The college is worst and placements provided are very bad.
Placements: Almost 2-3% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was of 3.5 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 2 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was of 1.5 LPA. TCS was the top recruiting company in our course. None of the students got internships from our course. Trainee roles were offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was not provided to students. Technical labs were fine for getting practical knowledge, and classrooms were not up to the mark. The library was fine having a good collection of engineering-related books. The hostel was the worst, and the quality of food served in the mess was disgusting. The food served in the canteen was fine.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was fine. The course curriculum was not up to date as the college was under state technical university guidance. The course curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready.
Other: It is a good college for local students.

Infrastructure, college campus, and teachers are all nice. Only improve fests and events.
Placements: Many top-level companies come here for placement programs. The minimum package is I think 4 LPA and the maximum is 21 to 22 LPA. Many top-performing students get placements, and many also get to do internships. Companies like Google, etc, come here.
Infrastructure: Okay, so the infrastructure and college campus are really good. The college campus feels premium and the classes are also good. The buildings are upgrading. I don't live in the hostel, so I don't know much about the hostel. Overall, I really like the campus and infrastructure.
Faculty: Teachers are really very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teachers here are really good, and I like the way they teach. The teachers try their best to help us solve our problems. Some teachers are really friendly as well, and I also like the way they teach.
Other: So here, the fests and events are really bad. they don't organize any fests or events. Earlier they used to do so, but now it is just zero.

A value for money college.
Placements: Around 60% of students got placed from our batch in good companies. The average package was around 5 to 6 LPA. There were also some internship programmes provided which helped us to increase our rating in CVs and at the end of college, placement options offered were also good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but the hostel is not that great. Although in terms of rooms and food, we have a twin sharing room and available food is good but it could have been better. The hostel's location is good and the ventilation of the hostel is great. They employ maids for room maintenance and provide coolers as well.
Faculty: The best part of the college is the faculty and they are well qualified, especially the guest faculty members in our college. The course curriculum is relevant and the semester exams focus on overall development and knowledge. It feels great to learn from them.
Other: I chose this course because my father himself is a civil engineer and I wanted to be the same. The college provides a pretty good campus life with annual events and great activities including sports and intellectuals related. Overall, it was a good experience.

Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Engineering and Technology has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses:

| B.E. / B.Tech | Candidate who has passed Diploma in Engineering/Architecture from a recognised board/university with 45% marks for UR category (40% marks for SC/ST/OBC and PWD category of Chattisgarh) can also apply for the course. Candidate passing 10th/12th through distance learning/open school shall be eligible for admission. Candidate passed Diploma programme through distance learning shall not be eligible to apply. If the candidate has passed 10+2 examination, but failed in one or more compulsory subject than the candidate shall not be considered eligible for admission. If the candidate is declared passed with grace as per the rule of related board than the candidate shall be eligible to apply. Candidate Upper age limit is 30 years for UR category, 35 years for PWD who belongs to UR category of Chattisgarh, 33 years for SC/ST/OBC and Female category of Chattisgarh, and 38 years for PWD who belongs to SC/ST/OBC and female category of Chattisgarh as on 1st of July of academic year. |
