B.Tech. in Biotechnology - Batch of 2026

Great infrastructure and faculty, but placement support needs major improvement.
Placements: 50% of students who are going for jobs and all are placed, some went for masters. The companies who showed up have good packages, and companies like Panacea Biotech, Merck, Chimera Biotech, and Thisti. These are the companies which came for the placement.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good and the whole cleanliness of the college is maintained 24/7. Labs are equipped with high-tech faculty members. Hotels are also very good and the food provided in the mess is good. As for games a lot of area has been dedicated to it.
Faculty: Although the curriculum of our college needs a little bit of turning, overall because of the faculty of biotechnology and those amazing professors life at Manav Rachna is easy, exams and everything goes smoothly. Somewhat the curriculum makes the students industry-ready but you'll have to build yourself as well.
Other: The crowd of Manav Rachna is good, some students are there who are not very friendly behaving and all but all the colleges have one or two students like them, as for the security of the students it's fantastic. The teachers are very cooperative if you visit the teacher students are their priority, and event life at Manav Rachna is very happening. I participated in many competitions and won and I enjoyed all of them. Scholarship is based on the percentage of what you've scored in 12th or some other scheme as well.

The college is not at all worth the money.
Placements: About 50% of students get placed. The highest salary can go up to 10 LPA, while the average placement is around 2.5 to 3.5 LPA. Not all companies focus on teaching; most are just small companies unrelated to education, and even TCS and Infosys do not visit here. No one gets internships; there were 2 students who secured off-campus internships at Adobe and Google in their 2nd year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is poor. In classrooms, you will find wooden benches and one class can have 60 to 65 students crammed into a very small space. The benches are not sufficient for everyone; if all students attend on the same day, half of them will not get a seat. The Wi-Fi is non-existent and never works. Labs are similarly just for namesake; in computer labs, many computers do not work, and in the chemistry lab, you will only be given a few experiments to perform, and typically just one reading, merely to show that you have done something. There is no good canteen, and the sports facilities are lacking.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and all are assistant professors. They are somewhat knowledgeable but provide average teaching, so do not expect a lot; a few teachers are great. Don’t rely on the course curriculum, as it is cut short, and DSA is taught not practically but through rote learning. Nothing in the course will make you industry-ready. There are many exams; you will first take 2 sessionals within a one-month gap, a viva in between, and then a week of final viva and final exams. There is no time for any self-study. To pass, you need 40 percent in total.
Other: I chose this college because I thought it was close to my home and that I could study DSA on my own. Now that I know there is no free time, if there were fewer exams, we would have more time for important things. There are many small events, but no one is interested in them in the hot weather of Faridabad. Sometimes there are fests, but they occur on extremely hot days, and usually outside. There is nothing on campus, although there is a Suraj Kund Mela nearby around February. The nearest metro station is 20 minutes.

Good ROI for a private college, dissatisfied by the crowd.
Placements: Almost 100% students are placed with the companies who sit for the campus placements. Companies like Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, etc. visit for recruiting candidates. The CGPA to be maintained to sit for placements is 6.5, although some good companies may have their own cutoff. The average package in CSE is 8-9 LPA and the highest being 57 LPA is pretty solid for a private college.
Infrastructure: Libraries, labs, and classrooms are very well structured and maintained, the campus is very beautiful and full of greenery. The 2-seater hostels are also very comfortable and worth living in, but the hostel fees are too high (₹218,500 for one year for AC). The mess food is very bad, distasteful, and repetitive, which is a big minus point.
Faculty: Maximum faculty are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are also helpful if you have some genuine reason to not attend college, they even re-explain the topic sometimes if you genuinely want to study. There are 3 exams in one semester (2 midsems and one endsem). Midsems of 30 marks are extremely easy as maximum questions are from pre-given assignments, the endsem might be comparatively harder, but studying can fetch good marks.
Other: I had a lot of curiosity in data science and recommendation algorithms, thus I chose this course. It is also one of the most well-doing in the job field in this college as the highest package is from this course itself. The coding culture in the college is not that good but startup culture is very much there, even the college funds ₹2.5 lac rupees if they find the idea to be doing good in the industry. Only one fest is conducted every year around October (Resurrection).

