M.Sc. in Medical Surgical Nursing

Omkar College has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

Courses	Eligibility
B.Sc. (Post Basic)	Candidates should be registered as Registered Nurses and Registered Midwives (RNRM). Candidates should possess a three-year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in the profession (after registration as RNRM).
B.Ed	Candidate must have passed graduation from a recognised University/Institute.
B.Sc.	Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Science stream from a recognised board.
GNM	Registered ANM with pass mark.
D.Ed	Candidate must have passed 10+2 from any recognised Board/Council.

The basic difference between Medical-Surgical Nursing and General Nursing practice is that Medical-Surgical Nursing is focused on the specific area of study, where Nurses get trained to provide medical assistance to patients with surgical conditions. Meanwhile, the general Nursing practice trains Nurses for every basic duty for a general patient's ward.
