IIT Bhilai released it's round 1 cutoff for 2025. As per the cutoff released, the closing ranks varied between 523 and 613. The cutoff was released for MSc in Chemisty, MSc in Mathematics and Computing, and M.Sc. in Physics. For the aforementioned specialisations, the closing ranks were 613, 523 and 566, among the General AI category candidates. IIT Bhilai BTech Admission 2025
IIT Bhilai offers BTech courses in six specialisations. The college has allocated a specific number of seats for each specialisation. IIT Bhilai JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the various BTech course specialisations. The cutoff was released for all rounds for the students under the All India quota.
For the General AI category, the closing rank was 7382 in the last round. On the other hand, for the OBC AI category, the last round cutoff rank was 2832. Comparing both these ranks, we can see that the competition for the General AI category is lower in the last round than the OBC AI category.

IIT Bhilai offers a four-year full-time BTech programme which is its flagship programme. The institute offers a BTech programme across six specialisations. Given below are the six BTech specialisations offered at IIT Bhilai:

IIT Bhilai Mechanical cutoff was released for admission for all rounds and All India categories based on the JEE Advanced results.
For the General AI category, the last round cutoff rank for BTech in Mechanical Engineering was 12428. In 2024 and 2023, the closing cutoffs were 11505 and 12484, respectively. After analysing this difference, we can conclude that the cutoff trend for this category has been fluctuating over the years.

The NTA will administer the JEE Main 2026 test in two sessions. JEE Main 2026 application form session 1 is now available. Because the exam will be given twice, the NTA will issue a different application form for the April sessions. According to the timetable, the Joint Entrance Main Exam 2026 will be held in two sessions: JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will be held between January 21 to 30, 2026 and JEE Main Session 2 Exam 2026 will be held between April 2 - April 9, 2026.
The first session exam was conducted on January 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29, 2025 (Paper 1), and January 30, 2025 (Paper 2). The second session of JEE Mains was held from April 1 to 8, 2025. The JEE Main 2025 exam date for sessions 1 and 2 can be checked on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electrical Engineering at IIT Bhilai - Indian Institute of Technology other than General category were - 4044 for OBC, 2044 for SC, 1021 for ST and 1748 for EWS. For 2022, cut off was 10333 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Mechatronics Engineering in IIT Bhilai - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 22429 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
For 2023, cut off was 10745 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering in IIT Bhilai - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 15222 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
The IIT Bhilai Jam Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course was M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing, with the Cutoff of 511, with the General AI category candidates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff stood at 666.
If the Cutoff rank is more than 511, there is no scope for admission to IITs for M.Sc in Mathematics and Computing.
The cutoff trend for BTech in CSE at IIT Bhilai - Indian Institute of Technology has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2021, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 5644. In 2022, it decreased to 5172. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2100 to 1967 for OBC, 1219 to 1183 for SC, 641 to 542 for ST, 742 to 815 for EWS and 151 to 148 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.
IIT Bhilai accepts IIT JAM for admission into MSc courses. The cut-off for IIT JAM is released in the form of Cutoff ranks. The number of seats available is directly propotionate to Cutoff ranks. The trend observed indicates that as the number of students passing the exam increases, the closing ranks also increase. Looking at the Cutoff ranks for this year, the numbers showed that the number of seats have increased in comparison to the last year, as the Cutoff ranks have also increased. This also indicates that the competition has declined. Looking at the Cutoff ranks fot the past three years, the competition has been fluctuating. IIT Bhilai round 6 cutoff has been released for admission to various BTech specialisations. The cutoff was released for different categories belonging to the All India quota. The cutoff ranks among the General AI category closed between 7382 and 17478. Therefore, 350 is an excellent score to get admission to IIT Bhilai for candidates belonging to the General AI category.

To apply for IIT Bhilai BTech course, you have to register for JEE Main at NTA website. The exam is conducted in two sessions. You may apply for either of the session by paying INR 1,000 (for boys) and INR 800 (for girls) as application fees.

In 2025, the IIT Jammu CSE cutoff was relatively less competitive for admission as compared to that of IIT Goa for students belonging to the General AI quota.
