Not that great of a college, but still, you can take admission if you missed the top colleges.
Placements: Placements are good until 2024 but dropped below average in 2025. I think in 2024, the average placements are 70-80%, with the median package being 3-4 LPA. However, in 2025, it dropped to 29% in my course (Information Technology). Usually, companies like Cognizant, Capgemini, and PwC come to our college for hiring. Placements are worse in branches like Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Infrastructure: The college doesn't have a hostel, but you may get cheap PGs within walking distance from the college. The infrastructure is really bad. Although Wi-Fi is available to you all the time, 99% of the time it's 'connected no internet'. Our computer labs are running Ubuntu Linux, and still, those PCs manage to crash. Some do not even open. I don't have much experience with the library, it's not that big, but yes, it's fully AC. They have subscriptions to some magazines. Staff behavior is a little bit rude to students. There are two canteens, and both are bad.
Faculty: About the faculty, the Math department is one of the best, I would say in West Bengal, not just in our college. However, I can't say the same thing for other departments. Most of the teachers are Ph.D. holders from Jadavpur University or IIEST Shibpur. But the teaching quality is not up to the mark other than the Math department and maybe a few other teachers from the Physics department. (My experience is based on the first year as I dropped it after the first year). I am from the first autonomous batch, and it's quite easy to score good marks and pass the exam.
Other: The uniform policy which started with the new autonomous batch needs to be abolished. The college must undergo a massive infrastructure development. Creating some sitting places for students outside class is a must. Honestly, the crowd is good. I had friends who are quite good rankers in WBJEE. Many students in class are quite serious about their future, and a few were actually passionate about technology. They are participating in hackathons and creating projects. But some students were bad as well.

RCC Institute of Information Technology - The emerging college in Kolkata.
Placements: Over 80 to 90% of students are placed each year across all the courses. The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA in 2024. The average salary package offered is 4.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Cognizant, TCS, Infosys, IBM, PwC, and Amazon. Over 70% of students get some sort of internships. Top roles offered in our course are assistant system engineer or junior consultant.
Infrastructure: College has its own high-speed Wi-Fi facility and all labs are well-maintained. Classrooms are large and spacious. Each classroom has projectors. Library also has all sorts of books, from study material to novels. The college does not have its own hostel. We need to reside in a PG near Beleghata or CIT, which are quite affordable at Rs 3500 - Rs 4000 monthly. Canteen is small but the food quality is satisfactory. College has its own medical body and also college is near Divine Hospital. Sports activities are finite due to the small campus.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Each of them have completed their Ph.D. They are also very helpful and provide us with important questions to prepare before the examination. Teaching quality is satisfactory. The curriculum is a bit old. It is changing as the college has got autonomous status. Now, we can prepare our own curriculum. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 50%.
Other: I have chosen this course because it has high rate of employability and provides good return on the money. More emphasis on coding and AI should be put into the course. The various events of RCCIIT are Game of Thrones (sports event) conducted in February-March, Tech Trix (teach event) taking place in February-March, Regalia (cultural event) taking place in June-July, and Bihaan (cultural event) taking place in September-October. The college is well connected as it is connected by metro. We can avail all scholarships approved by WB government.

RCCIT: All you need to know.
Placements: It offers a quite good package of an average of 6 Lacs per annum. The faculty members are quite good and friendly. Internship opportunities are quite good and can be achieved by skilling up.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good and there are a huge number of laboratories for each department. Students can study well in the classrooms with good connectivity of Wi-Fi on each floor. Overall the Infrastructure is quite good.
Faculty: The faculty is very good. Most of the faculty members are holding a Ph.D. degree. Students can learn a lot from them. They are very friendly. Students should study well and skill themselves up so that they can grab a good placement.

Placement is a big issue here, the placement officer tries to invite MNCs, but due to college reputation and other stuff, most of the MNCs ignore this college.

