SMS Medical College is a top class medical college in Rajasthan.
Placements: There are no direct placement at the college level after doing MBBS. You can get a job in hospital after MBBS. After MBBS completion through NEET PG exams for MD or MS courses, you can get placements with good packages. One year of internship after MBBS is mandatory. After completing 4.5 years of MBBS. There is a one year mandatory internship in a hospital affiliated with the college.
Infrastructure: College has a good infrastructure with a large area, but there is no girls hostel inside the campus. Only a boys hostel inside the campus. Colleges have libraries, sports grounds, clubs, Wi-Fi, and a campus. Hostel facility is good. There are different hostels for girls and boys with two or three sharing rooms, but the quality is average.
Faculty: The faculty members are undoubtedly highly qualified medical professionals who are also highly talented doctors. MBBS courses and curriculum are designed by the National Medical Council. Examination system is both annual and semester. MBBS curriculum does not make the students industrial ready. It helps us to become good doctor.
Other: If you want to become a doctor, then MBBS is a basic and mandatory degree, so I chose this course. SRIJAN is the name of the annual fest of our college. Students quiz and sports tournaments are held regularly.

Exceptional clinical exposure, supportive faculty, and strong academics at SMS, Jaipur.
Placements: SMS Medical College offers 100% internship placements at SMS Hospital, one of India's busiest government hospitals. While MBBS doesn't have traditional placements, students gain exceptional clinical exposure and go on to crack NEET, PG, INI, CET, USMLE, and more. Most become junior residents, MS, or pursue PG studies. The academic atmosphere, experienced faculty, and hands-on training make SMS a top choice. Graduates also join top government services or reputed private hospitals post-PG. The college blends academic excellence with real-world medical experience, shaping students into skilled and confident doctors. SMS truly lives up to its reputation.
Infrastructure: SMS Medical College offers excellent infrastructure. Well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, a central library with vast resources, and campus-wide Wi-Fi. The hospital complex is massive, with state-of-the-art ICUs, OTs, and diagnostic facilities for hands-on learning. Hostels are decent, with clean rooms and 24/7 security. The mess food is average but hygienic; canteens offer a better variety. The campus has good medical facilities, with emergency care always accessible. There are also sports grounds for cricket, football, and badminton, promoting a balanced student life. Overall, SMS provides all the essential facilities needed for both academic and personal growth.
Faculty: The faculty at SMS Medical College is highly qualified, experienced, and approachable. Most professors are senior doctors with years of clinical and teaching expertise. The MBBS curriculum follows NMC guidelines and is updated, with strong emphasis on both theory and clinical skills, making students well-prepared for PG exams and real-world practice. Teaching quality is excellent, with regular lectures, practicals, and clinical postings. Semester exams are moderately tough but manageable with consistent study. The pass percentage is high, as most students clear exams with good effort. The overall academic environment is competitive, yet supportive and enriching.

Great infrastructure, skilled faculty, strong clinical training, vibrant fest, and decent hostel.

Review of the MBBS course and infrastructure at SMS Medical College.
Placements: We need to complete 4.5 years of MBBS and 1 year of compulsory internship from the college. After that, we can appear for the Medical Officer exam or the NEET PG examination. In NEET PG, we have approximately 750 seats in SMS Medical College. We have all branches in our college.
Infrastructure: College recently built a new academic block for the lecture theatre. Lecture theatre is big, we all 250 students of one batch can sit in one lecture theatre. Different labs are made for different departments on different floors, like hematology, physiology, and anatomy labs for 1st year MBBS students. 2 libraries are available for reading. There is one new library, "Bansal Library", made by SMS alumni. There are 3 hostels available, named SK Menon, Kothari, and SBH. All the hostels have a separate canteen and mess. There are 5 mess available in UG hostel and 3 canteens available for breakfast. The food quality is okay.
Faculty: Our teachers are the best in our state. All the faculty posts are full, with no vacant seat for professors like in other colleges. The teaching quality is good. The teachers prepare slides and display them in the lecture theaters. The MBBS course is of 4.5 years, divided into 4 semesters. In every semester, there are 2 internal examinations, a PUC and one UC exam is conducted. Out of 250 students, only 5 to 10 students fail an exam, and they need to reappear in the next exam.
Other: I chose this course because there are good opportunities for the job after MBBS. There is a shortage of doctors in India. This profession is also very respectable. We need to improve the MBBS course by adding more clinical activity, because clinical classes are not so serious. In our college, every year, one of the big fests is organized called Srijan. Many games, dance, singing, and a DJ night are available.

College is good. I'm satisfied with this college as I'm a day scholar so it's good for me.
Placements: At SMS Medical College, there is a batch of 250 students per year and they are selected through NEET (national eligibility cum entrance test) exam. There are no placements based on college directly. After we pass MBBS we have to pass either NEET PG exam to pursue post-graduation or Medical Officer exam to be posted in a government hospital as an MBBS doctor.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is pretty good. There are proper labs for every subject with full equipment and classrooms are fully air-conditioned with a projector for PPTs. There is one library and one reading hall, both provide space for students to study. There are three types of hostels in SMS Medical College for boys, and these are nearby and have separate canteens and a common sports area. SK Menon Hostel (normal hostel with old infrastructure), Senior boys hostel (single rooms available), and Kothari Hostel (premium boys hostel but only given to toppers).
Faculty: There is a good faculty team for every subject, supported by good numbers of junior and senior residents and they are well qualified and knowledgeable. After this course, we directly became doctors and it's the only course by which we can become a proper doctor. Semester exams are quite easy. Pass percentage is 50% which we can score very easily if we study normally.
Other: Annual event of this college is called Srijan, and the college is at the center of the city and easily accessible. There is an indoor sports complex and a proper gym.
