The hidden gem - NBMC&H.

Placements: This college provides internship in the associated hospital. The hospital load is too much. Stipends to interns are provided on time. Last year, the government of West Bengal increased the stipend by 10,000 for interns, and there is 5% increment in stipend per year.

Absolutely I am satisfied with the faculty members, college infrastructure, etc.

Placements: Campus placements were not conventionally conducted. Mandatory one-year internship was conducted at NBMCH with a stipend. Top recruiting companies/hospitals were government hospitals, private hospitals, NGOs, etc. Top roles offered were medical officer, junior residents, president doctors, etc.

There is good patient inflow, & a lot to learn. Hostels are average with good infrastructure.

Placements: There are 200 students in each batch. They complete their course in 4.5 years and 1 year of internship, so in total, it's 5.5 years. After completing the course, they are doctors. Out of 200 students, only 10-15 students clear NEET PG, and the remaining students do the house staffship.

Good clinical exposure and poor hostel facilities.

Placements: Most students went for PG, so placements were not very large, but around 80% received job offers. The average package was 6–7 LPA, with the highest being 12 LPA. Internships were 100% in government hospitals, with roles like JR and MO. Some joined private hospitals like Apollo and Fortis. The college was good for clinicals.

Absolutely satisfied with facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: A good percentage of students were placed in the MBBS course because the college was well-known for its MBBS degree. Some companies like Apollo Hospitality and Pharmacy came to offer internships. It's not a large percentage of students got internships, but most of students got jobs in government or private hospitals and were earning well.

My honest review of my college.

Placements: Medical colleges do not offer placements and most students after passing out prepare for post-graduate entrance examinations and some of them take up jobs also. Getting a job after MBBS is very easy and most of the doctors after MBBS earn Rs. 70,000 to 1 lakh per month in the private hospital and around Rs. 70,000 per month while working in the government sector. The college provides internships for MBBS students in its own hospital. The stipend is quite handsome compared to other colleges. An i...