MRIIRS is a good option for students.
Placements: Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies has a mixed placement record, with some students reporting positive experiences and others expressing disappointment. The highest salary package offered ranges from 51 LPA to 119 LPA, depending on the course and year. Average salary packages range from 4 LPA to 8 LPA. Placement percentages vary across courses, with some reporting 80% to 100% placement rates. Top recruiters include IT and technology companies like TCS, HCL, Infosys, Wipro, Google, and Microsoft, finance and banking companies like HDFC and American Express, and other companies like Nokia, Qss, Amazon Web Services, and Plato.
Infrastructure: There’s a review of the infrastructure for my course and hostel at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. The infrastructure for my course includes classrooms that are air-conditioned, spacious, and well-maintained. They are equipped with modern teaching aids like projectors, smart boards, and audio-visual equipment. Labs are well-equipped with the latest equipment and software relevant to my course. The lab assistants are helpful and supportive. The library is well-stocked, with a vast collection of books, journals, and online resources. The library is spacious and quiet, providing a conducive environment for studying.
Faculty: There’s a review of the faculty, curriculum, and exams for my course at Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies. The faculty members are experienced and highly qualified, with many holding Ph. D.s from top universities. Faculty members use a combination of traditional and modern teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, case studies, and project-based learning. Faculty members are approachable, supportive, and available to answer questions and provide guidance. The curriculum is well-structured, relevant, and aligned with industry needs.
Other: Our college organizes a big fest every year called Resurrection, with a star night included in the fest.

Our college provides decent placements.
Placements: Around 30-40% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 4 LPA - 6 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiters like Capgemini, Accenture, Cognizant, and HCL. Top roles offered are software development, data engineering, and cloud computing engineering. The placement process is decent but cracking the interview requires strong and logical skills. Strong coding, aptitude plus DSA. 75% of academic scores can be a good point for top companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well maintained. Our college provides separate departments for faculty members. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. Labs and classrooms are very well maintained. A gym is available on the campus. We have huge Libraries. Classrooms have smart boards. Computer labs are well maintained. The food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are all PhDs. They are well qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The percentage criteria to be eligible for exam is 75% attendance. That is something we have to be careful about. Otherwise it is not difficult to pass the semester exam exams.

Outdated and irrelevant engineering curriculum.
Placements: Placement record was around 80-85% in Manav Rachna University and mostly everyone got placed on onsite placement drive. The issue was with the quality of the jobs offered and the salary packages. The average salary offered for engineering students was 4.2 LPA and the highest reaching 10.5 LPA. Companies like HCL, coforge private limited, Amadeus solutions, TCS come for placement drives. I got an offer to join coforge as a technical analyst with a probation period of 3 months. The stipend offered during probation was 15000 and after that a salary of 4.3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Library at Manav is the main attraction of the entire campus. It is a world class library and has all kinds of reading material from fiction, None fiction to curriculum related books. Also the library is open 24/7 and has a free Wi-Fi available for all the students. The library staff is friendly and helps out in borrowing and returning books using your college ID Hostel is a bit expensive to live in with a yearly rent of 55000 including the food and furnitured and sharing rooms. The mess food is not upto the mark to be honest. It is quite land and sometimes hygienic. Everyone I know who stays in the hostel preferred food from the canteen or dhaba outside the campus.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and knowledgeable about the subject they were teaching but the course curriculum was completely outdated. For engineering students, they taught C and C+ for 3 semesters straight and gave very little importance to javascript and python in the course. Whereas both javascript and python are the programming languages used in most IT/teach companies. So the course had very little relevance to the market demands. Passing percentage was 40 and we used to have exams at the end of each semester. Also there was a fee of 1500 to be paid by the student to appear in supplimentary exams if they were not able to pass.
Other: The society events and the college fest - resurrection was the best part about the college. It was a grand event held over 3 days and a lot of popular DJ's like nikhil chinappa used to host the event. I chose to do B. Teach (CSE) because there is a huge demand for IT software engineers in the market and also the teach industry is the most highly paying industry. But I was disappoint with the course overall because it was outdated and not in sync with industry demands. Also the examination were not challenging at all and did not push and test my limits. There should be more focus given on the quality of the course content and make it relevant so that students can use the learning in their actual workplaces.
