Review of Patna Science College, Patna University.

Placements: Almost 10% of the students got placed from our college. The highest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Wipro is the top recruiting company in our college for placements. There is no internship in our course. There is a placement cell, but it is not good, so only 10% of the students got placements in some companies.

Infrastructure: The building is good, and lab facilities are also available. Wi-Fi is also available on our campus, and there is a good library. The campus has a big ground for sports and other activities. The hostel is also good, and it is available at a reasonable rate. Mess and canteen are also good.

Faculty: Professors are knowledgeable and qualified, but they are not regular for taking the class. There are some regular and some guest faculty members. The syllabus is completed on time, and you get to know things that you have in your syllabus. The course curriculum is not updated and does not make students industry-ready.

Review of Patna Science College.

Placements: Patna Science College is one of the best colleges in India. However, the main focus of teaching is not to get students placed somewhere but to develop them for pursuing masters from better colleges. Patna Science College does not have a placement cell during my tenure. Few students go for teaching jobs or apply for better colleges after doing B.Sc (H). There were no criteria to do the internship or project to pass during my tenure. Hence, no one had done the internship in college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good as it is located in the tier-2 city. Wi-Fi facility is not available in the college. I was a day-scholar. There are hostels, but it was not as good as I have seen in IITs. Our classrooms were simple, and the faculty used to teach us using chalk and blackboard only. Medical facilities are not available in the college. We do have a small library, and a ground to play cricket and other sports. I do not have any idea about the mess food, but as far as I know, it was not good. There is no good canteen in the college. Although the buildings are quite old, I did not have any issue regarding the college infrastructure.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are good, and many of them hold PhD from good colleges. Few of them are worth emulating. Almost every faculty knows how to teach and help students. The teaching method is simple and just like any other college. The student to faculty ratio is around 30:1. We did not get any industry exposure. The course curriculum is helpful, and it has helped one of my friends and me in getting seats in JNU.
