Go for it. Better college.
Placements: In our batch, around 60% of students were placed successfully through campus recruitment drives. Highest package offered was 8 LPA, while the lowest stood at 4 LPA, with an average package in between. Top recruiters included Tata, Infosys, and several other reputed companies. A good number of students also secured internships in well-known organizations, gaining industry exposure and hands-on experience. Roles offered mainly included positions in design, development, operations, and technical support, helping students build a strong career foundation.
Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent infrastructure and facilities for students. Labs are well-maintained with updated equipment for practical learning. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus as well as in the hostel. Library is spacious with a good collection of books and digital resources. Hostel facilities are comfortable with 24/7 Wi-Fi access. Mess provides decent food, medical facilities are available, and students are encouraged to take part in various sports and games with proper grounds and equipment provided. Overall, the facilities are student-friendly and supportive of both academic and extracurricular growth.
Faculty: Faculty in our course is very supportive, highly qualified, and knowledgeable, always ready to help students in both academics and projects. Curriculum is well-structured, updated, and relevant to industry needs, which helps in building practical as well as theoretical knowledge. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, focusing on both concepts and applications, and the overall pass percentage is quite high as students are well-prepared through regular classes and labs.

The teaching staff and faculty members are good here.
Placements: SGBIT offers moderate placement opportunities, especially for Computer Science and Electronics students. Top recruiters include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra, mainly offering roles in IT services. The highest package ranges from 8-10 LPA for a few, and the average salary package ranges between 3-4 LPA. Core branches like mechanical and civil see few placements, so students often pursue higher studies or off-campus jobs. The placement cell conducts training sessions, aptitude workshops, and coding contests to prepare students. Overall, placements are decent for proactive students but not guaranteed for all, especially in non-IT streams.
Infrastructure: The SGBIT campus is clean, peaceful, and equipped with basic facilities like smart classrooms, laboratories, a library, and a decent auditorium. The sports infrastructure supports cricket, volleyball, and indoor games. The hostel facilities are average, with shared rooms, Wi-Fi, laundry, and hot water. The food quality in the mess is basic and repetitive. The college canteen offers limited but affordable food options. Hostel life is safe and moderately comfortable, though not luxurious. Overall, the infrastructure supports academics and basic living needs well. It does not offer the premium feel of larger universities. Students find the campus peaceful and conducive to learning.
Faculty: SGBIT faculty members are a mix of experienced and young professors, particularly strong in the Computer Science and Electronics departments. Teaching is supportive but sometimes theoretical, following the VTU curriculum. The syllabus covers basics but needs updating for emerging teaching trends like AI and cloud computing. Exams follow the VTU pattern, with two internal assessments and a final semester exam. Internal marks come from tests, labs, and assignments. The difficulty level of exams is moderate. Students who engage in practical learning through projects and internships benefit most. Overall, the academic environment encourages learning but requires student initiative for in-depth skill development.

The college course is much better than other courses.
Placements: 50% of students get placed in this course. The highest package in our course is 6 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The top roles offered in this course are many like IT fields. The percentage of students who get internships in our course is 90% in private companies.
Infrastructure: It feels better to learn and fresh to leave the college to learn something which will be useful in this course. The hostel is good to stay in without any problems. It serves good food. We can live in the hostel without any disturbance or any irrelevance.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They are qualified for this course. They are very knowledgeable about this course. Their teaching quality is very much better. They make us ready for the industry work and earn according to the course.

Great curriculum and practical learning, with good infrastructure and room for improvement.
Placements: In our batch at SGBIT, approximately 60-70% of students got placed. The highest package offered is 8.5 LPA. The lowest salary is around 3.9 LPA. The average salary is 4.4 LPA. Top recruiters included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Mindtree, and IBM. Around 70% of students secured internships, with roles like AI architect, data scientist, and ML engineer. The placement cell actively coordinated campus and pool drives to enhance industry readiness.
Infrastructure: The AI and data science department at SG Balekundri Institute of Technology has excellent labs with the latest software and high-speed Wi-Fi. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors and smart boards. The library is well-stocked with books and online resources. Hostel facilities are good, with clean rooms and 24X7 security. The mess food is decent. The canteen offers more variety. Sports facilities include a basketball court and indoor games. Medical facilities are available with a clinic on campus, ensuring students' well-being.
Faculty: Teachers in the AI and data science department are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. The teaching quality is good, with a focus on practical application. Course curriculum is relevant and aligned with industry needs, ensuring that students are well-prepared for their careers. Semester exams are moderately difficult, requiring consistent study and understanding of concepts. The pass percentage is around 85%. The faculty members provide ample support to help students succeed.
Other: I chose the AI and data science course because of its relevance in today's tech-driven world and its potential for career growth. The best things about the course are the practical learning opportunities, industry-relevant curriculum, and the scope for research. However, I wish there were more hands-on projects and better exposure to real-world applications. Campus has a lively crowd, and events like tech fests provide excellent networking opportunities. Connectivity is good, with decent transport options. The campus surroundings are peaceful, and ideal for studying. Scholarships and extracurricular activities are encouraged, though there could be more options for sports.

It is a very good college with no regrets after taking admission. The infrastructure is very good.
Placements: The percentage of placement in my batch was 30%, but in other batches like EC and CSE, it was more than 70%. In my batch, everyone had to do an internship, it was mandatory, and students had to decide where to do it. I did my internship at AEC company. One girl named Priyadarshni was selected by Prism RMC company, and her package was 3.2 LPA.
Infrastructure: For my course, everything was available. There were labs for every subject, and the library and books were also available. Wi-Fi was free for online study. We had hostels for both girls and boys, and there was also Wi-Fi and a study room. The food in the hostel was good, they made a different menu every day in the hostel mess.
Faculty: The teaching quality was very good, and there were many teaching staff for every subject. Teachers were very helpful, and they helped students in clearing their doubts. The semester exams were not very tough because the teachers cleared every doubt of students, and the passing percentage was more than 82%.
Other: I chose this course because I loved to solve difficulties, and there were many challenges in my course. In my college, we organized 3 to 5 events or fests every year, and they were amazing. Recently, a Raghu Dixit event was organized in our college.

Lasting fun during college, which will always be remembered.
Placements: Very few, 20 to 25, that’s it, in the previous year where students were placed. The highest package offered was 9 Lacs, and the minimum package was 2 Lacs. Only 5 percent of students were placed in the previous year. Many had taken internships from the college itself, which were paid internships of 2k.
Infrastructure: The hostel food is not up to mark. The remaining facilities, like hostel rooms and all, are cleaned regularly. Washrooms and all are a little not up to the mark. Labs, classes, and libraries are all available at the college itself. The study table is provided in the hostel room, that’s it.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are good if the students attend the classes regularly. The quality of teaching is also good. Many other activities are also done, and fests are held regularly, etc. The semester exams are conducted by VTU itself, so they are a little different compared to internals.
