B.Tech. in Mining Engineering - Batch of 2024

I don't recommend anyone taking admission here.
Placements: No placement opportunities are available because college is not good. Last year, 10 to 20% of students were placed in low-profile companies. The highest salary package was 1.4 LPA. Internships are also not available at this college. Students must arrange their own.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi and no quality in the classroom or library either. The hostel is too old and no facilities are available. The mess is also not good, and the food quality is too bad.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, but they don't want to teach anyone, and the management of the college is not good. The course is too good and it makes me employable. The RTU exam is too tough and we hardly pass. The pass percentage of RTU exams in our branch is almost 30%.
Other: The course is good because it makes students employable, but the study here isn't sufficient. Scholarships are not provided, and the campus is not crowded.

It's a good college in infrastructure. Facilities are fine, but placements are dissatisfying.
Placements: Almost 80% of the students are not placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 35,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Top companies are Byju's. Internships are very hard to get in various companies like Hindustan Zinc and RSMM. I don't know why it is, but here internships are very hard to get.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, but the limit is 32 MB. Labs are good and have lots of materials, and it is very useful. Classrooms are also very good and clean but a bit scary. However, it's fine. Hostel facilities are good. The mess food is fine. The canteen is also fine, not very good. Medical facilities are present. Sports and games are also present, and they are good. There are a basketball court and football ground present. The infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, and they are good. They are well educated, and we are very happy with their teaching skills. The second-year audit department is very good and better than the first-year teachers, and 2nd-year teachers are good. Head of the department is also very good, and they teach multiple courses which give us knowledge completely.

It is a decent college to study.
Placements: Placements in our college are decent enough. The average salary package offered is 3.2 LPA. If you are lucky and talented enough, then you will get a salary package of 14 LPA, which is offered by Jaro Education this year. Sometimes students also get a salary package of 21 LPA if they have a talent and not depend entirely on college. Do not expect core companies always visit our college, and it is a decent college for placements.
Infrastructure: The college provides fully equipped computer labs and other amenities. We have a special automobile lab also, which is set up by Baba Automobiles to study the IC engines. Mining Labs are developing slowly, and we can expect to complete it soon. Dark facility for lamp handling is on the verge of construction.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching is satisfactory. They are helpful in academics. There are few PhD holders, but they are well-qualified in teaching also. The course curriculum is affiliated to RTU, Kotak. The course needs to be upgraded, and syllabus should be changed. I think technical courses must be upgraded.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is the only private mining college in Udaipur that gives a recognised government degree. The second one being CTAE which is one of the top mining College in Rajasthan but we can still brag that our faculty is much more helpful towards us. I think equipment of labs must be upgraded so that we can use most of it. There is adequate equipment but needs to be upgraded. Events like annual tech fest named Techsparks is organised. This year a tech-fest named Khanik is especially for mining course, which will be organised soon. The campus is beautiful and lush green. Scholarships are available for students of Jharkhand, Jammu & Kashmir and credit card loan are also available for Bihar students.

I am dissatisfied because it didn't provide adequate faculty members to improve my education.
Placements: In our college, a total of 50-60 students in which only 3 students got placed in a core company with a salary of Rs. 5,000 per month. Only one student placed in Byjus with a salary of Rs. 50,000 per month for the role of salesman. Apart from that, even a single student is not placed in companies from college. Only one or two students got jobs due to their references. Otherwise, all students don't have jobs. Some of the students have a strong reference, but they even didn't get a job because our college has no reputation. The college didn't pay much attention to our placements. If you want to take admission in this college, then make sure you have enough contacts and references to get jobs.
Infrastructure: Our college campus is huge enough as an engineering college, diploma college, ayurvedic medical college, regular degree college and hostels are available only in one boundary. The college doesn't provide any Wi-Fi facilities. Classrooms are average, and labs quality is average with lack of apparatus. Our library is average with a lack of books. Sports and games facilities are below average, as our college has only one basketball court and ground in bad condition. In campus, there is a small canteen and a soda centre. Hostels are average with three occupancy rooms. The college has a mess, but food quality is below average. The college also doesn't provide good quality of drinking water, and washrooms are below average. I have faced many problems.
Faculty: In our branch, only 2 faculty members are available. One is HOD from mechanical engineering. We have only 2 faculty members in our 3rd and 4th-year, and in 2nd year 4 faculty members are available. I don't know about faculty members teaching quality, but they didn't reach our acceptations. The college administration doesn't pay much attention to improve our study. The college library condition is bad, and it doesn't have books. During my degree, my smartphone helped me in my studies. Usage of a smartphone depends on you whether to use it badly or good.
Other: The college provides scholarship for ST/SC category and Kashmir students.

