is vast. We have access to high speed Wi-Fi, modern air conditioned classrooms with smart technology, and well equipped labs with updated software and hardware. The central library is a fantastic resource with a vast collection of books and journals. Students also go there to study as there is no distraction. The hostel facilities are of high quality with clean and well maintained rooms and bathrooms, and the food in the mess is also of top quality and offers a good variety. Medical facilities at KIMS are available at all times. The University also provides outstanding sports facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members in our department are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and approachable. The quality of teaching is very good, blending practical with theoretical concepts. The course curriculum is updated on a regular basis with the latest industry trends, which gives students confidence that will make them industry ready. The semester exams are moderately challenging, but the guidance and resources provided by the faculty members make them manageable. The pass percentage is mostly high.
Other: I chose MCA at KIIT because of its excellent reputation for placements and its excellent campus life and academic environment. I do wish the university would bring in more product-based companies and startups beyond mass recruiters. KSAC KIIT student activity centre is the heart of all the clubs in the university, which includes robotics, music, social services, etc. KIIT also arranges KIIT FEST every year for 3 days, where students showcase their talents, and there is also a concert night where celebrities come to sing and dance. I would say it is like a lifetime experience for me to study and be a part of such a university.

Awesome fest and infrastructure.
Placements: Placement percentage in our course was approximately 100%. The highest package offered in our course was 32 LPA. The average package was around 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Accenture, Capgemini, etc. Top roles offered were SDE, full stack developer, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course were extremely excellent. Library was available with huge stock books. Computer labs were well-furnished. Quality of hostel was awesome. Canteen food was great. All sports facilities were available.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified, and master's in their respective domains. The teaching quality of our faculty members was great. Course curriculum was relevant. Semester examination was not very difficult. Students were ready for industry jobs.

Good infrastructure, decent placements, and supportive faculty members.
Placements: Around 70-75% of students got placed. The highest package is 6 LPA, the lowest is 2.5 LPA, and average is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are TCS, Wipro, HCL, Tech Mahindra, and Infosys. About 80% of students got internships in companies like TCS, Capgemini, and startups. Top roles offered are software developer, web developer, data analyst, and system engineer.
Infrastructure: MCA department has well-equipped computer labs, high-speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, and a digital library with good study material. Hostel facilities are decent with 24X7 security, clean rooms, and basic furniture. Mess food is average, but canteen has more variety. Medical facilities are available on campus with a health center. Sports ground is good and indoor games are also available.
Faculty: Most teachers are helpful, qualified, and have good knowledge of the subject. Teaching quality is decent, and doubts are cleared properly. MCA curriculum is relevant and includes programming, live projects, and practicals that help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. If you attend classes and study regularly, you can easily pass. Pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: I chose MCA to build a strong career in software and IT. The best part of the course is the practical exposure, coding sessions, and project work. Improvements can be made on campus placements and industry tie-ups. Campus is active with many fests and tech events. Students come from different states, creating a diverse crowd. Connectivity is good, and the campus is clean and green. Scholarships are available based on merit. Extracurricular activities like coding competitions, sports, and cultural events are also conducted.

There are great faculty here at KIIT.
Placements: The placements are amazing, and the maximum number of students get their placements from the campus placements itself. About 70% of students get their placements, and other students find better jobs themselves. The average package is 8-9 LPA and the highest package is 12 LPA, but only a very few students get the highest package. Internships are provided by the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of KIIT is totally value for money, and all types of facilities are available for the students. Food quality is great, and canteens and cafeterias are built on the campus for the students as well as for the faculty. The college mainly focuses on studies, and sports facilities are not provided to the students.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-behaved, and they are available for students and always try their best to resolve the problems of the students. They are well-educated professionals and Ph.D. holders. The curriculum is relevant, but internships are not provided by the college, which is very essential for an industrial learning experience. The passing percentage is 5 CGPA.

Choose wisely and think before choosing the college.
Placements: In my course, students are placed by 80-90%. The highest package for BCA is 8 LPA. Roles are likely to be offered and I don't know much about placements yet there. This year there are total 15 companies for BCA students who can do as many internships as they want to.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good and well-maintained. The hospitality of the hostel is the best. Food quality and everything are perfect. There is 24X7 Wi-Fi and there are open libraries. All classes are fully AC and there are many canteens. There are total 25 campuses in my college.
Faculty: All the professors are Ph.D. The college exams are moderate not tough, not easy. They are quite well and good. The curriculum is well. Professors are quite helpful with a friendly nature and with all due respect. Professors are helpful with all the studies and everything.

Everything is good. If you want to take admission then I would suggest go for B.Tech or MBA.
Placements: There were no recruiters visiting campus, especially for BCA. They were for B.Tech. but the placement cell allowed students to sit. Some of the students got placed in MNCs like Deloitte and Nokia. But the number of girls were higher than the boys. The highest package offered was 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was nice faculty members were supportive. Professors were teaching well; you will be provided with a mentor who will help you emotionally and mentally. The hostel is nice, but the food was pathetic as always. No one likes mess food. But by seeing the fee of the hostel and mess, they can provide good quality food. Wi-Fi was good for entertainment purposes; it is magnificent.
Faculty: Teachers were nice. They Help you in every way. They were good in their subject. As one of my teacher mentioned that Faculty don? T select teachers from anywhere as they should be graduated from Top NIT or IIT. Semester exam was moderate. If you study well you can do well in the exam.
Other: I chose BCA because I am fond of computer science from my school time. But you can do BCA from a normal college; there is no need to go to such a high-level college. But if you want to enjoy your college life, then I will suggest you get admission and create a great memory. Because of their events and fests, its glamorous. You will enjoy it for sure.