RCC Institute of Information Technology, Kolkata review.
Placements: The highest package for graduates of RCC Institute of Information Technology is 14 LPA, the lowest is 3.5 LPA, and the average package is between 4 and 4.5 LPA. Approximately 80-85% of graduates are placed, with many in the IT sector. Some graduates also find jobs in core engineering. Companies that have hired RCC graduates include PWC, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, IDM, Cognizant, TCS, and a few from Amazon.
Infrastructure: The wifi is well maintained and provides free access, which is useful for normal wifi usage. The sports facilities are below average, but there is a small ground available for tournaments and non-competitive sports. The college does not have a hostel, but there are many paying guest accommodations in the area that have awesome facilities and low rates. The college canteen makes awesome food, but it is small.
Faculty: The teachers at RCC are excellent. Most of them are former teachers at Jadhavpur University. The college is highly focused on academics and developing knowledge rather than extracurricular activities. As an autonomous college, it is relatively well-suited to meet the needs of industry. To pass a semester exam, the average amount of study time is required.
Other: I would suggest to go for IT rather than other branches (excluding CSE) in this college. It is the best branch here. The classrooms need improvement, such as the introduction of AC and smart boards. The college life needs improvement, and a great deal of improvement is needed in CCA, such as music and sports. The fest events are held, but the selection process is not up to the mark. If you are average in an event, you have to run after the seniors to secure your place.

The college is good, and I am satisfied with the quality education it provides.
Placements: 83 percent of students were placed from Information Technology. Highest 15 LPA. Lowest 3 LPA. Average 4.5 LPA. Amazon, JP Morgan and chase, Deloitte are the top companies. Almost 80% students got internship. Computer science engineering, information technology, ECE, EE.
Infrastructure: Entire college campus is wi-fi accessible campus with AC laboratory. Some classrooms are equipped with air conditioning and the entire library has seating facility and equipped with wifi. College hostel is not available, outside the college other mess pen guest facilities are available.
Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful. They are highly qualified professors in their respective field and have a core in depth knowledge. Teaching quality is outstanding. The college has became autonomous and it is focusing on industry oriented program. Semester exams is all about studying and getting concepts cleared. Pass percentage is quite good.
Other: I have chosen this course because I love to work on software related background. The college has multiple events from freshers to cultural fest, technical fest and so on. Scholarship facilities are available for which one should contact the college desk.

RCC institute of information technology, A great option for average students
Placements: The highest package placed by this college till now is 14 lakhs and the average placement is 4-5 lakhs. The attendance criteria is 75% but actually it's not that serious. 60% is enough that's allowed by the college. Infrastructure of this college is average, but it has a lift. Canteen is available. No hostel is there. Faculty and professors are strict leaving a few.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average, small playground, no hostel available, you have to take PG around which is easily available nearby. Canteen available, the food is average as expected by any other colleges. Library's available with AC. Classrooms are good containing projectors.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and experienced. Some of the professors are strict and put restrictions for students while some of the professors are really helpful and friendly. Courses are relevant and the placement are given according to the skills and marks you've scored.
Other: IT is a field which this college is relevant for, that's why I'm here choosing IT branch over any other. Simply as experienced academic students advises, you have to produce exceptional skills and development to get a good placement. Fests are there including games, cultural activities etc.

Very good faculty and nice infrastructure.
Placements: I've heard from seniors that the placement is nice. More than 95 percent students get placed. The average package is around 4-5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, etc. Maximum students got internships. Also, alumni help in the placement process by guiding us.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is nice. WiFi is available everywhere on both campuses. Though the speed is not very high, it's enough. Classrooms are spacious and big enough. There are projectors and smart boards available for certain rooms. Library service is excellent.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, highly qualified, and extraordinarily knowledgeable. The teaching style and quality are very student-friendly. This course curriculum is designed to make students industry-ready. Semester exams are designed to test that the student's knowledge and also the student following the classes properly or not.

First year BTech student review.
Placements: Placements are average since mostly TCS and Wipro hire through bulk hiring and there is no product-based company at all. The average CTC is 4.5 LPA this year, and the highest is 13 LPA. The percentage of placement is almost 90%, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Ninja, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: Most of the classrooms are also mostly known as labs. The Wi-Fi is barely working, the library is very small and it doesn't have lots of books, and the classroom doesn't have basic features like AC, a fan, or a light. The campus is very small, and there is no canteen. You have to eat from outside. The teachers don't really use any kind of computer, laptop, or anything. The teachers are not very friendly anymore, and they have some ego issues. They started telling the students to wear uniforms.
Faculty: Teachers are good. The course curriculum is not relevant, the passing percentage is 33%, and the semester exam is quite difficult. Recently, in my college, they introduced the CA 1 exam, which was not happening 1 year ago because of it being autonomous, and the exams are pretty much non-essential.
Other: I chose this course because I heard that this college is good in IT. The course should be more coding-oriented and not class 12th related.
