Yes, PDEU accepts scores of CAT entrance exam for its MBA course. Candidates who have valid score of CAT can apply on the official website of SoM PDEU. Apart from this, the institute also accepts scores of other entrance exams such as XAT, MAT and NMAT. A total of 60% weightage is given for the entrance exam in the entire selection process. Candidates are able to proceed for futher rounds, only after the submission of the scores of respective entrance  exams.

CAT application process for the current year has already been concluded. The exam has also been conducted. The results and answer key are expected to be released at the iimcat.ac.in website. The CAT 2026 registration dates are not announced yet.

The total amount of SoM PDEU MBA fee for both the years INR 11.55 lakh. The course fee also includes various components such as Tuition Fee, University Enrolment & Examination Fee, Trimester Enrolment & Examination Fee as the academic charges. Apart from this, candidates also have to pay for Hostel Fee, Mess Fee, Refundable Security Deposit and Library Charges. The fee components may vary for NRI/ Sponsored candidates.

The total seat intake for MBA course at SoM PDEU is 180 + 2 (Defence personnel/ CAPF). This seat intake has bifurcated among various categories as per the reservations. MBA is the flagship programme of School of Management, PDEU. Students pursuing MBA are open to campus placements. In the recent placement drive, a the highest package of INR 14.71 LPA was offered to students. The average package stood at INR 8.91 LPA. Some of the top recruiters like Accenture, ICICI Bank, KPMG, Infosys, etc. participated in the placement drive.

Admission to an MBA programme in the School of Management (SoM), Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) is moderately costly. The cost of the full 2 years MBA programme is approximately 104000/- INR which is broken up as tuition fees, examination fees and other incidental charges. The total expense to complete the course is approximately INR 8.4 Lacs besides, it costs INR 4.2 Lacs per annum. Also there is deposit which is 10000 INR one time and registration fee of 5000 INR one time. The costs per annum of the hostel are INR 80, 000-1.2 Lacs as per the type of a hostel that the stu-dents want to get themselves accommodated in.

It shall be compulsory for the candidates to appear in all components of the selection tests to succeed for the admission, as one of the means. Selection of students shall be done using the following measures along with the weightage mentioned in the table below:

For admission to a two-year MBA course at SoM PDEU, candidates have to meet the basic educational requirements as per the course. To be eligible to apply for MBA programme, candidates must complete graduation with at least 50% aggregate in all semesters/ trimesters or equivalent CGPA.There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate for reserved category candidates. They have to get 45% aggregate as the minimum requirement for the course. Aspirants appearing for the final year semester exam of bachelor's degree or equivalent can also apply provided they score at least 50% aggregate in all semesters/ years.

SoM, Pandit Deendayal Energy University has a good track record of placements for its MBA course. As per the latest report, the the highest package offered to the students during the academic year 2023-24 was INR 24.1 LPA. In addition to this, the average package stood at INR 9.30 LPA.
