NIPER JEE counselling process 2023 will be conducted by one of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) institutes among the seven campuses on rolling basis. Last year, NIPER Hyderabad, was the official exam conducting body. NIPER JEE exam was conducted in online mode at 18 test centers across India and candidates were allowed to apply for the exam only through the official website NIPER application process is being organised entirely online. Candidates must note that NIPER will only accept online applications for the exam. The application process for NIPER JEE 2023 comprises steps such as registration, filling details in the application form, uploading photograph and signatures, and paying the registration fee. Candidates have to register on the official website only to access and submit the application form for NIPER JEE 2023.

About NIPER JEE 2023

NIPER JEE 2023, or the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Exam, is a computer-based exam for postgraduate courses in MPharm, MTech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm) PhD in pharmacy. NIPER itself is the conducting body for the exam. The exam duration is 2 hours and is conducted in the English medium. NIPER exam pattern comprises 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer is awarded one mark, and there’s a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer. NIPER institutions will offer around 820 seats across all its branches, NIPER (Mohali), NIPER Raebareli, NIPER Kolkata, NIPER Ahmedabad, NIPER Hajipur, NIPER Guwahati. Till 2019, NIPER used to offer around 650 seats across all its programmes. Candidates must choose from the various exam centres carefully and follow their convenience because there is no scope for changing the centre later.

Who is Eligible for NIPER JEE Exam?

Candidates must carefully read the eligibility requirements before filling out the application form. Only those who meet the eligibility requirements will be considered eligible for admission to NIPER institutions' masters and doctoral programmes. Below are the basic competencies which make a candidate eligible:

  • The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent programme or Master’s degree in the corresponding programme according to the course they seek to apply for.
  • The candidate should have secured 60 per cent or 6.75 GPA (55 per cent or 6.25 CGPA for SC /ST candidates and 50 per cent or 5.75 GPA for PH candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
  • NIPER exam candidates should also have a valid GATE/NET or GPAT score

NIPER 2023 Exam Pattern

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Examination pattern comprises vital information such as the mode of examination, the language in which the exam is conducted, etc. The exam is a two-hour computer-based examination comprising 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct response will be awarded one mark, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect response. All the MCQs will be asked in the English language only.

Candidates have to answer the questions from BPharma and MSc levels. Also, there will be a few questions on general aptitude that can be found as well.

NIPER JEE 2023 Admission Process

The NIPER exam admission process involves the whole procedure to secure a seat via any of the entrance examinations. The process involves filling in application forms to attend the counselling and submitting the admission fee. Below are the brief steps of the admission process:

  • Registration/Application form filling: Candidates have to provide their personal details academic details, upload their recent passport size photograph and the scanned image of their signature, and submit the application fee to conclude the process.
  • Download the Admit Card: The conducting body will release the admit card at least ten or seven days before the entrance exam, and candidates have to download and take a printout of the admit card.
  • Appear for the entrance exam: The candidates must appear for the entrance exam by reporting to the allotted centre at the prescribed time and date. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without producing a hard copy of the admit card.
  • Attend the counselling: Candidates have to attend the counselling before a personal interview. According to the choice of selected college, candidates will be allotted seats as per their merit.
  • Fee submission and attending classes: After the seats are allotted, candidates have to submit the admission fee and the tuition fee at the allotted institutes and attend the classes on the prescribed dates.

How to Fill NIPER JEE Exam Application Form?

NIPER will soon start accepting the NIPER JEE 2023 application form in online mode. Candidates can apply by following the steps listed below:

  • Visit the official website of NIPER,
  • Click on the registration link and create a new user ID and password
  • Candidates have to log in to their account by clicking the link sent on the registered mail ID post the registration process.
  • Candidates have to provide all the details in the application form, such as Name, Address, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Category, and Subject applied for.
  • After filling out the application form, candidates must pay the application fee.
  • The application fee is payable via Credit or Debit card, Net Banking or E-Challan
  • A confirmation page will appear after the payment is done, and candidates now have to submit and initiate a digital signature.
  • Candidates now have to upload their photo ID proof and Address proof, Tenth, and Twelfth Mark sheet, Reservation certificate (if applicable), Medical certificate (if applying under handicapped category), valid GATE, GPAT or NET Scorecard (if applicable), and Passport-sized Photograph along with the digital signature.
  • Candidates must take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.

NIPER Exam Centres

According to the conducting body, the centres are subject to adjustment if a sufficient number of registrations are not observed in a specific city. Furthermore, the conducting body would not have a travel allowance (TA) or a regular allowance (DA) if a candidate travels. Candidates are responsible for their own expenses, and NIPER takes no responsibility.

The NIPER exam syllabus is largely based on the qualifying exam curriculum. Questions from course layout, general pharmaceutical sciences, and general aptitude are all included in the NIPER exam syllabus. Below is the NIPER exam syllabus for the PhD and MPharm/MS programmes.

  • PhD courses: Questions will be of MS (Pharm.), MPharm, and MSc ( relevant discipline).

  • MPharm/MS courses: For admission to master's courses, BPharm and MSc (relevant discipline) questions will be asked.

  • Pharmacy science: Questions from general pharmaceutical sciences.

  • Aptitude: Questions from general aptitude.

NIPER JEE Counselling 2023

A: NIPER exam was conducted on June 12 for the previous batch of candidates who appeared in 2022. The postgraduate level pharma exam is conducted in online mode.

Q: How many seats are offered by the NIPER?

A: There are around 1,050 seats in all NIPER seven campuses this year.
