KEAM 2026 is an objective type exam with Multiple Choice Questions based on a single response. KEAM 2026 will be held in computer-based test mode and there will be one paper with three sections (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) for BTech candidates and two (Physics, Chemistry) for BPharm candidates. Engineering exam will consist of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75, Physics having 45 and Chemistry having 30. Candidates will have 180 minutes to complete the exam. For candidates appearing for KEAM 2026 BPharm ONLY, entrance exam will have 45 questions in Physics and 30 in Chemistry, to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer will fetch candidates 4 marks, and wrong answer will lead to -1 marking.

The KEAM 2026 engineering paper will have a total of 150 questions. Mathematics will have 75 questions, Physics will have 45 questions, and Chemistry will have 30 questions to be answered in 180 minutes. For KEAM 2026 BPharm ONLY candidates, the Entrance Examination will have a total of 75 questions; 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry to be answered in 90 minutes.

The type of questions asked in KEAM are MCQs - Multiple Choice Questions. Questions are of plus 2 level and are from the KEAM syllabus prescribed by the CEE.

Unit 3: Geometry, Cartesian System of Rectangular Co-ordinates, Lines and Family of lines, Circles and Family of circles, Conic Sections Vectors, Three Dimensional Geometry Unit 4: Statistics and Probability Mean deviation for ungrouped data, variance for grouped an ungrouped data, standard deviation. Random experiments and sample space, Events as subset of a sample space, occurrence of an event, sure and impossible events, Exhaustive events, Algebra of events, Meaning of equality likely outcomes, mutually exclusive events. Probability of an event; Theorems on Probability Addition rule, Multiplication rule, Independent experiments and events. Finding P (A or BPA and B), random variables, Probability distribution of a random variable. Yes, one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. For every correct response in KEAM candidates will be awarded four marks and for each wrong response, one mark will be deducted from the candidates' total score. The pattern of the exam states that the KEAM question papers will comprise objective type questions (MCQ). For each question asked, five answers will be suggested but, only one of them will be correct. All the questions asked will be from KEAM syllabus listed for Physics Chemistry Mathematics / Biology. Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer. 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. 4 marks will be awarded to candidates for marking every accurate answer. No marks will be deducted for not attempting a question. In case a candidate has marked two answers for a single question in the OMR sheet, negative marking will be applicable regardless of either of the answers being right or wrong.
