Also known as NIPER SAS Nagar or NIPER Mohali, it is a public pharmaceutical research institute established in 2007. In 2019, the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked NIPER SAS Nagar 3rd in pharmaceutical studies. To get admission into the NIPER SAS Nagar, students must fulfil the admission criteria and go through a multi-step admission process. NIPER Mohali offers various PG-level and PhD courses in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. The PG-level courses include MS (Pharm), MPharm, M.Tech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm). In all these courses, NIPER reserves seats for various categories as per the prevailing rules of the Government of India. These categories include SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, etc.
Additioanlly, some supernumerary seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the following categories:
- 5% of the seats (over and above the total intake) are reserved for candidates sponsored by the Government Departments/ Research and Development Organisations / Public Sector Undertakings/ Reputed Private Pharmaceutical Enterprises
- 5% of the seats (over and above the total intake) are reserved for Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO categories
- 3% of the seats (over and above the total intake) are reserved for the PwBD category
In order to take MS admission at NIPER Mohali, candidates are required to appear for the NIPER JEE conducted by NIPER Guwahati. The entrance exam schedule for 2025 is yet to be released. However, based on the previous years' trends, the application process for NIPER JEE starts around the last week of April. It is expected to continue till May. The exam will be held in June (tentative).
The NIPER will release the admit card/hall ticket soon after the registration process is over. The NIPER JEE 2026 admit card will tentatively be released in online mode at the official website in June 2026 as per previous year records. The authorities will release the admit card in official website of exam conducting NIPER's only.
