NIPER JEE 2023: Counselling (Round-2), Dates (Released), Cutoff, Syllabus, Result, Question Papers

NIPER JEE 2023, or the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Exam, is a computer-based exam for postgraduate courses in MPharm, MTech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm) PhD in pharmacy. NIPER institutes collectively organise the pharmacy entrance exam on a rotation basis. The exam duration is 2 hours and is conducted in English medium. The NIPER exam pattern comprises 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer is awarded one mark, and there’s a negative marking of 0.25 mark for every wrong answer. NIPER institutions will offer around 820 seats across all its branches, NIPER (Mohali), NIPER Raebareli, NIPER Kolkata, NIPER Ahmedabad, NIPER Hajipur, NIPER Guwahati. Till 2019, NIPER used to offer around 650 seats across all its programmes. Candidates must choose from the various exam centres carefully and follow their convenience because there is no scope for changing the centre later.

• Matriculation Certificate (proof of age and correct name)

• Mark sheets of all semesters/ years of the qualifying degree

• GPAT/ GATE/ NET score card (wherever applicable)

• Admit card of the entrance exam

• Certificate of reservation (if applicable)

• Certificate of income (if applicable)

• Certificate of disability (if applicable)

• Medical Certificate

• Sponsorship certificate from the employer in case of Government/ Industry sponsored candidates.

• Documentary proof supports the NRI status (only for MBA Pharm.)

• Affidavit to be provided in the form of Undertaking

• Undertaking to be given by the parents regarding ragging for their wards to abide by the rules of NIPER

• View the ‘NIPER JEE- 2023 Result tab
• Click on 'All Master courses except Medical devices (Session 1 )' exam result Section at the top.
• The result will appear on the Screen in PDF format, and candidates can find their AIR by searching for their Application Number using Ctrl+F.

Candidates must carefully read the eligibility requirements before filling out the application form. Only those who meet the eligibility requirements will be considered eligible for admission to NIPER institutions' masters and doctoral programmes. Below are the basic competencies which make a candidate eligible:

• The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent programme or Master’s degree in the corresponding programme according to the course they seek to apply for.
• The candidate should have secured 60 per cent or 6.75 GPA (55 per cent or 6.25 CGPA for SC /ST candidates and 50 per cent or 5.75 GPA for PH candidates) in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
• NIPER exam candidates should also have a valid GATE/NET or GPAT score

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research Joint Entrance Examination (NIPER JEE) exam pattern comprises vital information such as the mode of examination, the language in which the exam is conducted, etc. It is a two-hour long, computer-based examination comprising 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct response is awarded one mark, and 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect response. All the MCQs are asked in the English language only. Candidates have to answer the questions from BPharma and MSc levels. A few questions on general aptitude are also given in the entrance exam.

The NIPER exam syllabus is largely based on the qualifying exam curriculum. Questions from course layout, general pharmaceutical sciences, and general aptitude are all included in the NIPER exam syllabus. Below is the NIPER exam syllabus for the PhD and MPharm/MS programmes.

• PhD courses: Questions will be of MS (Pharm.), MPharm, and MSc ( relevant discipline).

• MPharm/MS courses: For admission to master's courses, BPharm and MSc (relevant discipline) questions will be asked.

• Pharmacy science: Questions from general pharmaceutical sciences.

• Aptitude: Questions from general aptitude.

The entrance test is an exclusive joint entrance exam held by NIPER itself for admission in Masters and PhD programmes in Pharmacy at their seven institutes across India. The seven NIPER campuses are:

The NIPER exam admission process involves the whole procedure to secure a seat via any of the entrance examinations. The process involves filling in application forms to attend the counselling and submitting the admission fee. Below are the brief steps of the admission process:

• Registration/Application form filling: Candidates have to provide their personal details and academic details, upload their recent passport-size photograph and the scanned image of their signature, and submit the application fee to conclude the process.
• Download the Admit Card: The conducting body will release the admit card at least ten or seven days before the entrance exam, and candidates have to download and take a printout of the admit card.
• Appear for the entrance exam: The candidates must appear for the entrance exam by reporting to the allotted centre at the prescribed time and date. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without producing a hard copy of the admit card.
• Attend the counselling: Candidates have to attend the counselling before a personal interview. According to the choice of selected college, candidates will be allotted seats as per their merit.
• Fee submission and attending classes: After the seats are allotted, candidates have to submit the admission fee and the tuition fee at the allotted institutes and attend the classes on the prescribed dates.

NIPER has closed the application process. Candidates were allowed to fill out the NIPER JEE application form online at the official website of NIPER Guwahati. The NIPER JEE 2023 application forms were available last till May 31, 2023. Here are the steps to fill the NIPER application form at the online admission portal:

• Visit the official website of NIPER, niperguwahati.ac.in
• Click on the registration link and create a new user ID and password
• Candidates have to log in to their account by clicking the link sent on the registered mail ID post the registration process.
• Candidates have to provide all the details in the application form, such as Name, Address, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Category, and Subject applied for.
• After filling out the application form, candidates must pay the application fee.
• The application fee is payable via Credit or Debit card, Net Banking or E-Challan
• A confirmation page will appear after the payment is done, and candidates now have to submit and initiate a digital signature.
• Candidates now have to upload their photo ID proof and Address proof, Tenth, and Twelfth Mark sheet, Reservation certificate (if applicable), Medical certificate (if applying under handicapped category), valid GATE, GPAT or NET Scorecard (if applicable), and Passport-sized Photograph along with the digital signature.
• Candidates must take a printout of the filled application form for future reference.

NIPER Exam Centres

According to the conducting body, the centres are subject to adjustment if a sufficient number of registrations are not observed in a specific city. Furthermore, the conducting body would not have a travel allowance (TA) or a regular allowance (DA) if a candidate travels. Candidates are responsible for their own expenses, and NIPER takes no responsibility.
