However, if you are opting for admission in engineering, the process is divided for stream 1 and 2 applicants. In stream-1, enrolment will be on the basis on marks obtained in JEE and 10+2 exam. But, in stream-2, your 12th Boards examination marks will be taken into consideration. The process of stream-2 is followed for admission to other courses as well.

The admissions to various B Tech courses of Srinivasa Ramanujan Center- SASTRA (Thanjavur & Kumbakonam) is done in the following process:

• JEE Mains score :  Admission to 50% of seats shall be based on normalised aggregate Class 12 Scores and available JEE Main scores taken together with 50% weightage each.  Seats will be filled based on the ranks secured by student.
• Class 12 score: Remaining 50% of seats shall be based on the normalised aggregate Class 12 score awarded by the respective boards. Rank list will be prepared based on this aggregate score and admissions will be made based on the rank secured.
