Good infrastructure and wonderful teachers, could have much better placements and pass rates.
Placements: There are not much placements offered specifically for our specialisation which is English. But there are few general placements for telecallers and customer associate jobs. But compared to the other subjects, we have low placement rates. In other departments, there are much good placements including top recruiters.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure at our college including Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library. We have smart classes that can provide you with advanced learning using projectors. The facilities provided at our college hostel are fine with good food and hygiene.
Faculty: Faculty members are very much helpful. They are really friendly and they provide you with good education and impart wisdom. All the classes are interactive rather than just mere lectures. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are difficult and require a strong academic background and learning. The pass percentage is average.
Other: I chose this course because I like the subject very much. We have a really good course outcome. I wish the syllabus could be much more lighter than the hectic schedule we have now. Exams are also conducted in a less pressurized manner. But we do have various programs and events conducted by our college, including various fests and sports activities.

Review of Mar Ivanios College (Thiruvananthapuram).
Placements: The college has its own career placement cell, which updates the students on various career pathways and upcoming job opportunities, yet mostly, it is available for the final year UG and PG students. Guidance is partially given. They would update these guidelines in WhatsApp groups or mail.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good with numerous facilities. Wi-Fi is available with password protection. Hostel facilities are available separately for boys and girls. The fee is slightly manageable. They have an anti-ragging policy in hostels, and strict discipline is followed.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, yet most works would be done by students themselves. Most teachers are highly qualified. Semester exams are held on time. The course curriculum is presented on the college website, and sometimes, accessibility issues do arise. The pass percentage for most subjects is 33% out of 100, but exams are conducted based on 80 marks, and students should score at least 28 out of 80 to pass, and they follow the CBCS system.
Other: Campus life is good. A variety of programs are held here. Strong NCC and NSS clubs are present. The college has good connectivity with the university. It has a strong student political party. It has its own cultural program called Ivano Fest.

Great college! Highly recommendable.
Placements: As an arts and Science college, Ivanios has always aimed at providing a lot more than education. A lot of us have received placements at various top universities all over the country for PG courses soon after the completion of UG programme. The college equips us to face the outside life so well.
Infrastructure: We are equipped with large spacious classrooms, a huge library that has won many accolades and have sufficient labs for various practicals. The college also Houses a Zoology museum/exhibition site. Hostel accommodation and food is of average quality various paying guest options are available nearby and the college area is ample with restaurants and other essential stores.
Faculty: The teachers at mar ivanios are what truly make it the best college. We have a great array of brilliant and extra ordinary teachers who guide us as our parents would. The curriculum is relevant and students are will automatically develop an interest in the subject. Exam’s difficulty range from easy to medium and for those who study well the curriculum is easily doable.
Other: I chose B.A. literature due to my Love for the language and coming to Ivanios was the best decision. Our college has the best possible ambiance and are known for winning the Kerala university trophy both in sports and arts. The Ivanofest is popular all over Kerala.

It is a great college to study at if you want a good campus experience.
Placements: To get a placement after completing your B.A. English is very rare. Most of the students, after pursuing this B.A., go on to do an M.A. in any of their respective fields or opt for any other courses for them to pursue. Our college still had a placement cell which gave many students jobs in many fields like banking, communication jobs, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college has an excellent campus for students to study. It has the feel of a college campus, and the classrooms are always neat and tidy. There is also a huge auditorium to host different types of functions. The college is basically known for its continuous events happening in the college, be it in any programme, sports, arts, etc. Our college has a name for glory in every event.
Faculty: The best thing about our college is the behaviour of the teaching and technical staff. They are too polite with students. Even though it is an autonomous college, it still follows the curriculum according to the Kerala University guidelines, so every student will have a profound knowledge of what they pursued after finishing the courses. Our college has a great pass percentage, they mainly choose those kinds of individuals in the admission process, which will make the name and glory of the college grow more.
Other: I wanted to do a B.A. in English, and the best-known college for doing a B.A. in English is our college itself. It is one of the leading colleges in Kerala. It is a special feeling to study in Ivanios, and telling others that you are an Ivanion is a very prestigious thing among all.

