A good last resort but lacks design culture and a creative environment. Poor selection criteria.
Placements: A total of 200 credits is required to sit for placements. Design students get placements based on their portfolio and skills. The harder you work the better off you are. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Dell, Infosys, and Cent. The highest package is 14 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are quite average. There is a lack of design culture which is not visibly seen. The labs and workshops for the course are decent like Material, Thermacol, and digital labs. Classrooms lack a studio feel, Wi-Fi issues, and an accessible library. Food expectations can't be high as medical facilities are provided only on weekends and at night. The emergencies are taken care of. Various sports facilities and tournaments are conducted. There are no dedicated zones except the field.
Faculty: Faculty are alumni of renowned institutions in India. They are well qualified, have strong intent, and are quite helpful. The course curriculum is relevant but it is a bit time-consuming for what is provided. Students are made industry-ready. Also an industry visit is organised for the students. End-semester exams are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 35 percent.
