A:

Greetings,

To get into the BSc programme at Symbiosis School of Economics SET is required.

Eligibility: You should have passed your 12th grade or equivalent exam from a recognised board with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). If you're aiming for the Honours with Research option, you need a CGPA of 7.5 or higher by the end of Semester-6.

  3. For multiple entry options, rules follow the university's Lateral Entry Rules for FYUG Programmes.

Best regards,

Q:   What is the difficulty level of SET (Symbiosis Entrance Test)?
A:

SET is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses. SET 2026 will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. The difficulty level of the SET exam is usually easy to moderate. But, a few questions might trick your mind and can be time-consuming.

General Knowledge and Analytical and Logical Reasoning are easier than the Quantitative Aptitude section. In 2025, according to the students who appeared for the SET session 1 exam, the SET exam was moderate. The General English section was the easiest of all four sections. The Quantitative Aptitude section was the toughest, and the other two sections were moderate to easy. The overall difficulty level of the SET question paper was moderate. Students who appeared for the SET 2025 session 2 exam said that the overall difficulty level was easy. Again, the General English section was the easiest. In this session, the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section was also easy to moderate. The Quant section was easy to moderate, and the General Knowledge section was difficult.

Q:   Does Symbiosis School of Economics accept SET score?
A:

Yes, Symbiosis school of economics accepts SET scores for admission to its B.Sc and M.Sc programs. Admission is against qualifying the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), Writing Ability Test (WAT) and presonal interaction (PI). Interested candidates who have completed their +2 education with a minimum of 50 percentage aggregate marks and for SC/ST categoiries it is 45 percentage are eligible to apply through the SET exam. The SET exam serves as an essential gateway for aspiring students to secure admission to SSE and other affiliated instutions within the Symbiosis international (Deemed university) network.

Overall, the college is moderate. The study here is average, like all Greater Noida colleges.
Placements: Almost 20 percent of students got placements, I think, which is very low compared to other colleges. The highest package is around 12 LPA, I think, and the average package is 4 LPA, which is very low compared to the fees they are charging us for 4 years. Infosys-type companies hire students from our college. I don't even think that even 1 percent of students get internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good. It has a very old computer lab, and we will not even see it until the 3rd or 4th semester. It doesn't have a hostel for B.Tech students, and it only has a hostel for medical students, which means they will give us a hostel outside the campus, which is very bad. I am currently living in it.
Faculty: Teachers are very old. They don't have knowledge of current technology, and they are just teaching basic things. We have to do everything on our own. The course doesn't make us industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate. They don't ask much in exams because I think they themselves want students to pass the exams.
Other: The college campus is good, and we will see greenery everywhere.

Overall, the college is average, not so good, and not so bad.
Placements: Placements of this college are average with a package that ranges from 5-6 LPA. The highest package is around 30 LPA. Internships are good in this college. If we work a little hard, then we can easily get internships. Mostly, mass recruiters visit this college, like TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good, but it does not offer hostels inside the campus to engineering students. The hostel available inside the campus is only for medical or MBBS students. It is tied up with other local PGs and then gives us a hostel. The on-campus hostel would have been better.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and friendly as well. They all are cooperative. The course curriculum is a bit not updated. They still follow the old course like NITs, which is in the first year. We have to study electrical engineering, and all of it should be updated.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to become an engineer. I chose this college because of its budget friendliness. They should update the curriculum like VIT or CU. Fests organised are good, and it is not too far from the city.

It is one of the best universities for Computer Science, and you feel satisfied with facilities.
Placements: On website, you can check 100% placements of college, but there are no internships. By the way, they provide a special annual lecture to get extra skills, to get an internship, and placement. On basis of my knowledge, IBM and TCS were invited for placement.
Infrastructure: Noida International University is like its name, its infrastructure is great. You have to visit at one time, you love the environment of campus. There is NIMS Hospital, which is tied up with Niu. There are 500 patients per day. Sports department has high facilities for students.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-educated and too cooperative. They share their own journey with us, which makes us feel they are helpful and highly qualified. There are industry visits for students to get industrial-level knowledge. And I am in 5th semester, all courses are too useful.
Other: I chose this course because I was too influenced by computer Science from secondary level education, so I decided to give my own contribution to computer Science field.

Not so good, but it's fine.
Placements: My course is B.Teach in the School of Engineering and Technology. 70% of the students get placements. The average package is around 5LPA. Top recruiting companies for our courses are Max Healthcare, SpiceJet, Paytm, HDFC Bank, JustDial, and others.
Infrastructure: When we talk about infrastructure, the classrooms are satisfactory. We do have Wi-Fi facilities available. The labs need improvement as they require updates to the computers. I don’t live in the university hostel; I reside at Annapurna Hostel, which has a tie-up with NIU.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is quite good, and they are well-trained. The exams are neither too tough nor too easy; they are moderate and designed accordingly. There should be more industrial visits to guest expos, so that it will help us later in our working field.

My university fee is lower but they have good faculty members.
Placements: In my course, average 60 to 70% of students are placed. The highest package ranges from 19 LPA to 20 LPA. The minimum package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, HCL, Infosys, Birlasoft, Samsung, Google, and Capgemini. 75% of students got internships. Top role offered in CSE is AI data science cybersecurity.
Infrastructure: University has good labs. Classrooms are good. There is a library with full area of Wi-Fi coverage. We have high standard infrastructure. For B.Tech students, they have no hostel on campus. Hostels are available only MBBS students on campus. We have good canteen and medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is also good. Course curriculum is not too much relevant and they can not make you ready for the industry. Semester exams are not too much hard, and passing percentage is 33%.
Other: They conduct regular events and fests. I chose this course because my father wanted to me become an engineer.

Really good infrastructure but they should work on management staff. Placements are decent.
Placements: I would like to tell everyone that this university is improving day by day as we all know that it is not a very old university. Compared with last year's placements, this year they got boom in placements in technology and management sector. The best thing about this university is that the crowd is limited as compared to Galgotias University. Due to the crowd, everyone can not get placements in this college. They give internships to 100% of students in companies like IBM. Placements are based on student's performance in academics.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is outstanding, like foreign colleges. Wi-Fi is available for every student. Free medical facilities are available to students. Hostel is only available for MBBS students, and now they are constructed for every course student.
Faculty: If we study seriously and listen to our teachers lectures in class, we can definitely pass the exams with good marks. Course is relevant and is good for us if we are from science background. Semester exams are moderate and total 60 marks for theory and 40 for practical.
Other: I have chosen this course because I am interested in software developing.
