I am highly satisfied with the college.
Placements: About 70% of the students got placed in different companies and NGOs from our department. The highest salary package offered was about 5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was about 3-2 LPA for freshers. Top recruiting companies are mostly MNCs and other NGOs. Roles offered are mostly counsellors in NGOs and HR in MNCs.
Infrastructure: We have a well-equipped digital and manual library, and there are ventilated classrooms which make a peaceful environment for students to listen to the lectures. We also have 24x7 Wi-Fi facilities, which is helpful for the welfare of the students. Quality of food served in the hostel mess and canteen is hygienic, and canteen provides hygienic and affordable food for all the students from different economic backgrounds.
Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and supportive of every student. They make sure, and they guide the students in a proper way which is helpful for students' future. The course curriculum is relevant, which makes students confident enough to face reality after studies. They make sure that students attain all the criteria to attain their goals.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in studying the social structure and behavioural pattern of society and how to give solutions to social problems. I would recommend improving the quality of the placement companies, especially for our department. They have a good scholarship scheme for students, which helps them in many ways. They make sure that student's talents are showcased in various inter and intra-college cultural events and make them recognised.

Loyola college makes students to become a better member of the society.
Placements: Since, Loyola is a top college in India, all the big companies will start to recruit students from the very starting of the academic year onwards. Only a student should qualify the specification provided by the company. Almost, all the departments have campus placements and department wise placements are also available. For MA in sociology, we can join for college placements at whole and also, sit for department wise placements referred by the department alone. Already two students from the current batch has been placed in a top company. So, the college shows 100% placements.
Infrastructure: There are separate arts, commerce, science, chemistry, life sciences, MSW, MCA and Viscom buildings with dedicated persons employed for better infra facilities. The college has a student friendly approach with traditional buildings showing up the way. All the classrooms and departments are fitted with smart classroom facilities and 24*7 Wi-Fi facility. Digital library which has more than 50 computers is installed with internet facility and an e-book facility. Loyola College’s central library has more than 10 lakhs books and placed scientifically. Labs are also available with good condition and have achieved SIRO status. More than 5 canteens are available with rates from down to up. Hostel facility for boys and girls provide a homely atmosphere to the students.
Faculty: The faculty and teaching standards in Loyola is the best in the south and top in India level. Course curriculum is structured and revised regularly according to the trend and structure of the lifestyle. All the faculty members are easy to approach and are student friendly.
Other: The college has a department called Service Learning, which offers students to know the reality of the poor people around the Chennai slums. There are more than 25 clubs dedicated for students to involve in activities which make them efficient for the outside world.

I am extremely satisfied with the faculty and the knowledge that the college provides.
Placements: There are placement cells in the campus and a lot of students apply for it. I wouldn't say that they don't get placements but a very few, qualified and skilled students get the opportunity. Compulsory internship is asked for final year students and the college also provides with such opportunities.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is provided for all the students within the campus. Classrooms have projectors and white screen along with blackboard facilities. Classrooms are huge enough to ensure that all the students are comfortable enough while gaining knowledge. There is central library with several books as well as digital library. Canteen facility is also provided for students including various cuisines as the college has students with diverse cultures from different parts of the world.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent in their job and are very helpful. They are always ready to give as well as gain knowledge. They make the topic very interesting and students are not only given theoretical knowledge but practical knowledge as well. Teacher are well qualified, almost all the teachers hold Ph.D. degree or atleast have cleared NET examination.
