Q:   How costly is FET MRIIRS?
A:

The cost of education at FET MRIIRS (Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies) depends on several factors such as the specific program, type of course (undergraduate or postgraduate), residency status, and any scholarships or financial aid received. It's a good college if you want to enjoy your college life.
Placements: The placements here are very good. The highest package this year was around 58 LPA, which was on campus only. This time, Google and Microsoft were also there. Almost 85% of students were placed on the campus. Wipro was the main highlight this time.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are top notch and also the Wi-Fi is very good and connectivity is very good, labs are fully air conditioned and well maintained, classrooms are SMART board equipped and library have more tha 2000 books which is very nice.
Faculty: Teachers are decent here. If you have any doubts, they will for sure help you, but only when they are free. Teachers are well-educated and qualified. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes the student industry-ready. Exams are hard to pass.

Satisfied with faculty members, facilities, infrastructure, and placement.
Placements: Our college offers good placement. It has well-managed interview grounds. Companies such as Microsoft, Adobe, HP, etc., are some of the recruitment companies that come for campus placement. At least, 2 rounds of interviews are conducted by placement companies in batches.
Infrastructure: Our college provides well-maintained and structured labs, classroom, library, and overall Wi-Fi is available on campus. Our college has eco-friendly environment. It is highly maintained and hygienic. Quality of food available in the hostel, mess, and canteen is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful, well-qualified, knowledgeable, and quite experienced in teaching. Faculty members are quite supportive. The course curriculum is highly relevant, and makes students industry-ready by providing internship opportunities before placement.

Outdated and irrelevant engineering curriculum.
Placements: Placement record was around 80-85% in Manav Rachna University and mostly everyone got placed on onsite placement drive. The issue was with the quality of the jobs offered and the salary packages. The average salary offered for engineering students was 4.2 LPA and the highest reaching 10.5 LPA. Companies like HCL, coforge private limited, Amadeus solutions, TCS come for placement drives. I got an offer to join coforge as a technical analyst with a probation period of 3 months. The stipend offered during probation was 15000 and after that a salary of 4.3 LPA.
Infrastructure: Library at Manav is the main attraction of the entire campus. It is a world class library and has all kinds of reading material from fiction, None fiction to curriculum related books. Also the library is open 24/7 and has a free Wi-Fi available for all the students. The library staff is friendly and helps out in borrowing and returning books using your college ID Hostel is a bit expensive to live in with a yearly rent of 55000 including the food and furnitured and sharing rooms. The mess food is not upto the mark to be honest. It is quite land and sometimes hygienic. Everyone I know who stays in the hostel preferred food from the canteen or dhaba outside the campus.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful and knowledgeable about the subject they were teaching but the course curriculum was completely outdated. For engineering students, they taught C and C+ for 3 semesters straight and gave very little importance to javascript and python in the course. Whereas both javascript and python are the programming languages used in most IT/teach companies. So the course had very little relevance to the market demands. Passing percentage was 40 and we used to have exams at the end of each semester. Also there was a fee of 1500 to be paid by the student to appear in supplimentary exams if they were not able to pass.
Other: The society events and the college fest - resurrection was the best part about the college. It was a grand event held over 3 days and a lot of popular DJ's like nikhil chinappa used to host the event. I chose to do B. Teach (CSE) because there is a huge demand for IT software engineers in the market and also the teach industry is the most highly paying industry. But I was disappoint with the course overall because it was outdated and not in sync with industry demands. Also the examination were not challenging at all and did not push and test my limits. There should be more focus given on the quality of the course content and make it relevant so that students can use the learning in their actual workplaces.

You can take admission if you don't get admission in the top government colleges.
Placements: Manav Rachna College offers decent placement opportunities for students, especially in core engineering, IT, and management domains. Over the years, college has partnered with several reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and HCL. The highest packages generally range between 8 LPA - 12 LPA for select candidates, while the average salary package is around 3.5 LPA - 4.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are well-maintained and rooms are of adequate size. Security is maintained 24X7. They also have a sports ground for football and cricket.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced and supportive. Most professors hold post-graduate or doctoral degrees, and have many industrial exposures. Question papers are a fair mixture of theoretical and application-based problems, although a stronger emphasis on learning still persists in some subjects.

My learnings during the four years of engineering at Manav Rachna.
Placements: The maximum students placed in my college was around half of the total strength. The highest package at that time was around 1 LPA, mostly from small IT companies. Most students from the ME branch did internships at JBM Motors, Gurugram, for Graduate Engineer Trainee jobs.
Infrastructure: The labs in our department had good working equipment where practicals could be performed easily. The college library was excellent, having all varieties of books for any branch. I didn't have any problems in searching for books in the library. The library has full Wi-Fi and is air-conditioned. Classrooms were normal, having air conditioning facilities. I didn't stay at the hostel; therefore, I didn't have much idea about it.
Faculty: Teachers were beneficial and highly qualified to teach us. They completed the syllabus in the given time. The course curriculum was totally relevant and aligned with the industry, as industrial visits often took place. Semester exams were mildly challenging, requiring students to study to pass. There were sessional exams held twice, and the average marks of those two sessionals were added to the final result.
Other: I chose the mechanical engineering course as it was industry-integrated, where we were also taught the insights of industrial work along with theoretical knowledge. I wish there were more insights into industrial knowledge, although the course did make us aware of many things about the industry. There were two times when fests were held in our four years of college. The fests were fabulous in both those years. The campus crowd was amazing, as it had both outside and local students. There were extracurricular activities named Zenith, which was a quiz held. I also got first prize in that quiz.

Inside the college: an honest review.
Placements: About 20–25 percent of students get placed from college. The highest package is about 60 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, Infogains, and TCS. The highest salary offered in my course was 50 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure at my college are good. The classrooms and library are centrally air-conditioned, and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The college has four libraries with a wide variety of resources. The hostel facilities are also very good, and the college promotes sports and games with coaching for different games.
Faculty: The faculty in my college are qualified and knowledgeable, and the teaching quality is good. We had no problems with the teaching quality. The exams are not too hard or too easy. My previous semester percentage was 80 marks out of 200.
Other: I'm a student at this college, pursuing a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science Engineering. This course is in high demand these days, and this college is well-known for offering it. However, the teaching methods need improvement, and some rules need to be replaced. On the plus side, the college hosts various events throughout the year, such as Sun, Carnival, and an annual fest, which help boost student confidence.

Explore aspects other than academics - There is no real pressure during the initial days of college and this time should be used to get your hands dirty in diverse activities of interest. Join a society, volunteer, cultivate a new hobby, start a blog, learn a new language - do anything worthwhile with your time. Learn to code even if your from a branch that doesn't involve coding.
