Most of the students get placement from our college, so many companies can visit our college because it is the most reputed college at Delhi University.

Not a lot of students go for the placements through the college, and there were no internships at my time.

    Good for graduation only.
Placements: I am pursuing B.Com (prog) from Zakir Husain Delhi College. According to my senior, the package is not good, it's around 3 LPA. I do not have much idea about the placement, as I have seen or heard that the placement is not very good at Zakir Husain Delhi College.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for B.Com (Prog) is not very good, but it is acceptable. Zakir Husain Delhi College does not provide hostels for students; instead, students reside in PG accommodations in Laxmi Nagar. Most of the students live in Laxmi Nagar, which is famous for CA and CS coaching.
Faculty: The faculty of commerce at Zakir Husain Delhi College is good. Professors are good with students. Professors help students with what to do in the future or what not to do in the future, and they ask the students about their goals for the future. Overall, the professors are very polite with the students.
Other: I want to do B.Com (prog) from the start of my graduation; that’s why I chose B.Com (prog) at Zakir Husain Delhi College. The infrastructure can be improved, and I hope the new building will also open soon.

    1Placements2Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
The faculty is average, but the infrastructure is below average.
Placements: The placement record for the B.Com course has been quite encouraging. Around 70-80% of students were placed through campus placements, while others chose to pursue higher studies or prepare for government exams like UPSC CA or banking. The highest package offered in B.Com went up to around 7-8 LPA, typically from reputed finance or consulting firms. The lowest package started at 2-2.5 LPA, while the average package ranged between 3.5 and 4.5 LPA, depending on the student's skill set and performance.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, Zakir Husain Delhi College does fall a bit short in some areas. The buildings are quite old, and while the classrooms are functional, they lack modern facilities like smart boards or proper air-conditioning. Some classrooms may have projectors, but not all are in working condition consistently. Wi-Fi is available, but the connection is often slow or unreliable. There are no dedicated commerce or computer labs for B.Com students, and practical exposure is limited within the department itself. Students often have to rely on external sources or personal devices for digital learning.
Faculty: Faculty members in the B.Com department are generally qualified and experienced, with many of them holding PhDs or UGC NET qualifications. Most professors have a strong academic background, and some are even involved in research. However, the teaching quality can be mixed. While a few teachers are truly dedicated and make the concepts clear with real-life examples, others tend to stick to textbook teaching and lack interactive engagement. That said, if you attend lectures regularly and take the initiative to ask questions, most teachers are helpful and approachable.
Other: There's no such exciting experience I've had since there are no events or fests conducted in this college. Barely any events are organized that are not engaging.

Supportive faculty and a solid academic base, but industry skills need extra effort.
Placements: NIRF 2023 data shows that about 21% (294 out of 1,438 UG students) get placed, though this includes all UG programs. According to multiple student reviews, 50–60% of B.Com students secure campus placements. Top companies include TCS, Tata Capital, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Barclays, and many more. Nearly 60–70% of students secure internships in these companies, and the roles mainly offered are accountant, tax assistant, consulting intern, internal auditor, etc.
Infrastructure: If you talk about the library, it's pretty good with AC installations. The infrastructure is not very good, to be honest, but the new college building, which is yet to open, has perfect infrastructure and looks like a private college building. The ground is decent, and the greenery is good. Classrooms are better for science students, and for the commerce department, the first-floor classrooms are clean and good.
Faculty: Exams are based on DU’s semester pattern, internal assessment (10–20 marks), and written exams (80–90 marks). Most questions come from class notes and past year papers. Regular attendance and basic preparation are enough to pass comfortably. I think the passing percentage is around 80–95%. If I talk about teachers, I can say with confidence that they are really good and helpful. Accounts teacher Rizwan Sir is the best, along with Alam Sir. However, some teachers are too strict about attendance, which is a concern for students who bunk classes.
Other: I chose this course because I'm from a commerce background, and I wanted to pursue B.Com (Hons), but as my CUET score is 655 out of 800 in the general category, that's why I got this course. The best thing about this course, to be honest, is that it's best for those who are preparing for professional exams like CA, CS, CMA, and SSC because the B.Com Programme is slightly easier than Hons. If I talk about events and fests, they are mostly held from January to April.

I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure.
Placements: The college organises an internship fair in the college itself every year. More than 100 companies visit for recruitment and offer various internships and placements. If we talk about the percentage of people who got an internship in B.Com (Hons) it is approximately 15% because it depends on the skill set of the candidate and the interests they carry various internships are unpaid and few are based on stipend which varies upto Rs. 15,000.
Infrastructure: There are different conditions in different classrooms. Few of them contain new benches whereas a few of them do not even have painted walls and old wooden benches which are not comfortable. The new building of the college is open just for lab purposes. I have no idea about the opening of the new building of Zakir Hussain Delhi College.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified. They are specialized in their respective subjects. This course does not make students industry-ready. Students should have some soft skills, other skills, and knowledge to get a higher package in the future. Semester exams are not very difficult as the papers are made by the university only. The pass percentage in each exam is 40% and the majority of the students clear the exams.
Other: There are not such good events. The crowd is mostly northeastern and Muslim. No big fest is conducted. Only 1 major fest in a year. The college has various societies.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty members.
Placements: My batch is 2022-2025 and I am pursuing the course B.Com (Hons). 60-70% of students got placed. The highest package is 6 LPA - 7 LPA. The lowest package is 2 LPA - 3 LPA in B.Com (Hons). Top recruiting companies are ICICI Bank, Bajaj, and Genpact. Overall, the placements are good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The classrooms are average. Wi-Fi is available only in the library. There are 3 labs and one extra lab inside the library. Library is also good and books are available at the library. There is no facility for the hostel. The quality of food in the canteen is also good.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and they are qualified professors. Their teaching quality is also good. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams at this college are average because all Delhi University exams are the same. 70-80% of students are passing every semester exam.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to do this. This course is best for those students who want to pursue a career in business. I wish the practical part should improve more rather than the theory part. In this college, the events are held. Fest helps and the campus crowd is also good.

    Student Life of My College.
Placements: Placements are good in our college, and many of the students got placements with a good salary package. If you score good marks, the college offers a good salary package, but the percentage is only 20% out of 100 to get into internships, depending on the course. There's a placement cell that brings suitable opportunities for all courses, and sometimes specific subject internships are available. However, the stipend offered by those companies is sometimes too low, and some are unpaid.
Infrastructure: The college's library is fully air-conditioned and has many books with lots of authors displayed with rich collections. It has lots of well-equipped labs and computers connected with personal Wi-Fi. The cafeteria food is okay, not that impressive, and has limited items. The campus Wi-Fi is available for students, and the auditorium is also big. It has hospital/medical facilities too. There's no hostel, and it's a negative point for people who have to travel long distances away from home. The new building is not yet open for us, and there are no sports activities available.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and helpful, depending on the course and subjects. Some of them are really helpful, but many others are like they don't care. The faculty members are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and some of them treat us like their own children. The professors have advanced degrees in their fields, and the teaching quality is also good with interactive student engagement. The exams vary from moderate to high, and the passing percentage is about 30%.
Other: First, I gave the board exams and scored 90.02%, and with a good score, I wanted to choose B.Com. Hons. as my course with the first priority. Then I gave the CUET and got selected for this college. The overall course is good and knowledgeable, and it is the most selected course for commerce background students. I wish to improve the quality of teaching for particular subjects. The events and fests are fine, and the campus crowd is good too. The scholarships are there for students. But there aren't that many extracurricular activities for interested students. There are clubs for students that are not so great and supportive.
