A practical and student-friendly college.

Placements: The placements for the B.Com batch were decent, and the requirements were good communication skills with basic domain knowledge. Around 25% of the batch sat for the placements, and most of them got placed. The highest package offered was around 4 LPA, whereas the average was around 2.5 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure and is one of the bigger colleges under Panjab University. The classrooms are big and have blackboards as well as smartboards for good audio-visual aids. There is also a library that has a wide range of books available. Hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls with decent facilities. Medical facilities are also available.

Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful and well-qualified. The teaching quality of the teachers is also very good, as they focus on both academic concepts and real-life examples. The curriculum is very relevant for building a strong foundation in commerce and related management subjects. It prepares students well for higher studies and also makes them industry-ready. The students can pass the exams easily when they have regular attendance and studies.

Other: The college has moderate fees along with a decent curriculum that surely makes it a value-for-money college. The infrastructure and facilities provided are also very good. The ROI of this college is good.

The environment is not good for students who actually want to achieve something.

Placements: The worst placement cell of a college that I have ever seen. Some of the companies that came last year offered a salary package of 1.5 LPA. The faculty takes no initiative to encourage students to participate in any placement drives. Some teachers even scold students who try to participate. They tell us to focus on our studies only and not on placements.

Infrastructure: Only 2 stars for infrastructure as the building is good but no availability of Wi-Fi. Even the network in the cell phones doesn't work inside the campus. There is only 1 restroom on every floor and students and teachers have to share the same washrooms. Hostel rooms are small but manageable. The mess food is the worst. There is no doctor in the hostel after college hours. There is no availability ofan ambulance in the college.

Faculty: Faculty members are qualified but they do not like to work. They just come into the class, sit, take attendance, and leave. Some teachers are good. They actually try to work. They are good in their subjects but you still have to get help from YouTube to complete your syllabus. The curriculum is not very difficult. If you study enough. One can easily score around 65-70%.

Other: There is no college life here. Our college does not conduct fests and events. You just come to college, attend classes, and return to your home.

The college is what I would say is average overall.

Placements: The college doesn't provide many placement options but only decent ones . If you're looking for a degree at a cheap price, you can definitely get admission here. The events and other fests organized for professionals are less than those of an arts degree.

Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure. The furniture and classrooms are just fine. You can not expect much from a government-controlled institution. Few classes have great access to smart classes, but overall the college lacks good quality infrastructure and doesn't have network connections at all. You need to roam without internet or connections.

Faculty: The faculty is okay, as only a few experienced teachers are there . The most attention is on attendance rather than actual worldly knowledge about life and jobs . There are fewer teachers for subjects as the number of people in the staff is very low. The student-teacher ratio is poor.

Other: You can go there if you want to have fun and not study. The college atmosphere is not what you would want to have great memories in.

Insights of PGGC, Chandigarh.

Placements: There are zero placements opportunities from the college at under graduate level. The students are not even allowed to have an NOC for interning. The attendance is a major issue in the college which is a little sad. The college does not offer any placements.

Infrastructure: The hostel is available at a very cheap price which is just 1000 a month. It is quite good and kept clean. The campus has labs. There is a library which is spacious consisting of two storeys and it has AC. However, the classes have fans and they are also spacious and clean.

Faculty: The passing percentage is 40 percent for the theory exams and as well as the practical or assessments at college level. There is 1 mid semester exam held, and those who fail, have to give a re-test. There is one final semester exam at the end. The teachers are helpful, approachable and highly qualified.

So as with every other college, my college is not very unique but it is way better in its own terms.

Placements: Although most of the students get placements in our college, as it is one of the best colleges in Chandigarh. A minimum of 50–60% of students got placement here if they had the skills that the company required. Our college offered a maximum package of INR 8 to 10 LPA. So now it's up to you, whether you want to take admission or not.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, and rooms are airy and are in good condition. College authorities make some changes from time to time. The hostel facility is also good. We had great food in our hostel mess unlike others and at a reasonable rate. And if you are good at sports, then college will help you achieve something in your life.

Faculty: Teachers are way too good at our college. But some are way too strict. Although it's not too complicated to pass in the final exams, just study important topics and you will pass. According to Punjab university, the minimum percentage to pass is 33% in each subject.

Other: Fests took place from time to time. The crowd is good at our college. Remember, having a great personality in college is a must.

It is a very good college to take admission.

Placements: Around 90% of students got placed last year. The highest package offered was 9 LPA. The lowest package was 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Jio, Airtel, Google, Adani, Puma etc. This college brings in a great range of companies to offer placements to the students and help students grow faster.

Infrastructure: My course is the best according to what I planned for my future. The infrastructure is good. It has a good study environment so that students can study. They have a very good library with all the books. Labs and an anti-ragging cell are available. A medical room and a sports complex are available.

Faculty: The pass percentage is 33% for normal courses and 40% for professional courses. The teaching staff are excellent, and they all are highly qualified to make the students more qualified. Semester exams are not much difficult.

I am satisfied with the college experience.

Placements: Placements are limited in our college. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. The top companies that recruit are TCS, Wipro, etc. Around 10% of students got an internship in various companies like TCS, Wipro, etc. The top roles are junior manager and manager.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. It has neat and clean classrooms, but Wi-Fi facilities are not available. It has a projector. The quality of infrastructure is good as compared to other government colleges. The hostels are average, and the medical facilities are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and very qualified. The curriculum is relevant but it needs more practical work to make students ready for the industry. The exams are difficult but if students study then they can easily pass. The pass percentage is 70% in the semester.

It is an average college only for graduation. Placements are not provided in this college.

Placements: Placements are not good enough in this college. However, they provide all opportunities to grow our confidence in all fields like commerce, science, arts, sports, etc. Internships are not provided by this college as it is a government-initiated. No step is taken for this.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is average. It is an old build which is built in approximately 1990s. It is a government-owned property. The hostel is also old but affordable for all class of family. Classrooms are average maintained but not high and newly repaired. Facilities like sports activities are undertaken for students.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in this college. They are well-developed to enhance students career in all fields. This college provides relevant courses like arts, commerce, science, etc. They don't provide any industry orientation to any students.

Other: This college conducts all fests for the entertainment of students and teachers of the campus. Many events are organised for the development and confidence of students.