The college is satisfactory because of the demand for mining engineers.
Placements: The placements for students in the mining engineering department are satisfactory. Approximately 80% of the students were placed this year. The average salary package offered is 2.16 LPA. The college also has a placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Shanti Suri College of Engineering is good. The college provides the Wi-Fi facility. Laboratories are well-arranged, and there are well-conditioned classrooms. The college provides sports facilities such as basketball and cricket. The quality of food is above average.
Faculty: The number of faculty members in the mining engineering branch is satisfactory. The college has organised industrial visits especially for the students of the mining engineering department. The college has also organised a national symposium on mineral resources and sustainable development.

Good infrastructure, bad placements, bad academic standard. I don't recommend this college.
Placements: The placement facility is very bad in my college. None of the companies came to my college for placement. Students try themselves for the job. My Batch is the second batch in this college. There are no facilities of internship from my college. The college has a placement cell, which is worse. The college places only 5% of the students, and about 50% find job self, and 45% are jobless.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There is one library with lack of books. The classroom is spacious but has no projector. Labs are adequate with lack of apparatus. About the medical facility, I don't know anything. Games and sports can be rated 3 out of 10. The canteen food is worse than any local stall food. Hostel rooms are good and can be rated 6 out of 10. About the Wi-Fi, I want to connect my phone to Wi-Fi but can't. Only 1 -2 months of summer, I am able to connect to my college Wi-Fi. I think my phone works well in that month.
Faculty: About the faculty, in mining branch, there are 3 teachers out of 6 in past years in that one is temporary. Mining branch is without teacher and bools growing very fast which I don't know how. Industrial exposure is 1%. There are three teachers but are well qualified. My opinion is to go to other good college and do B.Sc. If you are interested, then you do B.Tech in this college.
Other: Events, fresher, farewell, etc., are organised in this college. Students pay for this events. Scholarships are available for Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Jharkhand students, and for reserve category students of Rajasthan. Some of the students get scholarship money. Extracurricular activities are 2 % effective in this college. Campus surroundings are green with the plantation, and I like this personally. Fest is good.

A college with good infrastructure and good placements.
Placements: The 1st batch of the B.Tech in mining engineering will pass-out in 2018, so there will be no placement record at this time. I think the college is trying for placement for the mining engineering students at leading mining companies in India. The placement chance for mining engineering is greater in Rajasthan than other states.
Infrastructure: According to my thoughts, the infrastructure of the college is very good in comparison with other engineering colleges in Udaipur. Good Wi-Fi facility is available here. Good labs with all required machinery and equipment are available. Classrooms with an attached projector for digital study are present. There is a good hostel with hygienic and fresh food. There are a cricket ground, basketball ground, tennis court and kabaddi ground available. The college campus is filled with green trees.
Faculty: There will be highly qualified faculty members. Some of the faculty members have completed their degrees and PhD from IITs and NITs. The digital teaching is also used in the college. Every semester contains at least 2 or more industrial visits. The student to faculty ratio is 40:1.
Other: In the college, many types of seminars will be organised by the management or department. Transport facility is available for Udaipur area. An annual fest is organised every year by the college, and the college also organises another important fest. State government scholarship is available for poor students. At least 2000+ students are studying at this time.

Do not take admission in SS College of Engineering.
Placements: This college is located in a hall terrain, and there is a lot of opportunities to place a student in a good company, but this college gives a lot of importance to money and does not think about the future of the student. The placement of the college is not good. There are no placements for the first batch of mining engineering students. I advise you that do not take admission in this college. This college is not good for education and placements. It just wants to fill their pockets.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of SS college of engineering is good. This college is located in hilly terrain with full of trees and pure environment. There are a big garden and ground for playing a game like a cricket, volleyball, football etc. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The big advantage of this college is there is are no restrictions on entry and exit of the student at night. There is a canteen, which is also located in a college with a good food supply.
Faculty: The best faculty is available for the first-year student, but for the mining engineering students, there is only one faculty member to teach all the third and fourth-year students. The teaching methods and the faculty in this college are not good at all. So my personal advice is that do not take admission in this college. This college gives a lot of importance to money and do not think about the future of the student. The faculty availability in SS college of engineering is not good at all.
Other: Do not take admission in this college. The faculty of the college is not good. This college just wants to take money from you and does not care about you and your life. All the student study in this college thinks that they made a big mistake to take admission in this college and feels the unsecured life at all.
