Review of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Srikakulam Campus - RGUKT.

Placements: Currently, we are pursuing the 2nd year of engineering in CSE. Placements are better compared with last year. What I observed in placements is that about 45-50 percent of students get placed in internships. Start-up companies in Visakhapatnam visit our campus and conduct the drives. Our course offers AI/ML from this year, and our juniors also got that opportunity. The highest package offered ranges from 6-7 LPA.

Infrastructure: In our classrooms, Wi-Fi is available. It has clean classrooms. The library is small because our Srikakulam campus has few facilities compared with other campuses. Hostels are average. No Wi-Fi is available in hostels. Mess has recently changed to Akshyapatra. It is somewhat better compared with last time, and no water is available in the mess for drinking. The canteen has only a few items. Some medical facilities are available. Sports and games are well active.

Faculty: Faculty members are not punctual. In some subjects here, no faculty members are available. We have to study on our own. Classes are only one session, either morning or afternoon. The course curriculum is relevant. We study on our own using the internet. Semester exams are tough. The pass percentage is changed year by year, and I think it is 70 percent.

Other: I would rate it 5 stars because the government provides a great opportunity to study. We can study on our own and build a career. I chose computer science engineering because I am interested in the software side, like company work, coding, and all such things. I learned many things from workshops and events. The cultural activities are always good. It always happens without any delays. Scholarships are good. It is worth it for students who can study on their own. Do not depend on others.

Last year we got very good placements, and as I said, we can say 50-50 about the college.

Placements: Around 70 percent of students are placed every year. As per my knowledge, last year around 2 students got 23 LPA, and a few more got around 15 LPA. Companies like MosChip, a Visakhapatnam-based company, Infosys, etc., visit the campus. Around 30 percent of 4th-year students get placed in internships in my course, mainly in SQL, Head roles, and a few in data analysis.

Infrastructure: The hostel is good, but the boys’ hostel has limited rooms, so boys have to share a little bit. We have all sports fields.

Faculty: The curriculum is good, but theory is a little high and practical exposure is very less. Nowadays, they are improving the course curriculum. The curriculum is relevant, but it does not make a student completely industry-ready. We can say it is medium. You can pass easily, but if you want a high grade, you have to study a lot.

Other: This college is improving day by day. Don’t expect a perfect college, but it is value for money.

Placements: Many students from this institution, i.e., Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, get placements in various companies with higher positions through on-campus drives, and they also get internships from various companies. Nearly 60% of students qualify for campus.

Infrastructure: Coming to the infrastructure in this institution, it is well-equipped with digital classrooms and moderately equipped laboratories. They also provide high-speed Wi-Fi for students and faculty members for educational purposes. Coming to the hostel, it is okay, and the mess food is also good.

Faculty: In this institution, all faculty members are well qualified, with a minimum qualification of M.Tech from reputed institutions like IITs and NITs. Regarding the curriculum of the course, it is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Exams in this institution are moderately difficult.

Placements: Every year, many companies like Capgemini, Wipro, etc come to our campus for campus drives, i.e, recruitment. Nearly 60 to 70% of students who attend the drive are selected. Not sure about the packages given by the companies. As compared to previous years, this year's rate is low.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. They provide Wi-Fi facility in classrooms, academic blocks, as well as hostel rooms. At present, Wi-Fi in hostel rooms is only provided for girls. They provide cots and cotton mattresses, and every room contains a tube light and fans. They contain modern bathrooms.

Faculty: Teachers are generally well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, with many having PhDs and backgrounds from top institutions like IITs. While the teaching quality is mostly good. Some students feel the curriculum could be more up-to-date and practical to make them fully industry-ready. Semester exams are considered moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of 75% CGPA overall.

Review of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies.

Placements: At least 60% of students were placed in the course. The highest package offered is 90 LPA, and the lowest is 70 LPA. Wipro and Google are the top companies that offered opportunities for us. 70% of students got internships, and the top roles offered are HR and junior HR positions through rounds.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs are not well-equipped, but classrooms are neat and clean. The facilities are not very nice, and the food is not so good compared to other universities. Medical facilities are well-equipped.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable, with the highest qualifications for teaching. The course is very relevant, but it does not prepare students for the industry. Semester exams are not so easy, and the pass percentage is very low compared to other universities, around 40%.

Other: The course is highly regarded on campus. I think the college should provide more extracurricular activities compared to other campuses.
