Puthimari College - Through a Thought.
Placements: As our college is providing only the arts stream and only for non-technical courses, there is no on-campus placement process for the college. The students from our college have to appear for examinations to get placed. The examinations that students are appearing for are APSC, UPSC, state requirements examinations, etc.
Infrastructure: The arts stream provides various subjects such as geography, education, philosophy, etc., for a bachelor’s degree. All the classrooms are well-maintained with a maximum capacity of 40 students for each subject. The hostel is available for the students on the college campus itself with proper hygiene.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and helpful too. They teach the students like their children. There are extracurricular courses also for students. The semester examinations are tough, though. The college examination board holds examinations in a very strict manner.

Our college is situated in a village area. Most of the students are from economically poor families.
Placements: There is no such provision of placements in our college. As it is not a vocational institution, none of the companies visits here to recruit students. So, there are no placements or internships in any company, but I can join the banking sector because of my economic background.
Infrastructure: Usually, facilities available here are provided in grade A type of colleges. Our college is average in terms of infrastructure. It has classrooms where lighting and cooling system are available. There is Wi-Fi, but it is used by only officials. There is a library also, where around 5,000 books are available. There is not any hostel.
Faculty: In our course, teachers are very much qualified to teach. They are immensely knowledgeable and know how to teach and what to teach. They encourage us a lot. The curriculum has utter importance in today's world. In some cases, it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are very much difficult. I think the pass percentage was 30%.
Other: I love to know about the economic part of the world. Moreover, I want to be a tax inspector so that I can reduce tax evasion. So, I chose this course. I wish our course should contain more practical explanation and use of the audio-visual system.
