Infrastructure/Facilities

  • Library

    National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Aizawl library has a collection of more than 8000 volumes of essential books on electronics and computers, communication in English, etc., for the benefits of both the students and the faculty. Along with this collection, 22 numbers of related journals and magazines are subscribed regularly along with 8 numbers of national and local newspapers. The library is computerized using software developed in-house. The Centre subscribes Online IEEE Xplore Digital Library for free access for the students and faculties.

  • Hostel

    National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology, Aizawl has accommodation facility for boys and girls separately.Both the hostels have facilities like kitchen, dining hall, recreation room, computer room, library, store rooms and one lift in each building. Both the hostels have barrier free access for disabled persons. Electricity is available in both the hostels around the clock. Every room in the hostels has been provided the bed with mattress, study tables, chairs, steel almirahs etc.

According to the prospectus, MCA (Master of Computer Applications) at NIELIT is a 3 year course (i.e. six semesters) leading to a MCA degree. Minimum working days in each semester would be 90 days or as per Mizoram University/AICTE norms. Maximum duration is 5 years.
