MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2024
4.2
Totally satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: 1 year of internship is necessary for course completion. The stipend is very low as compared to other colleges. Current stipend is 7000/month. It's a great opportunity to work under different departments and gain hands-on experience and improve our clinical skills. After internship, we can apply for a job as JR, and the expected salary is 4.8 - 9.6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure is good. It is situated over a vast area of 50 acres with good patient loads and facilities. OP facilities and 24/7 casualty with free Wi-Fi, diagnostic labs, pharmacy, operation theatre, blood bank, and radiodiagnostic department are available in the hospital block. The academic block contains labs, a lecture hall, an auditorium, and a library. A canteen is also there. Separate Men's and Ladies' hostels are there. A and B blocks with 5 floors have larger rooms than C and D blocks. C block has 10 floors. Lift facilities are available. A swimming pool and gym are also there near the hostel. AC will also be provided if needed. The quality of food is average.
Faculty: Faculty members are really good and experienced. Theory classes are usually by slide presentations. Practical sessions are in respective labs. Sessional exams are conducted in between semesters. University exams are conducted yearly, with 1st-year and final-year exams being the most difficult. Students need to score at least 50% to pass.
Other: I chose this college as I was allotted this college based on my NEET score. The tuition fee is not affordable to many, but scholarships are available for SC/ST/OEC category. It is a class of 150 students, and we made a lot of memories together. A separate basketball court and football ground, along with a lot of space, are there to vibe with our friends. Music and literature clubs are there. Interbatch sports and arts fests are conducted every year. Onam celebrations, college, and graduation ceremony are moments to cherish.

Review of Sree Gokulam Medical College.
Placements: Our college conducts the best classes. They provide good exposure to clinical affairs, inter equipment, and accessories. All students who have passed the 4th year got placed in the hospital to complete house surgency, with a salary of around Rs. 6,000 per month, which is low compared to government medical colleges.
Infrastructure: Our college has well-furnished classrooms. They are equipped with air-conditioners. They provide separate technical assistants for technical support. Our college has a good canteen and a stationery shop. It provides separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are good. Our college provides facilities for sports like a football ground, basketball court, and a shuttle court.
Faculty: Our faculty members are experts. Many professors are from government medical colleges with years of experience. Our college provides us with tutors. Each student is guided by separate mentors who are doctors from different departments of the hospital.
Other: Our college offers many extracurricular activities and resources to help students develop their skills and interest. There are inter-batch arts festivals, inter-medicos, tournaments, etc. Our college has a student-friendly environment. Our college is ragging-free.

It's a good college with a lot of freedom.
Placements: We have the best in class and good exposure to students in clinical affairs and international equipment and accessories. Patients are there in ample amounts, which helps to build knowledge in all aspects of patient care and management. The maintenance of the hostel is not good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in terms of hostels and other things is not that good. There is a good playground available. Labs are good but maintenance is really poor. Infrastructure and services are also not that good but comparatively better than others. I think it is best in private colleges in Kerala.
Faculty: The faculty in our college doesn't care much about the students in any case. They are least bothered about students and their well-being. It's a big drawback. Exams are conducted properly, and the course is also good, but life as a medico is hard. So we should be ready by all means.

Sree gokulam medical college Review
Placements: The total strength is 100 students each year. As this is a medical college, a one-year compulsory internship is required after completing the course. No other placements are provided by the college. During the internship, you will receive a stipend of 10,000 per month and will rotate through every department.
Infrastructure: There are well-equipped hospital facilities, a lecture hall, canteen, laboratories, and the hostel is also good. The library is large and well-equipped. The hostel is neat and tidy with Wi-Fi facilities, and the food is of good quality. The lecture hall is big and has smart class features.
Faculty: The faculty is experienced, educated, and approachable. The teaching quality is up to the mark, with more interactive sessions. The course consists of preclinical, paraclinical, and clinical subjects, which should be completed in four and a half years. Along with this, research and other assignments are involved in each subject. Following this, a one-year compulsory internship must be completed. The course is well-updated and easily divided. There will be two internal assessment exams conducted by the college and a university exam at the end of the year to assess students' knowledge in both practical and theoretical aspects.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a doctor from a very young age. The best thing about this course is that you can serve people and earn well. I wish the subjects were less hectic and less crowded.

Everything you need in a medical college, you will find it here, Sree Gokulam Medical College.
Placements: 150 students in each batch. Placements depend on the branch. Professors and HoD, which is the highest post for them, get 4-5 lakh per month. JR for them Rs. 50-70,000 per month. AIIMS, other private hospitals, and colleges like KMC, Medanta, and Apollo recruit. 1 year internship is mandatory in our own college.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are far above average and better than those of a government college and hospital. Mess food is good. 24hr Wi-Fi service in both the college and hostel. Libraries are there with thousands of medical books. Hostels are spacious and clean. Mess and canteen are sufficient in terms of hygiene, and the quality of food we are getting is the best compared to all other medical colleges in Kerala. Hostels are spacious, mostly with attached washrooms and 2 beds per room. Regular sports and events occur.
Faculty: Teachers are dedicated towards their profession. They are punctual and deliver lectures without missing any relevant knowledge. MBBS is a definitely relevant course. No need to mention the importance of medicine. Semester exams are based on the university exam pattern, so it's not that difficult, only important and relevant questions are asked in exams. As for my batch [2024], we all passed our first year. Most of the time, the overall passing percentage is above 90%.
Other: The MBBS course I chose, of course, is for earning good and for treating people, so that I can connect with people. These themselves are the best things about MBBS. I wish the syllabus division could be improved, meaning that rather than telling everything, only the important things should be told. A lot of activities, festivals, and events happen here so that students' minds can remain fresh and active, and they will not feel boredom or depression.