If students want to build up their talent and inner thoughts do go for this college.
Placements: Around 99% of students were passed out from our college. I did not ever expect our course would be completed within 2 lakhs around there were about 22 companies came for recruiting through interviews and all. Almost 99% of students got their placements. Everyone went for internships in Infosys and other companies also. Even popular banks like Federal Bank and all were also there for providing the best and right ones. In our course, students were able to find the best for many extracurricular activities and some of them has turned into an artist.
Infrastructure: All facilities were available and I can guarantee the best infrastructure ever provided. The medical facility and our canteen were the best, they provided different dishes of various tastes. The sports department was the best because that's the place where many students build up their future and many of them had been into nationals and got recruited to the Indian army and that's the best helping thing.
Faculty: Every teacher had a Ph.D. in their favorite subjects and they were inspiring ones. They shared their life experiences and had been our best friends also. This course has its specialty and yet it was not like another course it builds the humanity in students, and even helps to teach students what was life about. The semester exams were a kind of nightmare sometimes. But the best teaching skills of our professors had led to bringing the best out of students during the exams. The pass percentage of the semester was 40-50%.
Other: Our course had bought the best out of me in the most elegant way. It helped me learn more about the world and humanity. Even my perspective on each topic got changed and helped me to build good speaking skills also. Sometimes our course could add some more subjects for the upcoming generations to learn more about humanity and become more generous in their thoughts.

Most beautiful phase of my life .
Placements: The placement and job opportunities are based on our marks obtained in the University Exams. If you are graduated from Mar Ivanios, their is a high chance that you will get placement in a reputable place with a good salary. The college also provides internship and all other activities which will help the students.
Infrastructure: Various big events are conducted every year alot of them are sports events also but the biggest one is annual sports. Many cultural events are also held throughout the year and you can arrange one also. The infrastructure is old and classy and also gives a very elegant feel. I didn't opt for a hostel as my home isn't very far away from the university and also there are many who need it more than me, but I have been to the hostels and many of my friends live in hostels gave a very positive feedback on the hostels.
Faculty: Almost all the faculty members are really nice, friendly and helpful, their teachings are also good and you get full support of the faculty members in all aspects including the placements and future planning. The Course Curriculum is exactly the same as prescribed by The University of Kerala. The duration of the Bachelors course in literature programme is three years. In a year according to the curriculum, there will be two semesters in a year. First semester is 6 months. And after the end of the 4th month, there will be an Internal exam. The question paper of the exam is prepared by our own teachers. Internal marks for a subject is 20 of which 5 is for attendance, 5 for assignments, 10 for internal exam. The final semester exam will be for 80 marks.

A positive approach altogether.
Placements: Yes college is very supportive and they even take initial stages for placement. The placement process is very easy and pleasant for me. In our college placement record is good. And most students through career guidance are placed. And the highest salary packages.
Infrastructure: Yes, we have all the necessary equipment facilities and infrastructure. We do have a projector in our college so that we can learn things visually. We have well furnished furniture also the canteen food is awesome. We have Good infrastructure and Library. No Wi-Fi though.
Faculty: On contract teachers are not dedicated enough. The quality of the teaching is Excellent. The lecturers always give their best to the students in every aspect. Teachers are friendly and helpful. Syllabus is well designed and their will be the schedule which is always been updated according to the recent developments in the field.
Other: Good atmosphere throughout the campus!

Review of Mar Ivanios College (Thiruvananthapuram).
Placements: I haven't got a chance to take part in placements. There are less recruitment from the college as there are very fewer students who take a job later on after degree. But the companies that offered placements are good. The college had a good recruitment team back in the days before being autonomous.
Infrastructure: The college has a beautiful library and memorable infrastructure which adds to its rusty touch as Ivanios is one of the oldest colleges in Kerala. There are labs and classrooms available. The hostel I stayed in was Bethany, which had good rooms as the building is new and the washrooms were good compared to the other hostels. The food served was improved since the time I moved out of the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good, and some teachers were good as they had a lot of experience to how to teach the subjects beautifully. The course curriculum is relevant. Teachers train students with higher study material.
Other: I opted for this course because I like to study English and Literature and so I took this course. I wish I could have got some trips or outside approaches to have a better atmosphere for learning. The college is filled up with events, fests and a beautiful campus. The campus life is something all Ivanios students keeps in his/her memory. The college offers a course called the BEC by Cambridge, which can be useful for higher career options.
