B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering - Batch of 2028
3.6
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good campus life and supportive faculty.
Placements: Around 50–60% of CSE students get placed in my batch. The highest package is about 10–11 LPA, with an average of 3.5–4 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–2.5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, UST Global, Cognizant, and IBS Software. Nearly 30–40% of students receive internships from companies like IBS Software, UST, InApp, and local startups. The major roles offered are Software Engineer, Associate Developer, QA/Test Engineer, IT Support, and Web Developer, with a few opportunities in Data Analysis.
Infrastructure: Our department has decent infrastructure. It has well-equipped computer labs, smart classrooms, project facilities, and a good library. But Wi-Fi is not available for students inside the academic block. Labs are maintained properly. They are useful for practical work. Hostel facilities are comfortable with clean rooms and good basic amenities. The mess food is very good, with daily varieties like biryani, parotta, mandi, and other tasty dishes, which most students enjoy. The canteen also serves good snacks. Medical help is available on campus. Sports facilities like football, basketball, and indoor games are provided.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are generally helpful and well-qualified. Most of them have good subject knowledge. Teaching quality is decent, and doubts are addressed when students take the initiative. The course curriculum is relevant. It covers the important technical subjects, but becoming industry-ready still depends on extra practice in coding, projects, and internships. Semester exams are moderately difficult and mainly based on the university pattern. With regular study, passing is not very hard. The overall pass percentage remains fairly high for most subjects.
Other: I am from the CSE batch, and I chose this course because of my interest in technology and software development. The best part of the course is the practical work through labs and projects. KMCT conducts the Karma festival, a vibrant 3–4 day cultural and technical fest with great participation. Active clubs like IEEE, IEDC, NSS, and other student groups conduct workshops, events, and social activities throughout the year. The campus has a friendly crowd, peaceful surroundings, and good connectivity. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are also available, helping students grow beyond academics.

Average infrastructure facilities but good curriculum and extra curriculum activities.
Placements: This college has average placements. In my batch, about 50% of students are placed in various companies in South India. The highest salary package offered this year is about 6 LPA. There are so many recruiters mostly from startups. Top roles offered are assistant software engineers and trainees.
Infrastructure: The college has an average infrastructure. Labs have all facilities. Hostels also have minimum facilities. The whole campus is enabled with Wi-Fi. The major advantage is college has a great library facility with full Wi-Fi. The canteen has good food availability. Games and sports are regularly conducted each year.
Faculty: The course has a great curriculum. Our college has good teachers with high knowledge. All of them are very helpful by providing notes, exam-oriented revisions, question papers discussions, etc. The curriculum is based on the KTU with good faculty members and syllabus.

Less strength of students, but good placements and high frequency students communities.
Placements: Few students are having fewer back papers placed in companies under on-campus recruitment. And many students have many back papers placed in many companies under community-based off-campus recruitment. So students can easily get placed by choosing the opportunities provided by the college.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is like a hospital. But the facilities provided by the college are good. They provide Wi-Fi, labs, a better library, supporting staff, hostel facility, canteen, playground, annual sports, and games and there is a big national event called KARMA is the main attraction of the college. The canteen food is good and it's less cost.
Faculty: There are many departments in the college with many staffs those have much knowledge in appropriate subjects. Many staffs are very helpful and others are not that much. The pass percentage of the college is very low, but there is no need to worry about the pass percentage, the world is changing to a skills-oriented education, and KMTC provides that under student communities.

The campus atmosphere is good for study.
Placements: I really don't know how many placements are offered. The highest placements are offered in MBA, and the lowest placements are offered in MCA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Wipro, TCS etc. The top roles offered in my course are data analyst, programmer, developer, designer etc. Students also get government jobs.
Infrastructure: There are separate hostels for girls and boys. The classrooms, library and a canteen, are available. Labs are good. Wi-Fi is available. Lots of books are available for us to refer to. Two canteens are available. We can take college buses by paying 10 rupees.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. The course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are good. I really don't know the pass percentage, but the highest CGPA is 9.1. Semester exams are comparatively difficult because this college follows KTU University norms, but it is good for me.
Other: I love computer science. I can find different paths after MCA. Providing more practical knowledge than theory would be better. Scholarships are provided. Events and fests are held here.

Review of KMCT College of Engineering.
Placements: I joined this college by hearing that there are good placements. Every year top companies visit and offer jobs to brilliant students. After joining, they told me that they had to close placements due to some reason. Now placements have started again, and I hope to get placement in a good company after completing the course.
Infrastructure: The only thing I like about our college is free Wi-Fi. As like most of the colleges, our college also gives free Wi-Fi to everyone. Students have to log into the network with their number. I don't know much about the college hostel because I am a day scholar.
Faculty: Teaching faculty members here are good, and they try their level best to teach us what they have learned. Most of them are not qualified for this job because they lack in teaching ability. They are just telling what is in the textbook, and they don't make sure that we understand it.
Other: I have chosen automobile engineering due to my passion for cars.

The college provides really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: There is a placement cell in the college, and it is useful to us. Placements are conducted in college with a number of companies. A number of our senior batch students got placed from this college. Companies like CTS visited the campus to hire freshers. Lots of employability sessions are also conducted here.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on the campus. Labs and classrooms are in good condition. The library contains a lot of academic and non-academic books. The quality of food served in the canteen is better. There was no infrastructure related issues during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: All teachers in the college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is good. They help students in all ways to improve their academic performances. The course curriculum was very much helpful to most of the students in this college.
Other: The college surrounding is the best. Karma the branded tech fest is a contribution of KMCT College of Engineering.
