Reality of Maharaja Surajmal Institute-BBA

Placements: There is a dedicated placement cell in our college that helps students secure placements and internships. The major roles offered in the BBA program are marketing, finance, and data analysis. Major companies that come to recruit students include Amazon, Deloitte, Reliance, etc. The average and highest package in my course last year was 4.5 LPA and 7.5 LPA, respectively. Mostly 80-90% of students get placed in our college, but you have to work hard on your skills to secure a good package.

Infrastructure: There is a lot of greenery in the college, but the infrastructure is very poor. There is no AC in most classrooms, or it is not working even if it is available. The benches are also in very bad condition. There is only one library in the college, which is also very unhygienic. While there is one badminton court and a big playground, you have to bring your own sports equipment to play; the college does not provide it. Additionally, there are rarely any sports tournaments or competitions held in the college.

Faculty: The faculty members are very experienced and supportive. They regularly consult with you about various courses and encourage participation in societies and cultural activities. The course curriculum is quite good; it not only focuses on studies and exams but also includes seminars, alumni lectures, and industrial visits throughout the semester. Students also have to give individual and group presentations, which prepare them for the corporate world. The semester exams are not very difficult, and you can easily score more than 80% by studying just before the exams.

The college crowd is good with no fights and no elections.

Placements: To get admission, you have to give IPUCET or CUET. The rank in our course is about 1000 to 1500. The highest package is 80 lakh, the lowest is 2 lakh, and the average is 4 lakh. The top companies are Deloitte, Jio, Amazon, and DE Shaw. About 5 to 6 CGPA are required, and the companies include Jio and Amazon for HR Manager roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not nice, but for 5000 per month, it is average for a hostel. Facilities include Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms. Good facilities are provided in the hostel, such as mess, sports, and games. The canteen is good, but the mess is average. Although the college infrastructure is decent, it lacks hostel facilities.

Faculty: Yes, the faculty is excellent, helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is good. The teachers do not only provide bookish knowledge but also corporate-level knowledge and train us to be ready for interviews and practical work. No, it is not as hard compared to DU.

Maharaja Surajmal Institute is value for money.

Placements: Almost everybody in the BBA course were placed. The highest placement in 2024 is Rs. 7,50,000. The average package in 2024 is Rs. 3,50,000. Recruiting companies include Federal Bank, Upgrade, etc. Students who got the internship from Bachelors in Business Administration are less likely to get it, as college doesn't help.

Infrastructure: The quality of infrastructure is very poor in Maharaja Surajmal Institute. The library and labs are good but the classrooms don't have ACs. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. Don't join this college if you want to excel in sports. Hostel quality is very poor too. You won't find ACs in rooms. Moreover, there are Indian toilets, which are outdated.

Faculty: Few teachers are seriously irritating and focus more on attendance than the quality of their teaching. A BBA course, in my opinion, doesn't make you job-ready but gives a basic outline of the job role and responsibilities. Students can easily pass the examinations at GGSIPU University.

Other: Events and fests are pathetic.

Supportive placement cell, mixed faculty experience and mediocre infrastructure.

Placements: The placement cell at Maharaja Surajmal Institute is doing a good job of securing opportunities for students. The team works diligently to connect students with top companies like Zomato, Mercer, the Federal Bank, Godrej, etc. Ensuring a variety of roles among different sectors. Their efforts in organizing workshops, training sessions and mock interviews greatly enhance the employability of the students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not so good. There is room for improvement in its infrastructure. The facilities, though functional, often fall short of modern standards. The air conditioning doesn't work properly, and some floors don't even have air conditioning, and the electrical output is also very low. Students face regular electric shutdowns. Lifts also don't work in the summer.

Faculty: The faculty is supportive, approachable and genuinely invested in the student's academic growth and success. However, there are some faculty members whose biased and unsupportive attitude can be disheartening. While there are certainly outstanding educators here, addressing the issue of supportive faculty at the top level would significantly enhance the academic environment.

Mixed college experience at a top rated college of GGSIPU.

Placements: There has been 100% placement, with the highest package being 12 LPA, the lowest 2.5 LPA, and the average 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies include Accenture, Zomato, Amazon, Deloitte, etc. A great number of students get internships from my course in similar companies for roles ranging from sales to business analyst.

Infrastructure: While Maharaja Surajmal Institute excels in education, it has a significant need for development in its infrastructure. The facilities are just enough to cover necessities but woefully lack in comparison to the modern standards set by other institutions.

Faculty: The faculty at Maharaja Surajmal Institute presents a mixed experience. While some professors are dedicated and supportive, making the learning process engaging, others are less supportive, which proves to be very disheartening.
