BA | M.A. (Administration) are a unique UG-PG degree program offered at MIT School of Indian Civil Services. It improves the confidence level of the student to overcome the challenges of competitive exams. The normal BA | M.A. program provides expertise in one core subject only, but the BA | M.A. Administration program would provide exposure to students to a variety of social science subjects, like History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Sociology, Public Administration etc.
The course is being delivered at MITSICS by adopting the new methodology of teaching and the students are exposed to the participative mode of learning which includes interaction with eminent bureaucrats, pioneers in social sciences, social activists, media persons, legal practitioners, no of field assignments, projects etc.

MIT School of Indian Civil Services admission is a multi-step process inclusive of application, appearance in the selection rounds and counselling process. A step-by-step MIT School of Indian Civil Services admission process is as follows:

Step 1: The application process for MIT School of Indian Civil Services is conducted online mode for all its UG & PG courses. Candidates must visit the university's official website to apply for their desired course. Along with that, they also have to pay an application fee and submit the relevant documents such as Class 10 & 12 mark sheets, passport-size photographs, etc.

Step 2: MIT School of Indian Civil Services admissions are entirely entrance-based for all courses. The university accepts a valid score of entrance exam conducted for BA & MA programme admission specifically. The candidates are shortlisted based on the following parameters:

  • A receipt is generated upon completion of the admission form and payment. Shortlisted candidates receive invitations for an interview examination, and selection is based on 12th-grade marks for BA and final year graduation marks for MA and interview performance.
  • The interviews are conducted by the faculty and the admission is confirmed with your average score of 12th-grade marks for BA and final year graduation marks for MA and the interview marks.
  • Successful candidates receive an Admission Offer Letter via email. Subsequently, they must pay academic fees and upload required documents. The final step involves document verification, where original documents must be presented for confirmation of admission. Failure to adhere to document submission timelines may result in admission cancellation, with fee refunds following MIT ADT University's policy
  • Overall, candidates are advised to carefully follow the process to ensure a smooth admission experience in accordance with university regulations.

The eligibility criteria for MA- Administartion course at MITSICS has been discussed below: 

  • Student must be graduate from any recognised/ statutory univeristy or instituite with minimum 50% marks for the general category. Students get 5% relaxation in case of backward class categories and a person with disability belonging to Maharashtra state candidates only.
  • For Foreign students the Maharashtra State Government rules will be applicable.
  • A candidate who has completed a qualifying degree from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and need to be verified from AIU by the candidate before seeking admission for the programme.

MIT School of Indian Civil Services offers BA and MA programmes for four and three years respectively. The School has one more additional year as compared to other schools because here students get to do an internship of one year at the end of the programme. MITSICS studying in batch AY 2023-24 has not appeared for exams yet. Apart from this MIT has started the guidance centre for UPSC before establishing the School. Several students of MIT qualified for UPSC. Some of them are Shri Varun Kumar Baranwal (IAS), Rohan Botre (IPS), Madhuri Garud (IRS).
