It is a reputed college with good placements and student-friendly environment.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in top-notch companies like Accenture, Deloitte, Capgemini, Infosys, etc. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Around 75% of students got internships in companies like Infosys and Deloitte. We can emerge as software developers, system engineers, system analysts, app developers, web developers, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent including a spacious greenery area. Classrooms are fully equipped with smart class technologies along with high internet Wi-Fi support. The food served in the canteen is good. Medical facilities are available 24X7. Sports areas are also provided for students.
Faculty: Our teachers are Ph.D. scholars, and their teaching method is unique. Our course curriculum makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are held with a good level of questions.
Other: Our course will boost students in the future with advanced technology. Everything in this course will help students to keep updated with future technology.

It is a college with a placement of more than 87%.
Placements: The placement percentage this year was 87% with the highest package of 7 LPA and an average package of 4 LPA. The top recruiter is Capgemini, Accenture, and L&Ts. The internship was provided by Capgemini, DXC technology, and many more. The top roles which are offered were data analytics and ASE and advanced ASE roles.
Infrastructure: The food is good and the hostel room is spacious. Cleaning is done regularly, the room has enough space and furniture is provided like table chair, etc. Clean bathroom and toilet are available. The hostel is within the campus and has support all the time.
Faculty: The faculty members are very supportive they are always available. They make every concept clear so that we understand new things. Each department has five to six faculty members with the head of the department for any queries. For other things, we can meet the faculty members in cubicles to ask the doubt.

Placements: Placements are good in our college. Top IT-based companies like TCS, Wipro Accenture, Amazon, and Mindtree come to our college for campus placements. The placements in our college are also facilitated by the main campus located in Bhubaneswar which is a plus point. About 80% of students are placed each year. The highest salary package offered is 9 LPA on-campus. The average salary package offered is 5.8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The hostels on our campus are good. Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls with Wi-Fi connections 24X7. Students call the hostels silicon residents here. Each room in the hostel is shared by 3 individuals. Each room has 3 beds with mattresses and pillows, 3 tables with chairs, and 3 separate lockers. Canteen food is average, and the campus has a cafeteria also where students can spend time in the evening. The canteen bill is separate from the institute and hostel fees.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and very much dedicated to their job. The teacher students ratio is 5:1. Theories are always ready to help each student without discrimination. Our college is currently affiliated with BPUT Rourkela, but soon going to be a university. The course curriculum is as per BPUT norms. The course makes each student industry ready and well performed. In each semester, different unit tests are conducted to make students ready for the main semester exams. Almost all the students get good grades in the exams, and students with back papers are very rare.
Other: I opted for this CSE course, because of my interest in computer science. The education provided here is good and seniors are also helpful. On the campus, different clubs are there to sharpen the student's skills and make them industry-ready. But also certain things need to be improved in this college. Every year a cultural fest organised here, other events like the annual tech festival, and annual sports are also held.

Silicon west is a good engineering college for engineering aspirants.
Placements: Placements are good. College somewhere lags behind giving proper planning for students to see the real life competition and provide a platform to know more about the placement drives. Many recruiting companies like infosys, wipro, etc. Comes every year for offering jobs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and the hostel facilities are good. It provides wi-fi everywhere inside the campus. Labs are also good with all proper equipments. Lab experiments are done with proper guidence of respective branch faculty members. Scope for sports and games are good.
Faculty: Silicon west provides 5 branch of engineering studies here (mech, civil, CSE, ECE, ee). All the branch consists a group of qualified and experienced teachers. The faculty members very helpful and knowledgeable. The lab works are also given equal importance like studies.
Other: I chose to join computer Science and engineering branch here.

Absolutely satisfied with the campus life but the campus placement may had went more proper.
Placements: 50% students were placed and rest other students got placed from off campus placement. Some other students went for higher studies like GATE and MBA. Although my branch was civil so we were not allowed to sit in most of the companies as there were more IT companies who came for placement.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure with all the amenities. The campus had both boys and girls hostel with a different mechanical laboratory, wi-if, classrooms, library, medical facilities, sports and games. The campus had well furnished chair and table with proper gardening in the campus.
Faculty: The teachers were very helpful and qualified. They always guided in the campus as well as outside the campus. The teaching methods were very good and college always gave me exposure in and out the campus. The course included both theoretical and practical teaching.

Placements: The placement percentage is around 60%. Companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and Soctronics visited the campus for placements. The highest salary package was Rs. 6,00,000 per annum, and it was offered to the students of Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, and it is also above distinction college. Here, the discipline of students is very good.
Infrastructure: There is a skylab in our college. There is a library with more than 80,000 books. Classrooms are good. The hostel rooms are not that good as they provide one room for three students. Food facilities are good, and the quality of the food is good quality. The canteen is in the centre of our college. Roti in our canteen is too bad as we are not able to eat it easily.
Faculty: The faculty members are the power of Silicon as they are the people through which Silicon has got the reputation. Their teaching is very well. Every year, they complete the syllabus before the time. Many students of Silicon qualified the GATE exam and hired by PSUs, government sector, and foreign sector.
Other: Every year, two techfests, one cultural night, and two Zygons are organised in our college. The campus is green, and the environment is good, but the fee is too high, and that is Rs. 1,38,000 per year.
