Good course and decent college.

Placements: B.Com (Hons.) at PGDAV College, DU, batch 2024–27, offers good exposure to commerce and business. 70 percent of students get placed. The package offered us 3 LPA- 10 LPA. Top recruiters are Deloitte, EY, WTW, Accenture, and Zomato. Internships are also available.

Infrastructure: PGDAV College has facilities like good classrooms, Wi-Fi, library, computer labs, canteen, and sports facilities. The infrastructure is satisfactory for B.Com (Hons.). College does not have an on-campus hostel so hostel and mess facilities are not applicable.

Faculty: The teachers at PGDAV College are qualified, knowledgeable, and generally helpful. The teaching quality is good. The B.Com (Hons.) curriculum is relevant and provides a good foundation though students need extra practical skills to become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is generally high.

Other: I am pursuing B.Com (Hons.) at PGDAV College, DU, batch 2024–27. I chose it for my interest in commerce and business. Course offers good exposure through societies, events, and extracurricular activities. Connectivity is good, though infrastructure and placement opportunities could improve.

Faculty and the knowledge are great.

Placements: About 70% of the seniors in my course got placed in renowned companies like EY and Google. The average package was 7 LPA. The highest package was around 15 LPA. The top company recruiting in my course is EY. Almost all students got internships this year. The roles offered are Financial Analyst, Financial Manager, Data Entry Operator, and Human Resource Manager.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice. There are a lot of classrooms, eliminating last-minute hassles. Labs are air-conditioned. The library has almost 1,50,000 books to offer to readers. Although the college does not have hostel facilities. We can find PGs and hostels around the college because of its good location. The canteen is above average. We can find nice food at a reasonable cost. We have a sports room and a game room where we can play some sports or indoor games for mental well-being.

Faculty: Teachers at our college are very helpful. They are qualified and knowledgeable. They are always ready to help every student if needed. The curriculum offered is relevant. It enhances our skills and knowledge. Apart from the course curriculum, we also get practical knowledge. The semester exams at the college or university are very decent, so we can pass the exams with flying colours if we study a bit.

Other: I chose this course because of the industrial exposure that I wanted to get. The best thing about this course is that teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. However, there are some flaws as well. If we get more practical exposure than theoretical knowledge, we can be industry-ready before being exposed to the economy and the corporate world. That would help us a lot in interviews. If this can be corrected, that would be helpful for all the students and the teachers as well.

Good college with helpful faculty and decent facilities.

Placements: Since I'm pursuing B.Com (Hons.), many career options are available. These include accounting, finance, banking, marketing, HR, & business management. I can also go for roles like Accountant, Financial Analyst, HR Executive, Marketing Executive, or professional courses like CA, CMA, or MBA.

Infrastructure: Facilities in my department are good. We have proper classrooms. Wi-Fi is available. It has a library with useful books and study material, and computer labs for practical work. The basic facilities required for our course are available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It provides useful knowledge, but more practical exposure can make students more industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate in difficulty. The pass percentage is generally good. Our college has best faculty. They are very supportive and understanding. They always help us and guide us regarding our future. They always treat us like their own children. I personally love the faculty of the Commerce department. They always help me in my academics and also guide me for my betterment.

Good DU brand, affordable education, with decent placements, good faculty, and a good campus life.

Placements: To be very honest, only 20-25% of students were placed in my course. The highest package was 5.4 LPA. The lowest was 3.5 LPA. Most students easily got an average package of around 4.5 LPA in B.Com (Hons). Students were recruited by good companies like EY, Deloitte, BDO, and HCL. Around 30% of students got internships in KPMG, Paytm, Policybazaar, etc. The top roles offered in B.Com (Hons) were Accounts Executive, Management Trainee, Tax Associate, Sales Executive, etc.

Infrastructure: The college provided decent facilities. It had a spacious library and a big playground for many sports like cricket, volleyball, and basketball. The college had a fairly big canteen. Students could easily sit and eat their food calmly. The food quality was also good enough. Infrastructure of the classrooms was not up to the mark. Benches were very old and needed to be replaced. Otherwise, everything was good.

Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and helpful. Their teaching quality was truly appreciable. However, some teachers were absent many times or did not attend classes. The course curriculum was quite relevant. Through which students could easily become industry-ready if they attended the classes dedicatedly. The semester exams were not that difficult. Many students easily passed the exams with the help of 10-year books. The course had a passing percentage of almost 95%.

Other: I had always been interested in commerce subjects, which is why I chose this course. The best things about this course were a good foundation in accounting and placement opportunities. It paired well with professional courses like CA, CS, MS, etc. The college should have focused on crowd management because many local students created chaos for outsiders. The classroom infrastructure also needed improvement. The college regularly provided internship opportunities, extracurricular activities, fests, and various events. There were many societies available for students. They could join according to their interests, like music, nukkad, dance, etc. The metro station was only 100 metres away, which helped with connectivity.

Satisfied with college, got to learn new things, and did internships as a fresher in FNP (MNC).

Placements: There are mostly B.Com and B.Com honours students pursuing CA or some professional course. The attendance is not an issue altogether you may have to give an undertaking which will do the work, submit assignments, and practical on the date otherwise you will fail. Placements are available for B.Com honours students. You will get placed. Rs. 30,000-Rs. 40,000 per month salary is offered and depending on performance may increase. Senior accountant roles and management roles are offered. Deloitte came for internships. We have a good placement cell too.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus but I'm not sure how to use as I have my network connection. Sometimes there are network issues due to jammers installed on campus. Classrooms are good though not very classy and the benches are okay. Overall I would rate 3/5. The college has no hostel facilities.

Faculty: Teachers are very good at explaining and knowledgeable. My accountancy teacher is a CS and CAs are also teaching in the college. As I am pursuing the CA Intermediate and the college curriculum is helpful for me. Software is taught in the curriculum like Tally ERP, etc., which makes you ready for the industry. End-semester exams are not difficult to pass you just need to learn the concepts. The pass percentage is 33 percent in both internals and exams.

Other: I chose B.Com honours in the morning as I wanted to pursue CA with college life. I think I made a good choice. Annual fest is there. You can go to the Delhi University College to attend the fest. Our college also hosts fests and events on a regular basis.

Reality of Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College.

Placements: The placement I have heard from my senior is very less, as PGDAV falls under off-campus, so the placement is much less than expected. Also, they are not compatible with the placement, so many won't take them. It is very hard to find placement in PGDAV College. As it started online, it is very different, so don't rely on college placement.

Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi, and classrooms are very old; they need restoration. There is no ventilation in the classes, so it is very important to get classrooms restored as it gets very hot in the summers. Also, the college only offers a hostel for girls, and the canteen food is good and affordable. Sports are given major importance in this college, and it has a very big ground for cricket.

Faculty: Some teachers were helpful, but some were very rude and arrogant. They even tortured students, I have been in that situation one time. Teaching quality is very poor. The course and curriculum are relevant, and yes, it can make a student industry ready. The semester exams are not difficult, but they are not very easy, they are at a moderate level.

Other: There are events and fests every year. It is good.
