PVPSIT Vijayawada has an engaging campus life.
Placements: The placements and training cell really works to connect students with industries. They organize and help us with everything like placement preparation, interviews, and career guidance. The institute is autonomous and actively updates the curriculum to meet the demands of the job market. They also conduct placement-related activities like mock testing and recruitment drives. They provide stipend-based internships for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the institute is spread over nearly 19.98 acres of land. The surroundings are a peaceful and green setting. The institute is located only eight kilometers away from the city center. There are many classrooms with projectors and books, and each classroom has a seating capacity of around 60 to 70 students. We have hostel facilities for both boys and girls separately. The girls' hostel is right on the campus with around 68 rooms, which can accommodate nearly 300 students. Strict discipline is maintained, and there is a strict curfew at the institute's hostel.
Faculty: My institute has good and experienced faculty members who give their best. The teachers' department is led by Dr. B. V. Subha Rao, Professor and Head of our department. There are 22 experienced faculty members for my course. They are intellectually smart and guide us with the right pathways. An outcome-based dedication approach is followed by students, and classes are a mix of blackboard explanations, labs, and practical projects. Our faculty is not only experienced but also approachable; they walk us through real-life examples for better understanding.
Other: My time at PVPSIT Vijayawada has been both challenging and rewarding. I chose this institute because of its strong placement record, experienced faculty, and active campus life. What I really liked is that this institute not only imparts theoretical knowledge to students but also teaches them how to survive in society, how to build a good character, how to develop personal skills, and how to have good personalities after entering society.

Review of my college, with honesty.
Placements: From 2023 to 2027, about 85% of students from the Information Technology branch are placed, with packages ranging from 3 to 12 LPA, and an average of ₹3.5 lpa. Top recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and HTC. Around 60% of students got internships with firms like TCS, Efftronics, and Hexaware. Common roles offered are software developer, data analyst, and testing engineer.
Infrastructure: Our IT department has Wi-Fi-enabled labs and spacious classrooms with projectors. Students also have access to a well-stocked library. The hostel is clean, but the mess food is average. The canteen has a limited variety of food, and there are general medical facilities available. Additionally, there are sports grounds, courts, and indoor games for students.
Faculty: Most teachers are qualified with M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees and are helpful in clearing doubts. The curriculum is updated and relevant, with a mix of theory and practical applications to build industrial skills. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and the pass percentage is usually above 90% in our branch.
Other: I chose the Information Technology course because of my interest in cybersecurity, problem-solving, and the strong placement record here. The best part is the updated curriculum, good lab facilities, and plenty of coding events. I wish there were more industry-linked workshops and newer equipment. Our main festival, Siddharth, is vibrant, usually held in March, and attracts a lively campus crowd. The campus is well-connected by public transport, and we have scholarships like Jagananna Vidya Deevena.

My college life, the way I spent it, and things that I know about it.
Placements: Since the placement drive is in process, nearly 30-40% of students who are eligible have been selected for placements. In our college, the main recruitment is done from service-based companies like TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. Product-based companies like Amazon, Flipkart, etc., also hire students.
Infrastructure: Hostels are only provided for girls from the college side. There are many PGs at just a walkable distance from the college for boys. There is good availability of Wi-Fi. The library is present. It has basic games like shuttle, throwball, and basketball.
Faculty: Many faculty members working here are pure professionals. They have a lot of experience in this field. They are PhD holders and doctorates. The course curriculum of the college is affiliated with JNTUK, and the syllabus will be based on the JNTUK government board. There are 2 mid exams in a semester and 2 semester exams in a year, with internal and external for labs.
Other: I chose CSE because of my personal interest in this field, and it is good at this college. Maybe the canteen food is not that good, so the canteen needs to be modified. Events and fests are very few when compared to other colleges and universities.

Decent college experience with good opportunities, but room for improvement.
Placements: I am from the 2023-27 B.Tech IT batch and currently in my 3rd year. Based on the senior batches, around 75% to 80% of students from our course got placed. The highest package offered is above 16 LPA, the lowest is around 3 LPA, and the average package is around 4.5 LPA. Major recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. Along with some product-based companies, around 60% of students managed to get internships, mostly in IT service companies or startups. Common roles are software developer and web developer.
Infrastructure: Our department has decent infrastructure with computer labs, smart classrooms, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. The library is well-stocked and quiet for study. The hostel rooms are okay for living with proper maintenance, electricity, and water supply. Mess food is average but clean, and thus, a canteen for extra food options, medical support, and sports facilities like a badminton court, cricket ground, and gym are available on campus.
Faculty: Most of the faculty are qualified and approachable and are willing to clear the doubts. The teaching quality is good, and the curriculum is updated as per industry trends, with good coding practices. The semester exams are moderately difficult, but regular preparation is enough to pass. The pass percentage is generally high.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in coding and technology. The best part is the practical learning, though I wish there were more industrial projects and workshops. The campus is well-connected, safe, and will offer scholarships to deserving students.

Good infrastructure, placements, friendly faculty members, lab facilities, and sports.
Placements: 99% should be placed in our college. The highest package is 44 LPA. The average salary should be 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, and HCL. Almost those who get placed are going to the internship.
Infrastructure: All facilities should be available like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library. There is no complaint about that and water facility is so good. College should be very clean and neat. Medical facilities are good. Canteen food is also good. Sports should be conducted, and the faculty members must be encouraged for that.
Faculty: Teachers must be helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is excellent. Curriculum is relevant, and coming to the difficult, there is not much difficulty in the semesters. It should be moderate. The pass percentage will be 100% in the college.
Other: I chose computer science and engineering. I am interested in software so that's why I am taking that course. Events and fests should be held.

The life in the college.
Placements: As in the period of recession, there are no lot of companies at this time. But as I have seen in the past, there are companies like Accenture, TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. There is also the highest package of 44 LPA offered by Amazon and an average package of 8.48 LPA by dream companies.
Infrastructure: As I'm living in Vijayawada, I'm a day scholar and not in the hostel. But there is only a hostel for girls provided by the college, but not for boys. Boys have some PGs on the sides of the college. There are different types of labs like Chemistry, Physical, different types of computer labs, and workshops.
Faculty: For the department of freshman engineering, i.e., 1st year, the faculty is good and friendly and make us habit for the college. There will be a counselor for every section and need to be reported every week. The exam pattern is there will be 2 mid exams and a sem.
Other: I have selected CSE with my interest and the demand in the world. There are also options like sliding after the admission. I think it will be better if the canteen is improved. There are different types of clubs and fests happening in the college, and scholarships will also be provided.
