B.Sc. in Nursing - Batch of 2028

It has hands-on nursing training with supportive faculty and modern facilities.
Placements: Placement opportunities are average in our batch. Around 50-60% of students got placed in hospitals and healthcare centres. The highest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month, and the lowest salary is Rs. 12,000 per month. The average salary ranges between Rs. 15,000-18,000 per month. Many students got internships in both government and private hospitals, such as Civil Hospital and Multispeciality Hospital. The top roles offered are staff nurse, ICU nurse, and ward nurse.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean and well-maintained, with well-equipped nursing labs, anatomy labs, and computer labs for practical sessions. The library has a good collection of nursing and medical books. Wi-Fi is available for students. The hostel environment is safe and hygienic. The mess provides healthy and hygienic food. Additional facilities like medical services, sports ground, and a common room are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced and supportive, focusing on both theory and practical training. The course curriculum covers all essential nursing subjects, including community health, pediatrics, medical-surgical nursing, and midwifery. The examination structure is balanced, with equal importance given to theory and practical. Clinical postings provide good hands-on exposure in the real hospital setting.
Other: I chose a B.Sc. in Nursing because of my passion for healthcare and serving people. The course offers a great balance of theory and practical exposure. We get clinical postings at Civil Hospital Visnagar, Civil Hospital Vadnagar, and also in our own college hospital at Kheralu, which provides excellent hands-on experience. The campus crowd is friendly. Events, fests, and extracurricular activities are organised regularly. Connectivity to the campus is convenient, and scholarships are available for eligible students. I wish the placement opportunities could be improved with collaborations with more reputed hospitals to ensure better salary packages.
