Number 2 aided college in Malappuram .

Placements: Mar Thoma College is an aided college located near Nilambur town. College does not provide any placement opportunities, but they provide assistance as much as possible. The Institution is managed by the Mar Thoma Sabha. In our batch, no one has been placed yet, but more than half of the students are pursuing their Master's degrees.

Infrastructure: College does not have a men's hostel, but it has a decent ladies' hostel. Infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Since I pursued a Bachelor's in Physics, our department has qualified faculty members who completed their doctorates from national-level institutions like IUCA, etc. Faculty members at Mar Thoma College are qualified and supportive. They help us with our personal problems as well.

Other: I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Physics at Kannur University. My batchmates are also pursuing their Master's degrees. Some pursuing Bachelor's degrees in Education for teaching certification. Most of them are pursuing Master's at reputed colleges and universities. College also promotes sports and games activities like korfball, drop ball, etc. College has two NSS units working alongside a vision of social enlightenment.

Overall, Mar Thoma College, Chungathara, is great.

Placements: This college does not conduct any placement programs, except for some classes on future planning and guidance. It may be because a large part of our college time was submerged in the Kerala floods and Covid-19, yet they have conducted some programs online. Our college is very bad in terms of placements. But they were helpful in terms of higher studies and helped students prepare for entrance exams for higher institutions.

Infrastructure: Mar Thoma College, Chungathara, doesn't have a men's hostel yet. But it has a very good women's hostel. Labs are also very good in terms of infrastructure. All instruments were calibrated and working fine. The library is of international standards. It has a two-storyed air-conditioned library with books and journals on almost every subject offered by the college and even more. There is a separate section for competitive exams like UPSC, PSC, SSC etc. Apart from that, each department has its own library for reference. The canteen is good, clean and serves tasty food at very low prices. Medical facilities are good as there is a full-time nurse in college. For more medical support, they have a hospital owned by the same management just next door. The college is also very good for sports, as they conduct various competitions multiple times in an academic year. There is a very large football ground, volleyball court, badminton court, practice nets, etc., along with a large collection of balls, bats etc. We were allowed to play after our classes using these facilities.

Faculty: The faculty members are very well-qualified and helpful in education matters and also emotionally supportive of those who are in need. Most of the professors were philosophy doctors. Students were given additional resources, more than the syllabus regarding the subjects. Students are prepared for PG entrance exams like JAM, CUET etc. The syllabus is vast, and exams are difficult. A majority of students from our college pass the exams only with the help of our faculty members.

Other: Being a government-aided college, the fee of this college is very low. For eligible students, the semester fee is as low as 75.
