The minimum qualification is a 10+2 diploma.
The institute offers both full-time and part-time Diploma programs in four specializations. Following the NAME aptitude test, all Diploma programs—aside from acting for screen and stage specialization—require a personal interview.
The only requirement for those interested in the Acting for Screen and Stage specialisation is to attend the interview stage. Programs for diplomas can run from six months to a year. If a candidate has finished their Class 12, they may apply for Diploma courses.
The fee for Diploma courses at the National Academy of Media and Events, Kolkata ranges between INR 65,000 to INR 1.2 Lacs (120000). The Academy offers three UG level Diploma courses namely the Professional Diploma in Event Design and Management, Professional Diploma in branding and marketing and Diploma in commercial photography. It also offers 6 certificate courses. The fee structure of the academy has multiple components like tution fee, caution deposit, hostel and mess charges, etc. Some of these components are one-time payments at the time of admission and others are paid semester-wise. These fees are subject to change and the caution deposit will be refunded at the time of completion of the degree.
