It is a historical college with historical departments.

Placements: I am a final year graduate student in B.A. Economics. Our department is known for its academic excellence throughout the university. About 45% of students got allotted in this course of the academic year 2019-2022. As the college is aided by the government, no fees or comparatively less fess is charged for several courses and exams. Courses are cheap but the quality of education is at international level. As there was a job hunt held at the college during the year 2022 backed up by the government, there were several private companies which offered part and full time jobs to aspirants. Leading tech companies and management companies approached aspirants via this programme. About 15% of students were able to tackle down these internships.

Infrastructure: We have large classrooms as the course that I attend has a large number of students. We also have a huge historical library for references and reading. The course also delivers research help from professionals and resources regarding it. There is a hostel only for girls students which is in two buildings. As per their say, the food is good and the accommodation is fine. As the college is located in a prime city, there are 2 hospitals around the college within a radius of 3 km. The college and the departments promote sports and games. The college officially has a football team, cricket team, hockey team, kabaddi team, and tug of war team. This is not limited to any one gender. The college also supports several artists and all forms of art groups.

Faculty: The teachers at our college are trained and eligible professionals. They are ready and prepared to help students with their best. They care for their students. The course will be relevant with a post graduation. This course also can help with managerial position jobs. The exams are tough to crack as the course is theoretical based. The pass percentage is 70%.

Other: I chose this course B.A. in Economics because I came to know that people who specialised in this course are comparatively less and there is a vast range of opportunities for this course. The course is lively and present as we are dealing with the day-to-day economy, so Statistics based on it should be accurate. There are many events that take place yearly by the department. As of 2022, the department celebrated its 25th annual lecture series. The college offers many scholarships. There are also college fests and department-oriented fests held yearly.
