Extremely recommended because of placement records, alumni network, and engagement with technology.
Placements: Approximately 70% of students are placed. The highest package is 13 LPA, the lowest is 3 LPA, and the average is 4.5 LPA. The top recruiting company is Tech Mahindra, and the top role offered is SDE. Many tech companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, Tata, and many fintech firms also came to campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Wi-Fi is available, and labs and libraries are well-furnished. The hostel is not available, but the canteen is very good. The food is also good.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is designed to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are of a standard level with good education. Students' pass records are also good. Most of the students are being passed by giving good papers, and the pass percentage is approximately 85-90%.
Other: I am from the B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering batch. I chose it because I love technology. The infrastructure is very standard in this college. Everything is okay for my course. More engagement of teachers and students could make it better. There are many fests like Techtrix, Innovision, and Regalia that are well spent. Scholarships like SVMCM, Freeship, etc., can also be availed by the students from this college. There are many sports events, tech events like GOT, and cultural events organized in this college.

Good college to join.
Placements: Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant. The highest package will be according to your skill, not the degree of the course, but the average will be 4 to 6 LPA. About 50 to 60% of students get placed. Summer internships and training courses are available.
Infrastructure: Labs are decent, and the canteen is also good and clean. Hostels are not available; you can take personal accommodation. Different events are held, like Hackathon, Regalia, Behan, and sports like football and cricket. Seniors are also helpful. No ragging has happened here.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. Exams are not too hard; if students study properly, they can get 8+ CGPA. Students can become industry-ready for internships and jobs, and if you have top skills, then you can apply for top companies.
Other: The best thing about the course is that if you are not from a PCM background and you do BCA after 12th, then you can do MCA, which can be said to be equivalent to B.Tech. So you can take job roles such as Software Engineer, Data Scientist, or Cyber Security Expert.

Not that great of a college, but still, you can take admission if you missed the top colleges.
Placements: Placements are good until 2024 but dropped below average in 2025. I think in 2024, the average placements are 70-80%, with the median package being 3-4 LPA. However, in 2025, it dropped to 29% in my course (Information Technology). Usually, companies like Cognizant, Capgemini, and PwC come to our college for hiring. Placements are worse in branches like Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have a hostel, but you may get cheap PGs within walking distance from the college. The infrastructure is really bad. Although Wi-Fi is available to you all the time, 99% of the time it's 'connected no internet'. Our computer labs are running Ubuntu Linux, and still, those PCs manage to crash. Some do not even open. I don't have much experience with the library, it's not that big, but yes, it's fully AC. They have subscriptions to some magazines. Staff behavior is a little bit rude to students. There are two canteens, and both are bad.
Faculty: About the faculty, the Math department is one of the best, I would say in West Bengal, not just in our college. However, I can't say the same thing for other departments. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders from Jadavpur University or IIEST Shibpur. But the teaching quality is not up to the mark other than the Math department and maybe a few other teachers from the Physics department. (My experience is based on the first year as I dropped it after the first year). I am from the first autonomous batch, and it's quite easy to score good marks and pass the exam.
Other: The uniform policy which started with the new autonomous batch needs to be abolished. The college must undergo a massive infrastructure development. Creating some sitting places for students outside class is a must. Honestly, the crowd is good. I had friends who are quite good rankers in WBJEE. Many students in class are quite serious about their future, and a few were actually passionate about technology. They are participating in hackathons and creating projects. But some students were bad as well.

Limited TFW seats are also available. If you hardworking individual then it's best for you.
Placements: Eighty percent of students were placed in my course. The highest package is 14 Lacs per annum, and the lowest package is 4 Lacs per annum. The average package is 6 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, and Capgemini. Many students also secured internships at companies like Google, Amazon, and Microsoft.
Infrastructure: Here, many types of courses are available. Numerous facilities support each course. Each branch has a separate floor that is well organized, with all necessary labs located on the same floor for your course. Free Wi-Fi is available, and the library is excellent. All your requirements are ready there.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and have helped me a lot. Most faculty members are alumni of reputed and renowned institutions. The majority hold Ph.D. degrees, except for some teachers and lab technicians. The teachers are very helpful in preparing students for industry.

I am totally satisfied with my decision to choose this college.
Placements: This year, more than 70% of students are placed. The highest package is around 14 LPA, and the lowest package is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, Cognizant, and others. If you are dedicated, you will get an internship. Many of our seniors secure internships, so placement offers depend entirely on you.
Infrastructure: We have separate labs for each subject, and there is a designated floor for each department. We get professors who have strong knowledge in their fields. They teach carefully and also organize doubt-clearing sessions to help you understand better. Most teachers are friendly and approachable. Sorry, but we have no hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They teach us in a friendly manner and possess good knowledge of their subjects. They treat students like friends. The curriculum is designed to help you prepare effectively; it offers plenty of opportunities. Semester exams are moderate—not too difficult, not too easy.

Our college is good. Placement is good. Faculty members are good.
Placements: A maximum of 60% - 70% of students got placed from college. Maximum placement is 14 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA, approximately. B.M.C., Infosys, and Cognizant are top companies for visits and recruitment in our college. 50% of students got many internships. Many types of careers and types of courses are there.
Infrastructure: Our college has good facilities. But infrastructure is not so good. Library facilities are very good. Wi-Fi facilities are available here. We don't have hostel facility. Our college focuses on extracurricular activities like sports, and many types of games. Medical facilities are available here.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful, but their knowledge is not much better. There are many types of career guide courses, which make students industry-ready. Our semester exams are of a moderate type, and 40% is the passing percentage. Our college has good seniors, who help juniors and also teachers.
Other: In 2024, I started my B.Tech using WBJEE rank. Our B.Tech (CSE) was the most effective course at that time. Observing things has improved our course. Many types of events are there, like fresher, sports game events, technical events, yearly events, etc. Many types of scholarship facilities are available here, like SVMCM, Kannashree, Nsp, etc.
