Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

National Insurance Academy has set forth the qualification criteria to be met by PGDM applicants to be granted admission. Before applying, aspirants must ensure that they meet the academic qualifications. Aspirants must have completed a three-year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university. They should have attained a minimum aggregate of 50% throughout the three years of degree examinations. Candidates are shortlisted according to the marks acquired in the approved entrance test.

National Insurance Academy PGDM fee for two years is INR 12 lakh. The NIA Pune PGDM fee structure comprises various fee elements other than the tuition fee. These items include hostel fees, admission fees, and other security deposits. The mentioned fee has been obtained from the official website/sanctioning body. PGDM program in NIA aims at providing management education with focus on Insurance to the younger generation especially the ones who would like to make a mark in the sunrise industry of insurance. PGDM is a two-year management programme that costs Rs. 11.25 Lacs at the National Insurance Academy (NIA) in Pune. Besides areas such as human resource, marketing and finance, other management subjects include IT and insurance related topics. NIA presents its students with an opportunity of undertaking summer internships within private insurance companies from different Multinational corporations dealing with public sector general insurances. After successfully completing the course, one is likely to earn about Rs 7.56 Lacs per annum on average with leading placement firms being HDFC Bank, ICICI etc., among others.

Applicants applying for PGDM admission at the National Insurance Academy should have a valid rank/score in one of the recognised entrance exams, which include CAT, CMAT, and MAT. The cut-off varies from year to year. Applicants applying for PGDM admission to the institute through CMAT should target getting a rank higher than 95.

The CUET PG 2026 admit card is expected to be released in the fourth week of February. Only the registered candidates will be issued the admit card. 

Here are the prerequisites for admission to PGDM at NIA:

- Any graduate with not less than 50 percent marks.

- General, EWS, OBC-NC candidates have upper age limit of 28 while SC/ST/DA candidates’ age is capped at 30 as on July 1st, 2026.

- To get admitted into PGDM Course in NIA Pune, a candidate should score at least 50% in graduation.

- Selection process includes entrance examination such as CAT/XAT/or CMAT followed by GD / PI / and WAT.

 

The institute has successfully concluded 2025 placements with 100% of student splaced. The highest and average salaries offered were INR 20 LPA and INR 12.74 LPA. The summer internship rate for teh academic year 2024-25 was 100%.
