Honestly giving the feedback and review of hostels in NIT Sikkim. It is not that good but it's okay. There are two hostels, one for B.Tech boys and one out od campus hostel for 1st year boys. The hostel rules and guidelines are strict. 5 persons stay in one room for boys with common bathrooms and toilets for 8 rooms each. For girls, the rules and regulations and regulations are much strictly followed as compared to boys. The accommodation is good for girls with 4 persons in a room. But as compared to boys, girls are privileged in NIT Sikkim. Moreover, at NIT Sikkim, you will learn to adopt this scenarios. In NIT Sikkim, there are 3 internal exams in all. Two Mid-terms of 15 marks each and One End term of 50 marks and the rest 20 marks are awarded by the faculty on their own to the students according to different criteria like assignments, attendance, Viva, test etc. So if you want to have good marks you have to be hardworking and dedicated. If someone fails in the internal exams especially there is no fail pass criteria in the Mid-term exams but in the End-tern exam there is a criteria that you have to score 17.5 in every subject out of 50 to clear your exams and in all you have to score 35 out of 100 in each subject to pass the subject. If you got 35 in each subject but you got less than 17.5 in any subject then you will be considered as fail and you will get a back in that subject.
