The reality of a government college.
Placements: There are 55 students in our class. The average salary package offered in our course is 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, etc. Approximately 85-90% of students got internships in companies like UAS International, etc. Bank jobs and corporate roles are offered.
Infrastructure: As Maharaja Surajmal Institute is a semi-government college, students must not keep their hopes high for the infrastructure and facilities compared to that of a private college. There is only one playground for sports. Only one auditorium is available in the college.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. All are Ph.D. holders. They are very knowledgeable. Their teaching skills are good and students understand topics very well. The course is relevant for students. Our college exams are not very difficult. The pass percentage is nearly about 40%.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute, Janakpuri.
Placements: Currently, the highest for my course was around 8 LPA. The average goes up to 4 to 5 LPA. The placement cell at the college is a very active one, providing internships and all the help a fresher could need. The college supports the placement cell really well.
Infrastructure: The campus is spread across 8 to 9 acres with a big ground. The classrooms are like school rooms with wooden desks. They have AC, but it's not necessary that they work. The labs are old. Wi-Fi is good, the canteen seems okay, it's cheap, and edible. The college offers a lot of sports to choose from.
Faculty: The teachers and staff are well-trained in their respective subjects. They teach with enthusiasm and take teaching very seriously, like school teachers. The curriculum seems relevant and might make the students industry-ready. The college has a good pass percentage.

Brief about Maharaja Surajmal institute.
Placements: I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree, which is a Bachelor in Business Administration (Banking and Insurance) from Maharaja Surajmal Institute. About 50–60% of students get placed every year from our college campus. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Infosys, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not that good in comparison to the fee structure of the college. I am not a hosteler so I can't state anything about hostel at this point . Extracurricular activities are great in the college as we conduct many intercollegiate college competition
Faculty: The faculty of the college is highly professional. They will not only teach you but also mentor you throughout your college journey. They help you in placements and extracurricular activities like hackathons, etc. Semester examinations are not tough at the college at all.

Canteen food is not eatable, restrictions for roaming around in college and poor faculty structure.
Placements: Speaking from personal experience, there aren't any placements except for those in sales. That too, the average package is 3.5 LPA; the faculty is not supportive of you doing internships in your 1st or 2nd year. But overall, there are a few good teachers from the 4th semester onward who encourage you.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure ain't great—just red brick and broken ceilings. A/C is not in every class, just a few.. The hostel is smelly, the mess food is good, but the overall canteen is not good, and they don't let you roam in college. There's a timing restriction after classes.
Faculty: The faculty is not supportive of you doing internships in your first or second year. But overall, there are a few good teachers from the 4th semester onward who encourage you. Faculty like Sumita MA'am and Aarti MA'am are the ones who go a long way in promoting students in their careers.

Really good college, decent placements and infrastructure, good location and crowd.
Placements: There are decent placements, honestly. This year, there were a lot of top companies like ZS Associate, S&P Global, Wells Fargo, etc. In college placements with decent packages of up to INR 8–10 LPA. But most of the other companies are not so great. The placement cell offers jobs mostly related to sales, which have little or no growth in the future.
Infrastructure: College has good infrastructure and a big campus, giving you a proper college feel. College life is just like at DU. It has a huge ground, hostels, a park, a bank, a canteen, and around 5–6 college buildings. Nearby locations are also good, with plenty of places to visit and a hill with a good crowd, unlike the rest of IPU. The library is also up-to-date with the latest teaching materials, books, research papers, computers, and Wi-Fi.
Faculty: The faculty is really experienced. Most of the professors are top-level Ph.D. holders. The level of education is really nice. Teachers are helpful too. Internal exams are pretty lengthy, but so are most of the IPU exams. The updated BBA curriculum is really aligned with NEP.
Other: The crowd at the college is pretty good, unlike the rest of IPU. The nearby places are decent too. Connectivity is great. It has around three nearby metro stations, all within walking distance. It has great markets, malls, and food places nearby within walking distance. The college provides you with a typical college life that any young person would love to experience. Rules are not so strict; there are plenty of competitions and societies to socialize with as well.
