European Business Analytics Institute’s Winter School on AI for Good held at SDMIMD, Mysuru

February 21, 2023: From February 1 to February 10, 2023, the Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD), Mysuru campus hosted the Winter School of the Business Analytics Institute, a French organisation. Company executives and students chosen from several European universities attended the programme. Ten Indian students from SDMIMD were chosen to attend the programme in addition to students from Belgium, Switzerland, France, and Ukraine. The programme, which had "AI for Good" as its central focus, included a workshop on machine learning tools as well as debates on ethical AI and AI for social good.

The participants in this event visited Dharmasthala and spoke with Dr. D Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari, about the SDM Trust's programmes for rural development, microfinance, and health care.

The program's participants created use cases for utilising AI to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare, education, and rural development. Dr. Lee Schlenker and Prof. Davy Cielen from the Business Analytics Institute, Prof. Christian Hitz from Zurich University, and Prof. Mohamed Minhaj from SDMIMD, Mysuru served as resource people for the programme.

SDMIMD Reports 100% Placements; Highest Package goes to INR 13 Lakh

January 19, 2022: The PGDM 2020-22 batch placement process is now complete, with all eligible students placed. The average pay for students is INR 8.9 lakh, with the highest compensation being INR 13 lakh. This year, the entire procedure was handled digitally, and nineteen companies took part in the placement season. This year, major companies such as Unilever, Capgemini, L&T Infotech, and Tech Mahindra were included. Management Trainee, Consultant, Business Analyst, Credit Analyst, Regional Area Sales Manager, and other responsibilities have been assigned to the students.

SDMIMD Inks MoU With TCS-iON

January 17, 2022: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) recently entered into an academic alliance with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The collaboration entails corporate professional input for eight choice courses, followed by an internship in a management-related field. On the TCSiON Platform, the educational cooperation will provide Supplementary Study for SDMIMD's flagship programme Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students. As part of the additional study, SDMIMD students will take TCS's renowned National Qualifier Test (NQT). SDMIMD and TCSiON will offer a combined certificate validating the supplemental study experience to students. This arrangement is ground-breaking in terms of its potential to provide great value to students and SDMIMD's ability to utilise its relationship with a prominent firm of TCS' magnitude. The contract is for a period of five years.

Dr NR Parasuraman, Director, SDMIMD, and Ravindra Kembhavi, Head Sales and Chief Education Evangelist, TCS iON, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Dr D Veerendra Heggade, Chairman SDMIMD.

The collaboration is in keeping with the New Education Policy 2020's primary aim of preparing students for real-world situations.

SDMIMD Introduces AICTE Approved one year Post Graduate Programme in Entrepreneurship & Family Business

May 11, 2021: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) is pleased to announce the introduction of an AICTE-approved PGCM programme aimed specifically at aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly those who have grown up in a family business. The curriculum also seeks to impart expertise and offer opportunities to apply management ideas, philosophies, and values. Domain experts from entrepreneurial ventures, funding agencies, and practitioners are also actively involved.

SDMIMD will collaborate with M/S Silicon Road, start-up ideation, venture capital, and accelerator company based out of Mysore and United States, founded by Sid Mookerji, a well-known serial entrepreneur from Mysore and Atlanta, USA.

The institute has also achieved certain International accreditations that include EFMD, ACBSP, EFMD acceptance of BSIS, QS-I-gauge 'Diamond' ranking, NBA, AIU equivalence to MBA, and international tie-up agreements with 15 universities around the world.

QS-I-Gauge Felicitates SDMIMD with Diamond Rating Among Management Institutes of India

September 5, 2020: The QS-I-Gauge, India Specific Rating Office for Quacquarelli Symonds, London, awarded the highest level of 'Diamond' rating to Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development, Mysuru among all management institutes of India. Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings and the Higher Education Institutes Ranking are universally accepted throughout the world in the fraternity of higher education institutions, corporate employers and among the students’ community. The ratings are decided after evaluating the participating and the eligible institutes on the basis of the number of parameters relevant to the management education and most importantly independent study.  

Earlier this year in January 2020, the Institute has been presented with Business School Impact System (BSIS) certification by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) who have also renewed the institute’s PGDM accreditation for a period of three years.

Even during the difficult times of global pandemic due to the novel Coronavirus, SDMIMD has managed to achieve 100 per cent admissions for the batch 2020-22 and classes are going to commence in online mode.
