Excellent choice for technical education.
Placements: I belonged to the 2022-2025 batch, pursuing a diploma in computer science and engineering. Our batch saw placements with top recruiters like NEC, NIC, and NERIST, with packages ranging from 2.5 LPA to 4.5 LPA. Top roles included software developer, site engineer, electrical engineer, and automotive engineer. Around 40% of students secure internships with state government departments.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure at Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Itanagar, are excellent, providing a conducive learning environment. The institute offered well-equipped laboratories, workshops, and computer centers with modern equipment and internet facilities, including Wi-Fi. The campus also has spacious classrooms, a library, and separate hostels for boys and girls with good quality food in the mess and canteen. Medical facilities are available. Sports and games facilities are excellent with an annual sports meet named Reila, promoting recreational, entertainment, information, literary, and sporting activities.
Faculty: Faculty members in my course are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, providing excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is relevant and industry-oriented, making students job-ready. Semester exams are conducted by Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education, with passing criteria set at 35% for theory and 40% for practical exams, which consist of a final test and viva-vice.
Other: I belonged to the 2022-2025 batch, pursuing a diploma in computer science and engineering at Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Itanagar. I chose this course due to my interest in computer science and job prospects. The best things were the curriculum, faculty, and placements. I wish for more flexibility and electives. Campus life was vibrant with events, festivals, and extracurricular activities. Overall, my experience was enriching and helped me grow academically and personally.
