DIT Dehradun Placements 2026: Highest Package, Average Package, Top Recruiters

As per the latest research on external sources, we have found that DIT Deradun alumni are placed in top national and multinational companies such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, EY, KPMG, etc. They work in various sectors such as Engineering, Operations, Business Development, Marketing, Sales and more. Of all the sectors, 37% of alumni work in the Engineering sector. Additionally, 15% and 12% of alumni work in the IT and Business Development sectors. As per the School of Computing placement report, the placement rate recorded for the School was 90% in 2024. The highest and median package offered was 58 LPA and 6 LPA in 2024. 250 companies visited the campus as well. 

DIT Dehradun MCA placement report is not released. However, School of Computing placement report 2024 is released. As per the report, the highest package offered was 58 LPA whereas the mean package was 6.6 LPA. 

DIT University offers direct admission in BTech course to Class 12 Board Toppers. The university offers admission directly in 10% seats. Applicants are also shortlisted for BTech based on their JEE Main rank.

The total tuition fees for BDes is INR 3.8 Lacs - INR 5.5 lakh at DIT University. The lower amount is for BDes UI/ UX. For all other BDes specialisations, amount is same. Students with 90% and above or are first rank holders of all boards can get 20% scholarship. Those with 75%-90% in Class 12 are offered 10% scholarship.

The total tuition fee of MBA is INR 4.8 lakh to INR 6.5 lakh. Other fee component, include academic services fee to be paid along with the tuition fee. The academic service fee will be paid in all the semesters. A concession in tuition fee is given to candidates taking admission through Uttarakhand/ Himalayan State Quota. The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants are shortlisted for UG programmes except BTech based on their merit. Admission in PG-level courses, such as MCA, MA, MSc is merit-based. Candidates can get admission in these courses without passing any entrance exam.

The selection to MBA course is based on MAT/ XAT/ CAT/ CMAT/ UKSEE. Candidates who have not appeared for any of the entrance exam can appear for DUET conducted by the university. The shortlisted aspirants need to come for GDPI round. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

DIT University BTech tuition fee ranges from INR 4.1 lakh to INR 10.3 lakh. The components included in the DIT University fee structure are hostel fees, tuition fees, and one-time fee. Students have to pay admission fee or the first semester fee to confirm seats.

Aspirants must fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission to a BSc course at DIT University. As per the official website, the common eligibility criteria are Class 12 or equivalent pass in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (As per chosen specialisation) as mandatory subjects with at least 50% aggregate. In addition, students should have passed in English as well. The qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised board.

Yes, along with the CUET UG score, DIT Dehradun also select students based on JEE Main and on the merit of Class 12. On-campus admission counselling is conducted by the university, for which 25% of seats are reserved for Uttarakhand candidates who have scored 95% or above in Class 12. Direct admission is possible in this case, and a 25% Scholarship will be given on tuition fees.

BTech is a four-year course offered at the UG level at DIT University. The specialisations, include Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil, Electronics & Communication, etc. Aspirants must pass Class 12 with specific subjects to apply for BTech. Admission is based on JEE Main rank or Class 12 scores of the candidates.

The steps are given below to apply for DIT University. Follow the procedure via the official DIT University Admission Portal to apply using your scores:

1. Create an account on the portal and pay the application fee of INR 1,250-1,500.

2. Upload official CUET UG scorecard details once declared by NTA.

3. Check the website's notification section for course-specific cutoff announcements.

DIT University has a fee refund policy in place as per UGC norms. Students have to officially withdraw admission to initiate a refund. Table given below shows fee refund (%) along with timeline details:

Candidates must have studied Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology to apply for BCA at DIT University. Hence, Mathematics is not compulsory. Students who have studied any of the specified subjects can apply. Aspirants who did not study any of these subjects need to do a compulsory bridge course in the first year of study.

Top 10% students in each UG course can continue their merit scholarship based on their CGPA obtained in each complete year at DIT University. Students should maintain a CGPA of 6 and above every year without any back paper, UFM and indiscipline case. Below is the criteria:

Full-time PhD scholarships who have qualified NET/ GATE get a stipend of INR 16,000 per month towards Teaching and Research Associateship as per the availability of teaching positions at DIT University. Aspirants who pass DUET for admission in PhD with 60% or more are eligible to get INR 10,000 per month as stipend towards Teaching and Research Associateship.

Aspirants do not have appear for any entrance exam for admission in BDes course of DIT University. The selection is purely based on merit. Candidates need to pass Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate for admission.
