A worthwhile college for undergraduate psychology.
Placements: I did a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and there were no placements offered at that time. Internships from the college side were also not available. If you were willing to do it yourself, you were free. Generally, most colleges cannot provide placements after undergraduate studies, but internships should have been mandatory.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college was good, but classrooms assigned to the Psychology department were very less. Wi-Fi was available but generally not available to students. The Psychology lab was very good. Recently, a lift was installed, which was a savior. The infrastructure could have been improved.
Faculty: Teachers were quite supportive and helpful. The curriculum was based on the subject and was very diverse. The semester exams were very impartial and tough too. The pass percentage was above 75 percent. Teachers tried their best to complete the course, provide notes, and conduct practice sessions.
Other: I strongly felt the need to add compulsory internships for better learning and experience.

Good infrastructure and faculty members, provided internships, facilities available.
Placements: Our college had many small companies, along with companies like Amazon and TCS, for recruitment. Lots of students got internships. A few have been selected for jobs from the internships themselves. Various roles were offered to the students, such as customer care, social media manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The college classrooms are quite large and have boards and projectors. There are seminar rooms and labs for the Science and Computer departments, which are well-equipped. There is also a central library that consists of all necessary course books and references, along with separate sections for the departmental libraries. The college canteen also provides good meals that are freshly cooked. There are no hostels available at the college.
Faculty: The professors are very knowledgeable, and everyone possesses many degrees from reputed universities. They are very approachable and interact with the students in class. They always help with doubt clearing and prepare the students for the exams. The curriculum for the English Honours course, as provided by the university and college, is very relevant. It covers topics from the history of literature to post-modern literature. It helps the students pursue their careers in various fields of their choice. The semesters are moderately difficult. There is a high pass percentage; almost 90% of students pass.
Other: Everyone who likes literature should apply for the course at the college. The faculty is very good. The campus is a bit small, but we've always felt secure on the campus. There is no problem with ragging or bullying. Annual Day is celebrated yearly, along with Foundation Day and Sports Day. There are also various inter-college and intra-college competitions.

Our college has average faculty members.
Placements: Our college does not provide placements for psychology students. It provides placements for other courses. Our college does not provide internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not good. The library has limited books. Our canteen is good. Many food options are not available in our college. There is no hostel in our college. There are many hostels at Calcutta University. Students can use lift facilities. There is a small store in our college where basic stationery things are available. A gym is available for students.
Faculty: Faculty members of our department are average. They teach in the Bengal language which can be a lot challenging for outstation students to understand. They provide us with regular notes. The difficulty level of exams is increasing with each passing semester.
Other: Our college provides us with exposure. Our college conducts only a few events, fests, and workshops. It organises extracurricular activities. Scholarships are available for students belonging to West Bengal and not for outstation students. Our college should provide internships and placements for all departments.

Professors are well experienced.
Placements: In my college there is no such placement cell which will provide us with the best of jobs, but our professor tells us about top companies who are hiring in recent times. In the last three months our professor told us about hiring of infosys as a campus recruitment.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is somewhat good as it has many huge classroom, canteen, labs, elevators. College is recently started making new classrooms too. College is having no hostel facility and the food provided from the canteen is average and the cost of the food is pretty much expensive.
Faculty: The exams are conducted well and teachers provide us with all kinds of study materials to make us understand topics easily. Teachers are very supportive towards each and every student and helps them in making them understand the topics easily for everyone.
Other: College does not have smart boards, projector in each classroom for better teaching. College conducts many co-curricular activities such as cultural fest, sports day, ncc.

It is a good college, but the ambience is not good for all students.
Placements: There is no direct placement in our college. There is no highest or lowest package system in graduation. There are many recruiting companies, and there are also no direct internship companies. After completing the course, you should do your best to find a placement.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel for this college. You need to take a PG. There is no free Wi-Fi, and the lab facilities are good for students. In the library, you can find all kinds of books for your studies. Also, there is no canteen for all students, and in the teacher's canteen, the food quality is not so good.
Faculty: I am doing everything in online mode, so I cannot say anything about it. The teachers are not helpful, but they are very qualified and well-versed people. All exams are going to be in online mode so that percentages are high in the exams. Otherwise, teaching quality is average. It differs in courses.
Other: There are no events or extracurricular activities on the college campus.

This is a must consider college for English major.
Placements: There are no such placements options as far as bachelor's in English literature is concerned. This college does not offer a master's degree in the same and so in this field of academics, a higher degree, as well as skills, would play a very important role in the future placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean and there are smart boards as and when required for better understanding. The library has almost all the books one could ask for. It has separate departmental libraries. There are also facilitates and intra-college competitions in various indoor games like carrom and table tennis to name a few.
Faculty: Teachers are good in this college. They have a promising year of teaching experience. They make classroom learning exciting something which I missed greatly during the online classes. The CU curriculum is properly followed in the college. Teachers are very helpful regarding the tutorials. The pass percentage is high, Thanks to the good quality of classes provided by the teachers.
Other: I opted for this English major. I do not regret my decision of choosing this college. Teachers are good and helpful. Our separate library for the English department is also promising. Students are also shown various movie adaptations of the texts and as well as taking on several educational excursions. There are various inter and intra-college competitions organized in a year.

Placements: The placement policy is amazing. The students are always encouraged to do better. You can opt for higher studies or look for jobs in the corporate sector or prepare for government sector jobs. The teachers always guide you to which will be the best fit for you.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great, but it has no hostel. The classrooms are old school but airy, and the ambiance of learning is well preserved. The infrastructure is overall well maintained. As I am a bookworm, the very well-stocked library has always been an attraction to me.
Faculty: The faculty members in our B.A. English Hons (morning) course are really amazing. The teachers are very interactive and care for the academic records of individual students. The teachers always assign students with research assignments, which are very interesting.

Placements: We have on-campus as well as off-campus placements. For placements, we get trained from the 3rd year, and so by the time we reach the 4th year, we are well-trained. Almost 99% of the students got placed. Many students get more than one job offer. The minimum salary package offered is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college has well-equipped laboratories, and there are also air-conditioned computer laboratories. There is a huge library containing extremely good quality books. Students need not to buy books for the semester as all books are available in the library. Online books are also available. Our college has hygienic bathrooms on every floor, both for boys as well as girls. Our college has free Wi-Fi inside the campus. Our college has different clubs according to students' interests.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful, and they make us understand the topic well.
